Best cities in the world. Cosmopolitan city with diverse people living in the urban. Very thing is easily accessible. Standard of living good and pay rate is high. Friendly people with highly respecting to tourists.

Great variety of clubs that are really catered for young people. It can be slightly dodgy at night so you should always travel in groups on a night out. There are loads of cheap places to eat in town.

Amazing! Great value for money pretty much everywhere, and there’s great things to do.. ranges from free museums, like The Whitworth and the Uni of Manchester Museum, to crazy golf with a bar and some amazing clubs - Hidden is one of the best. Amazing transport too, so easy and regular.

Great place to live and study. Cool bars, great vegan food places and there is always something to do.

Manchester is a very lively city and has great attractions. The city is very colourful at night and the night outs can be spectacular, there are also two great shopping centres such as Arndale and the Trafford Centre that include high fashion retailers

The city overall is pretty amazing, including the nightlife, the shopping and the restaurants. The Arndale centre is a fabulous source of trendy clothes, fabulous food sources in the Food Court and tech savvy shops. Manchester City centre also consists of the Printworks which has a cinema and restaurants and is a hub for students and young people. There’s many things to do in Manchester and the surrounding areas including bowling and shopping at The Trafford Centre. The value for money is fantastic. The transport, however, can be unreliable sometimes especially the tram but replacement buses are given.

Very decent night out for student students during weekdays! However a little bit pricey on weekends! Lovely offering of food places with loads around printworks and oxford road. Local shopping centre (Manchester Arndale) has all the shops you could need and only in town or there’s the option of the Trafford centre if you want a fun busy day out! Bus and transport links are cheap and very frequent so makes getting around much easier!! It’s considered to be always raining in Manchester and I’m afraid that is the truth as it is always cold and wet!

Vibrant, fun and versatile city.. you can never run out of things to do. Great for meals, drinks and nights out. There’s always somewhere new to try! I’ve lived here throughout uni and I have currently gone on to study my LPC and Business masters in Manchester.. Manchester is like a second home.

Manchester is such a wonderful city! The shopping firstly is amazing it has all the shops you would need all in proximative to one another. All the major high streets shops are there. Also the choice of restaurants and bars in Manchester makes it a great city for the evenings. Spinning fields is the best area for a nice meal followed by drinks and cocktails into the night.

Manchester is the perfect size city for a student, it doesn't have the sky-high prices or daunting size of London, but itnhas just enough of everything spread across different accessible areas to keep you on your toes. There are plenty of low to high end shopping options downtown as well as the trafford centre closeby if you fancy a day. The choice of bars, clubs and restuarants is expansive, and you never get bored, too! To top it off the transport links, especially bus system, are affordable and reliable as well as very frequent. Overall one of my favourite cities!

I love Manchester, the nights out are great if you know where to go you could end up having a great night with a small amount of money. Food in Manchester is also great, there are so many different places to choose from. Manchester is such a diverse area, no matter what kind of food you're after, you're probably going to find it.

In Manchester your imagination will run wild with things to do. As well all are food fanatics food to have in Manchester is a must do. From your cheap to expensive meals from your salads to your deserts Manchester in general is a fantastic place to be. In regards to shopping there is Trafford centre and arndale and oh wow the shopping possibilities are countless.

Manchester is a great city, especially for students. Value for money is pretty good if you know where you're looking. There's loads of great weekday food deals in the northern quarter and city centre and you can easily get something really good to eat for less than a fiver. For nights out Deansgate tends to be pricier and a lot of chains, outside the centre tends to be cheaper although there's some really great, more alternative night at places like soup kitchen in town. Recently the council have been moving the night scene away from student areas and the outskirts into the city centre so I'd recommend making the most of it before it's gone.

Manchester is an amazing city for site seeing, shopping and it's vibe is a lot cheerful than other places in the UK.

Manchester is a very multicultural and diverse city. There is a lot to do here at very affordable prices. For the art lovers and cultural enthusiasts, we have various museums and galleries like the Manchester Art Gallery, Whitworth Museum and Science and Industry Museum. Manchester also has a very buzzing music scene be it various local artists or international acts, you are bound to find music to suit all tastes here. It goes without saying the nightlife here is the best with every affordable rates for drinks and entry for clubs. This city is also delight for our foodies, with various cuisines available and many of the establishes London restaurants are also making their way up north to Manchester like Dishoom. Finally, it won't be right to talk about Manchester without mentioning the football scene here. Home to two of the biggest team City and United, Manchester is buzzing with football frenzy throughout the year and the National Football Museum only serves to add to this charm.

I have lived in manchester for the past 3 years and plan to stay in the city for an additional year after I graduate this summer. Manchester is a truly diverse city offering something for everything and I believe that this is what makes the city so great, it welcomes people from all walks of life and caters for each of those individuals. Something that stands out to me is the quality of education. From red brick universities to niche technology centres, Manchester is a hub for learning and education in the north. Retail is also something that stands out in the city. The Trafford centre and Arndale centre are every shopping lovers dream offering a mixture of high-street retail stores and more luxury high end designer outlets in department stores such as selfrdiges and Harvey Nichols. The sports facilities on offer are also impressive. With an abundance of choice you are never far away from a gym or leisure centre. Manchester is a city that prides itself on its footballing legacy with 2 leading premiership stadiums within a stones throw from the city centre, you are truly immersed in the strong footballing tradition the minute you enter the city. The transport system is overall is efficient, however I believe the rail system could be greatly improved between the city and more suburban areas. The nightlife in Manchester is varied and can cater for a range of budgets and music tastes. The more expensive bars and clubs are generally found in the spinningfields/deansgate districts. One thing that I feel is lacking are bars that are open till later. Many bars close at 12/1am and the only way to stay out later than that is by moving onto a club with later closing times. This is something that I find a problem as sometimes I do not wish to go clubbing! I feel that many of the clubs play 2 types of music: chart music or indie music. As a city that has a strong musical reputation it is frustrating to see many of the clubs limiting their events to this type of music. It would be great to see more techno, house, garage and grime events in the city. The gentrification of places such as Salford has been hugely beneficial for the city's economy in terms of business and has also afforded many opportunities for graduates. Manchester, I'm my opinion is the 2nd capital of the country and a city I'm proud to call my home.

Manchester is a vibrant city offering a night out to suit everyone and a restaurant to suit your taste. If it's a bar crawl you want or a spot for brunch, the NQ is the place to go. Featuring unique individual shops that you can spend hours having a browse in. Restaurants don't come in short supply with every taste of the world spread amongst the city. From Thai to steak houses, from burgers to Mexican food. All offering friendly service and tasty food.

There are many places to go on nights out places for everyone. There is also multiple restaurants around the city for people to visit and try offering things for everyone.

Great food, a lot of cheap and quirky places to visit. The printworks is a good choice for a place to eat, its full of different restraunts.

Everything is amazing in the City of Manchester from the Shopping centres in the day to the amazing restaurants at night!

Overall Manchester has a wide range of shops for a variety of people, the high streets are modernised but they also have didn't catogeries. Something that I would advise to improve in Manchester is getting more bins throughout the city, especially in the city centre. As this will reduce the littering as people when busy or shopping don't like waiting over five minutes of walking for a bin. Moreover, for a city Manchester is reasonable for prices of things as they are just like smaller towns prices. For restaurants and night life Manchester is very popular as a lot of smaller town and outer town people come to enjoy a night to wine or dine or a party night in Manchester. As they deliver entertainment but also have posh and extravagant bars and nightclubs which people aren't use to and can enjoy. A development to the city could be the amount of transport to reduce the rush and arguements and violence. They should be more frequent transport provided so it isn't as busy and as they will be more frequent the queues won't be as excessive.

Good nights out - can go really cheap (printworks, deansgate locks) to moderate prices (Northen Quater) to expensive (spiningfields). Plenty places to eat of which NQ has more smaller individual places, Corn exchange has many different places of different cuisines and spiningfields has some great for dates. Plenty shopping places with a large Primark.

It's brilliant for dining out, as it offers ranges of food cultures such as Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, etc. Or just typical English dishes, so it can suit anyone's preferred food palette. The one and only flaw I would say is how busy Manchester can be, which can't be helped but it doesn't stop it from making the experience a tad uncomfortable.
