The location is next to Oxford Road, which is very convenient as you can easily get buses into the city centre and to the airport, normally takes around 15 mins bus journey to city centre, 50 mins to the airport.

- Great location, 5 minutes walk away from the university. - Not very sociable as the kitchen/common room is often upstairs. Easy to lock yourself in your room and not speak to anyone! - Great facilities, The Grove (bar) is an excellent place to meet people and has a good vibe - Laundry room, gym etc - Rooms a good size, kitchen facilities great

The main pro of whitworth Park is the location, right opposite all the fast food you could want, and a 5 minutes walk from uni. I once woke up during when I was supposed to be in tutorial and managed to make it to get registered. It's amazing. And the student bar there is great, the most affordable drinks ever, amazing social nights like weekly quizzes and lip sync battles. I made some of my closest friends there and even in my third year I still sneak back there a MINIMUM of once a week with all my friends. The main downside is the rooms, they're tiny and have prison block walls which aren't impossible to make look not depressing. I visited many other people's rooms in different accommodations and mine was definitely the worst. But the kitchen is nice and spacious and the people I shared the flat with I still live with now two years on.

I stayed here as a postgraduate and would highly recommend for postgraduates. Excellent location, only a few minutes walk from main campus. Rooms are basic but that is to be expected for the price, can be quite cold in winter. Social life is not exactly buzzing but there is a nice communal bar with pool and games and cheap drinks that we used regularly.

It is great the property can accommodate a large number of students however, there are too many flat mates in a flat in terms of the number of bathrooms available. There simply should be atleast 4 bathrooms if it is a flat of 9 people.

The interior of Whitworth Park matches it's interior, old but maneagable. It is not too lavish but also not the worst. However getting a place here is like a lucky draw, some will end up with new kitchens and common rooms whilst others are stuck with the old facilities. However the best thing about this accomodation is the location. It is convienently located near supermarkets and a couple of restaurants not to mention the cloesness to the Univerisity. There is also the Grove which is great for socialising as they host many events.

The accommodation facilities are good and worth the price. Although, it's a shared flat but all the flatmates are friendly. The kitchen and bathroom are cleaned twice a week. There is a gym and bar in the accommodation.

Its really close to the city centre which is good, around 20-30 mins walk to the city centre and we have domino, mcdonalds, subway morrisons and sainsbury, the location for whitworth park is probably the best because its situated so close to everything. We also have the accommodation office that helps us with our deliveries and parcels so it doesnt matter if you are not in or not and your parcels will still be delivered and you just have to go to the office to collect it. There are flat parties and we have a bar in the accomodation which you can meet and socialise with other people. Im lucky enough to get a diverse flat with people from different parts of the world but i heard some people werent that fortunate. The kitchen was just renovated so everything was new which was great but the toilets isnt like that. Theres this toilet thats always leaking no matter how many times we complained and they came to fix it. The walls are quite thin so you can hear your neighbors talking. The room are different in sizes and i got the bigger one however it isnt well insulated. Its really cold especially during winter.

Overall, the hall is okay , the location is great , and the place is clean .I love the kitchen in my flat , it s new and modern .I also like my room even if it is pretty small. On the other hand , I don't like that our sinks are leaking since September and the problem didn 't get fixed even if we made some complains .Same thing with one of the toiletes , which is even worse. One of the things I also hate is that the cleanears come early in the morning and they make too much noise and wake us all up.(same about the guy who blows the dead leaves out of the pavement with that machine). The social life is okay , not as great as in Fallowfield for example , but it is okay.I actually like that it is quiet most of the time.

Everything really old. Social life just dead, nothing going on. Mostly international students which a huge Asian community. Language barrier. However location near uni if that's what you like but far from fallowfield. Main problem 8 people, one old flat, one fridge despite being 8. Pros, there's a cleaner that comes twice a week, but only cleans if it's not "too bad". It's the cheapest you may get and it's near uni, the rest is way to basic and maybe you're better off in fallowfield tbh.

Nice location very close to the uni, walking distance, right opposite is dominos, mcdonalds, Morrisons, Sainsbury's etc. The actual accommodation is shared bathroom, self-catered. I live in garstang house and there's no windows in my kitchen which is a problem as it stinks and gets really hot in there when people are cooking. Furthermore, in my bathroom we had an insect problem. Too many flies and ants everywhere. Light in bathroom didn't work and it took them 3 weeks to come and fix it. Whenever I complain about something they fix it really late. Water stopped working one day. No hooks behind shower door so can't hang clothes anywhere. It says our flat is supposed to get cleaned twice a week, however it only gets cleaned once a week so we usually run out of toilet paper and there's mess everywhere. Room is decent size, there's a desk, chair and cupboard with a single bed. My mattress seems to be very old because the springs hurt and poke out, which isn't great for my back. Wifi always disconnects randomly and it's quite slow.

small but cozy room, heater sometimes not warm enough. Wifi also poor sometimes, but still usable. Perfect location ! only 10 mins walk to the campus. And very near to 2 supermarket!

Full of rats in the kitchen. Continued until the rats ate a hole in the walls. Maintenance kept putting rat poison in the kitchen with not much success as they kept coming back.

Location is excellent, probably the best accommodation in terms of location of them all as it is the closest to uni. It has its own gym (Not the best gym but gets the work done) and bar which is quite nice. There are definitely flat parties here and there but the social experience overall would be better in fallowfield. Rooms are not the best either but you can sometimes get lucky and have a decent room.

I mean it's a shared bath and toilet accommodation and depending on the sorts of people you have in your flat it can be good or bad luckily my flat mates a great in terms of keeping this clean but I guess it's all luck. Very close to the uni and everything that goes on no need for bus pass!!! Very cheap rent which means since I didn't get the most student finance I dong have to work to ensure I still have money. While it was my third choice I'm actually happy with it. Only bad thing is that they don't turn on heating till October so the whole of September was horrible and as a result had a two week cold and when the heating is on it's like done in periods of time. Rooms are smalll though but again it's all down to luck

Awful halls of residence! Infested with mice everywhere, silver fish! Feels like a prison! Apart from the negative there is a good bar on site

Great location for uni and city nightlife. Has a bar and a gym which are decent but washing facilities aren't the best as machines often break. Less social that fallowfield halls in my experience. Room was pretty standard for uni halls.

Location is great since it’s directly next to the uni, ideal for 9am lectures. However rooms are cramped at the top of stairs and you have to go downstairs to the kitchen and bathroom, scary if you’re drunk since the floors are all hard linoleum. The hallways are like something straight out the shining and there are no flat patty’s or getting to know your neighbours or anything like that. Just really morbid and boring. Also the kitchen doesn’t have any windows or ventilation. Every who stays here studies really hard and no one wants to go out. However good news is it’s pretty small so washing clothes and stuff is great. There used to be a gym

The location of the accommodation is really good, it is a very easy commune to the university buildings and also to the town centre. However, the accommodation itself has few drawbacks , for example it’s made of red bricks I preassume and therefore becomes unbearably warm during summers. Moreover, you have to share the toilets and it is not always very hygienic and also the heater (radiator) is controlled by the administrators which is not good. And the rooms are a bit too small.

I loved living in Whitworth park! The actual accommodation was not the best in the world, but it was good for that price, close to Uni and provided lots of opportunities for socialising.

Could be more social + less mouldy, but for the price it’s awesome. I love how close to uni it is as well!!!

Brilliant place to live socially. Rooms tend to be basic and cold. However not a bad place for the price! Definitely would recommend however it’s not luxury. It’s do-able

Location and price wise, it's amazing. Next to almost every university building, you dont need to worry about long walks. There's a nice bar, sports facilities, music rooms, and lots of good amenities. The postal services are really good to these halls and the staff are really understanding and easy to communicate with. Only drawback is the rooms don't get much natural light and aren't really glamorous. Depending on who you stay with, your bathroom experience could be anything from great or fine to a bit of a nightmare, but if you communicate well with your roommates there shouldn't be anything too bad. Keep bugspray in the bathroom though as silverfish are a big issue in these older buildings. Not glamorous, but convenient and helpful for an active student that doesn't want to be out of the action but doesn't want the excessive noise of fallowfield student homes.

Not very good accommodation in Whitworth Park, but good location and proximity to the university, convenient to food stores and church
