overall it is a older hall than the others. There are many bike thefts and is situated in a not as safe neighbourhood. However, it is between fallowfield and the city so it is great for people who take hikes as the distance is about the same to school or fallowfield

Canterbury Court has a good location and some reasonably sized rooms. On the downside, it doesn't have other facilities and the socials are minimal. The only few people that I got to know after one year of accommodation were from my own buildng (Pankhurst). Overall, the hall is quite dead and overpriced

Canterbury court is an en-suite un-catered hall a 20 minute walk from the main university campus so you don't have to spend the £235 on an annual unirider pass. Compared to a lot of the other Uni of Manchester rooms, the bedrooms are quite spacious. one negative would be small common rooms with waiting-room -esque chairs and kitchens with lack of storage space, however this depends on your block within Canterbury Court, as while Pankhurst blocks kitchens are very small, Burgess has larger kitchens. Canterbury Court is quite a quiet hall compared to most others and the bar is shared with St. Anselm hall and so is quite cramped as it's underground.

my room was next to the common room which meant I got basically no sleep at all. the location was a nice quiet walk away from uni which was nice.

Great sized rooms compared to other halls, bit annoying how you can't use your hairdryer for more than a minute without power cutting out. Nice quiet location but bit dodge at night but nothing dangerous happens just not much street lighting. The all boys hall across the road are nice but not very social and seeing as socials are mixed can be quite odd.

It's located about 20-30minutes away from uni by walking. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to any supermarket chain, so it's inconvenient to buy groceries. Quiet and relatively safe. Good for those who like peace. For the price, the quality of the room is not up to standard, but you get a decent-sized ensuite bathroom. A little rundown, and the rooms are not soundproof so if you're a light sleeper you might get woken up by your flatmates' alarms in the morning!

The rooms are all a nice size and furnished well with a single bed, wardrobe, large desk with a chair and drawer, and shelves. The ensuite is very convenient. The kitchens are ok but for 10 people can be a small space. The flat’s common area is spacious but can get cold in the winter. It’s a 20-25 minute walk to uni and there’s also multiple bus routes that can be taken. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from the curry mile which is a great place. There’s a common area for the accommodation with a small bar, PS4 and pool table. The wifi is temperamental though, it sometimes cuts out and you have to reconnect.

Good room size however not as modern as other universities. Only way I have made it feel homely is decorating. Carpets are old however the block I'm living in, Pankhurst, has cubicles for showers. The accommodation bar is lively and has regular events with good people!

It's a quite nice place if you don't want to be bothered by noise and constant partying. It is a bit expensive considering the facilities available but overall it's a nice place.

Support staff at halls were poor. Not great socially as a little quiet but if in with good people ok

Halls were ok, made some good friends so made everything fine. Rooms good because of own bathroom and big desk area. Could do with more storage in kitchen - had my own cupboard but only half a shelf in the fridge and the freezer. Also, all the flats have ten rooms, which means that ten people share one sink, one fridge, one freezer, two ovens and two hobs. The kitchen is small with not a lot of space to prep if a few people are cooking at the same time, but the adjacent common room was plenty big enough. Location is good in terms of University as it's only a 20 minute walk to uni place - so 15 to the Student Union. It is off the main bus route though, but there is a bus stop right outside the halls and for the main buses to town it's only a 5 minute walk to Curry Mile. In terms of social life this is a quiet area and there aren't many shops close to the halls, the bar in the attached hall is the cheapest bar in manchester which is good, and freshers was good, but after a while it does get quiet. If social side is your priority then Fallowfield is definitely the place to be, I put en suite as my priority and although the halls could definitely be improved I had a good first year. They are also very expensive for what you get.
