Manchester is an absolutely amazing city with so much to do in it, it has a great history of music which has revolutionised the night life in the city. Transport is super accessible from pretty much anywhere and the food places located in the town centre are some of the best Iv ever had

Really good city as it is constantly busy feels a bit like a smaller London. Great for people who love nightlife events as lots of artist tend to play and there's always something to do every night no matter what day of the week it is. You can easily walk around the city and sometimes it's quicker than getting taxis/ buses. Trams aswell are really good.

Manchester offers a wide range of opportunities for nights out and meals out with friends. From the printworks to the northern quarter, there is a wide veriety of restaurants to choose from, whether your taste be English, Chinese or Indian cuisine. What's more, the modern tram station makes commutes throughout the city, for both students and workers, efficient and stress free.

Choice of food goes from A to Z there's no question about variety. Manchester is like one giant family, everyone supports everyone and it's an amazing atmosphere. Transport is iffy but you can't really complain to say it's such a big city making so many connections. There's honest to god nothing better than a good shop in the arndale and there's always at least one shop with a sale on. No need to make a comment about value for money when everything's as cheap as it is.

Manchester is a very nice and busy city. It has large shopping centres such as the Arndale and the Trafford centre which has a variety of shops and both have a good food hall which has many different places to eat in.

The perfect place for shopping with both the arndale and the trafford centre. The amount of food places is fantastic and you're always spoilt for choice. A city full of quirky bars and student club nights to let your hair down.

Manchester is such a good city to experience life as student. Its a step down from London in price but has near enough the same amount of things to do! From the Curry Mile, Oxford Road & Manchester City Centre, Chorlton, Northern Quarter and Didsbury theres loads of places to go for food and drinks. TRANSPORT Manchester is also super accessible as daytime and night buses run throughout Manchester frequently - and not just the city centre. Theres also the metro link, train and Uber (if you're lazy like me). NIGHTS OUT Theres so many fun nights out too: you've got NQ for a more casual bar crawl night, deans gate locks on a Friday or Saturday for a more dressy night and club liv If you really wanna go all out! I defo recommend you check out events at Viva if you're into RnB and hip hop too! SHOPPING Manchester is home of the Trafford centre and Manchester Arndale as well as many other retail parks... COOL STUFF If you want some different yet cool stuff to do, the NQ has lots of quirky things and places to develop new skills. Take a visit to the Cat Cafe, or take a dance or pole fitness class at Studio 25! Around Christmas there are the German Markets on Market street in the city centre, theres an ice rink in The Trafford Centre and some really beautiful Christmas decorations.

Manchester is such a fun, lively city with so many great bars and restaurants. It's great for going out at night or even in the day if you want to hit some nice coffee shops or nice places for lunch. The university's are great too! Manchester at Christmas is great as the Christmas markets come to town and take over. The atmosphere is so much fun and everyone one is in such great spirits.

Manchester is the best place to study for it's location because there's everything you could possibly want... and lots of it! Whether your idea if a night out is a bar, pub, restaurant or club - there's a massive variety to choose from for everyone. Foodies can enjoy any kind of cuisine late into the night with delivery through UberEATS and delivroo too! Alternatively you can go for the luxury experience of dining out or indulge yourself on a saturday night by nipping into the nearest takeaway no further than 10 minutes from anywhere you live. With almost every shop under the sun spread throughout the city, you'll be burning holes in your pockets (giving you another excuse to buy a new pair of jeans whilst you're at it!) and don't forget the various forms of entertainment. Go for a spa day, a comedy club night, crazy golfing, to the cinema or even up a hot air balloon. The opportunities in Manchester are endless. And when better to enjoy such a glorious city than whilst making new friends at uni.

Manchester offers plenty, that caters for all. The city is filled with great bars/venues, that consistently offer quality nights. Even going in to fourth year, I am still finding entire new areas of town that I had never been to before. Areas of note are the northern quarter, didsbury and chorlton (and probably plenty more that I haven’t yet stumbled upon) for great bars, restaurants and music venues.

Manchester is the ultimate student city. It has everything: amazing nights out, cultural hotspots, really good for shopping, millions of places to eat. The Northern Quarter is amazing too.

Manchester is the UK’s musical capital, with good reason. The nightlife is absolutely incredible, no matter what time or what day there’s always something going on. Cocktails, minigolf, clubbing, eating, shopping and all that topped with the friendly mancunian feeling of togetherness, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!

Nights out are great and cheap. Everything is close. Lots of food places. Also therr’s a variety of thinks to do other than go out drinking if that’s not for you.

I started MMU in 2012 and I fell in love with the city straight away. It’s friendly, has plenty of places to eat and party and overall has a good vibe! My fave place to go out is NQ as I enjoy a chilled vibe when I’m having a few drinks with friends. The warehouse project is another great thing Manchester has to offer, putting on sick nights showing the best DJ’s. 10/10 would recommend.

Manchester has many pros - great nights out, there’s lots to do in town, very multicultural, great public transport system, plenty of different types of food. Arndale and Trafford centre are not too far and have a great range of choices.

This is a brilliant place to live. If you like going to gigs then every band comes to Manchester and there are loads of great venues. You can go for a night out whenever you like as there is always somewhere good open.

Manchester is an excellent city in which to attend university due to the great quality of teaching at the universities, buzzing nightlife, vast range of cultures and the sheer amount of activities to explore both in the city centre and surrounding areas.

Vibrant nightlife—many student venues. Plenty of shopping options with the Arndale in the city centre. Many sources of affordable transportation make Manchester very accessible. There are many cheap shopping options, along with an abundance of student food deals at restaurants weekly.

Something about Manchester is truely magical and makes you never want to leave! Home to both a red brick and a met uni as well as music collages and other universities in surrounding areas such as Salford, Manchester is full of students and you will fit right in! Starting with night life, there is truely something for everyone. From raves and drum and base events to deansgate locks for getting all dressed up and a whole street of gay clubs where you can really let your hair down and everything in between. Next is the food available. Where do I even begin?! Manchester is full of both chain and independent restaurants and coffee shops serving every cuisine you can imagine. If I was to tell you where most of my student loan got spent, I’d start with the independent quirky restaurants in the northern quarter. Transport in Manchester is great too. With one of the busiest routes in UK, up and down the curry mile couldn’t be easier. Buses run every 10 mins straight through the student hub of fallowfield straight into the city centre for only £1.50 each way or a one year student rider which is defiantly worth the upfront cost! I could go on all day about how much I love Manchester, would recommend it to anyone!!!!!
