My bedroom itself is alright if you ignore the fact that the heating is awful and I have a tiny single bed. People are constantly blaring loud music, being loud with their friends, shouting at their Xbox, etc. All hours and most of the security guards don’t do anything, despite the rules being no speakers allowed and no loud noises between 11pm and 8am. My flatmates are rude and extremely messy, I now have a mini fridge and my own bin in my room as I don’t want to share with them. The hob is covered in food and therefore smokes up if turned on, which is the only option other than the oven as we have no microwave. The kitchen is also tiny, nowhere near big enough for 4 people. The walls are paper thin so everything can be heard through them.

The window let's a lot of the heat out of my room so I gets fairly cold sometimes. Other than that it's a nice place to be

Daisy Bank is not bad at all! It's situated a lot further away from thr uni/city centre than other halls but that's compensated by the uni - they give you a free student stage coach bus pass that usually cost £250. Though it's far from town, it's far from antisocial - how many friends you make is up to the effort you put in! The rooms themselves aren't too big but that's okay considering you have your own an suite bathroom and only 3 other people to share a kitchen with in your flat! As for the facilities, sometimes, things will break but the maintenance team will sort stuff out, and the reception team is a nice bunch of people :) my only real complaint is how much the washing machines cost to operate (cheapest £3.10) - not ideal for that student life

Decent sized flats and close to amenities, but a little out of the way for everything else. Perks: free bus pass.

Daisy bank is the only man met accommodation which is no where near the uni, it is at least a 30 min walk from the uni, however you do get a free bus pass. The washing machines and dryers are expensive to use per wash and often break, therefore there is sometimes only a couple of washing machines available for the many students who live at daisy bank. The social experience is dead as it is so far out and there were never many times students living there were willing to mingle with each other. The room you get is good, apart from the common occurrence of silver fish in your bathroom or damp in the bedroom it’s not too bad, whenever there is a problem maintenance fix it as soon as possible. The staff who work there are very friendly and I have never experienced any issues with them. The WiFi went down quite often which is frustrating but I believe this is the same problem most student halls have, therefore daisy bank isn’t entirely to blame. Despite some of the downsides, I am surprised by how much I have enjoyed living at daisy bank considering the awful reviews I read before I moved in.

The location is the only good thing about this accommodation there are no facilities and most of the things claimed students will have if you choose this accommodation are. We didn’t have a kitchen bin for the first few months despite asking for one multiple times there was a giant hole in the bathroom wall upon arrival which again took multiple months to get fixed are off and stopped working for weeks causing all of all food to go out of date By the time it was fixed I could go on save yourself the money pick somewhere else

Daisy Bank is a value for money hall. Costing about £109 a week the cheapest of mmu halls. Your room comes with an en-suite & single bed. It is particularly a medium sized room compared to the other halls I’ve seen. Only downfall is it is not on campus, it’s a 7 minute bus journey away meaning you can’t just roll out of bed to go, but it’s alright because you get a bus pass for stagecoach which you can use to go anywhere. Socially daisy bank is boring I would suggest going to as many flat parties as possible to make friends. The living space is alright and maintenance keep on top of repairs. You will need to buy a microwave for the kitchen as a flat. And if you want to use the communal areas often bring a tv for the living room and a fire stick, board games, a games console or all three.

The kitchen is very small and you can hardly cook in there. The bedrooms are nice and decent in size though as well as the ensuite showers.

Great area and very safe place to live in. Staff and residential advisors are all really friendly. The bedrooms and kitchens are so homely.

Kitchen and room are well-kept and big. Maintenance team are prompt. Further away than most other MMU accommodations but you receive a free bus pass to use. Close to grocery shops.
