Rutherford

A great hall, wasn't my initial choice but after moving in and making such great friend's with the people in my block, it really grew on me. Catered can be slightly inconvenient and expensive however, and you're paying for meals even if you do not go to most of them. And halls are not equipped with very good kitchens, therefore cooking is extremely hard.

Rutherford really feels like a family. The hall is not the classiest of halls with others having bigger rooms and bigger kitchens but the atmosphere is truly one of a kind. It's easy to make a large number of great friends here. As stated earlier rooms are not big but they are definitely enough. The single beds are a slight disappointment but for a budget room it's expected. The rooms are cleaned to a good level fortnightly. The only downside is occasionally the catered food is not enjoyable.

Very standard rooms, ranging from shared bathroom to ensuite. I had a shared ensuite, meaning I shared with one other person. Quite expensive compared to other unis, but definitely worth it for the food and the social experience. Very good central location on campus, 7 minute walk to lectures and the library, 1 minute away from campus shop, 10 minutes from student's union.

The location is perfect, within ten minutes of all my lectures and less than two minutes from a pizzeria and a corner shop. All necessary facilities are available, although an oven would be helpful too. My room is much larger than I expected, amazing value for the price and plenty of space for all my work and social needs.

Such a good location for getting to and from lectures, also a great distance from the student's union. I felt like I was a part of one big family and everyone I lived with has become a life long friend. However, the canteen food could have been a lot nicer and my only revision would be to maybe choose a self-catered hall next time!
