I occupy a double room which is large and very cozy, I am also on the ground floor so it is very accessible. The flat is very close to the uni (about a 4 minute walk) which means getting to class is very easy therefore you don’t have to wake up early for 9ams and such. It’s also very close to town (a 20 minute walk to Piccadilly station) and the same to the Arndale meaning the busy hub of Manchester is right on your doorstep.

If you are looking for a social halls then I would look living elsewhere such as Cambridge. The three other students who I lived with, were not exactly sociable or keen on going out, so could become a bit lonely. Although I did make friends with students in flats below and would often go round to their flat. The location of the halls are excellent as it’s only a 5 minute walk to most of the university buildings.

Liberty central was a really nice modern accommodation, not quite as social as some of the others so better for someone who wants less of a noisy party flat. Really nice big bedrooms and nice kitchens, mine had a great view. Not far from uni or from town.

When I applied for liberty central I found the process to be easy. After moving here, on the first day I was told I would be moving flats just 2 months later as they were refurbishing. I wasn't told about this before booking or I would have chosen another block that wasn't being refurbished. Now that we've moved in, our fridge and freezer didn't work for the first weekend so we had to live between flats and our toilets are now broken. Apart from that the accommodation is located in a good place-I can leave 5 minutes before my lecture and arrive on time-and the rooms are spacious and furnished well for student accommodation.

This accommodation is on a main busy road so you are constantly disturbed and woken up by sirens/traffic noise, and people walking past your window shouting and screaming when they are drunk and are going/coming back from a nightout. The walls are thin and echo so you can hear doors slam loudly, people entering the flat on the ground floor and people talking loudly even if your on the top floor i hate it. You have to walk all the way up the road to do your laundry and throw away rubbish which is annoying and ridiculous. They lied claiming to have onsite laundry facilities it is not onsite!! The room size is ok but not worth £127.50 The internet is not the best but is ok most of the time. Only good thing is that with this accommodation you get an ensuite and only have to live with 3 people. Its close to uni, shops, city centre, food places,a doctors surgery and pharmacy. Otherwise i would not reccomend it to anyone

Liberty Central accomodation was ok. Good sized flats, rooms and bathrooms. However many problems with overall living experience. Constant building work and contracters (some builders were also extremly loud and had no respect for the fact that we actually lived there playing loud music in our flat hallway and leaving our front door open all day letting anyone in and leaving our flat unsafe) throughout the year in and around flat. Very disturbing for studying therefore we had to go out to the library many days to work as the building was so loud which is unacceptable when this should be a place to live and study in. There were also many times things didnt work or broke. In my flat we had 2 days of no electricity over the whole flat so we couldnt shower or cook and the freezer defrosted, after the electricity was finally fixed and they had to replace the hob we didnt get a new one for about 5 days which was appauling. We also had multiple days with no wifi! Overall liberty central is not good value for money. £127.50 a week is insane for what we get! Would not recommend staying here.

You will constantly have workmen in your flat drilling through the walls and clattering around from around 9am. This would be understandable if anything worked, the WiFi is down a lot too. Onto the good things, the location is perfect as everything is within walking distance. The staff at Liberty Central are lovely and always happy to help too.

Room is basic but good, with decent quality ensuite. Walls not very thick though. However the overall hall itself is alright.
