London has always been the place to be ad is unrevivled in the rest of the UK for music, art, food, culture and just general living. However you've got to pay the price for it and it can soon become a financial void on your loan

Excellent location. Right at the heart of the city and within 1 min of oxford st station. If you love shopping you will love the location. Easy to travel to from any part of the city but the trains are always packed

London is one of the most wonderful cities in the world. It has excellent transportation throughout the city itself and links all over the uk. It is an extremely international city with restaurants that represent all nationalities. Great entertainment, diversity, history and museuams with free access.

Nice places to eat in stratford. expensive though. If you ain't got the p's, got KHF in Stepney green. Hella cheap. Go karting near mile end park, couple pool rooms to go near Stepney green and bowling in Stratford shopping centre.

Being a postgrad student in London is pretty different to being an undergrad student. It changes from clubbing to more civilised drinks. There are great bars around London, whether you want a chilled night, live music, more of a club atmosphere or weird and wonderful cocktails. There are plenty of shops nearby of course and you're never too far from the buzz even if your campus isn't in central London!

Beckton is okay, there's an Asda and lidls about 8 -10 minutes away, but the nightlife is extremely poor. We have the student union bar , but it is absolutely shocking, drinks Taste like they don't have any alcohol in, the music is shockingly bad, no variety at all. Doesn't cost too much to get into central which is all sound for a night out.

Amazing things to do in the city, many events occurring through out the year around London. Shopping here is great, you've got 2 Westfields, Brent Cross, Oxford Street and many more. There is a large variety of food on offer from all different countries, there are many good cheap eats around London however there are also very expensive restaurants. It's the best of both worlds living in London.

The university was located in a great location across Hyde Park in South Kensington. Despite there being a lot of tourists which could make it really busy at times, the museums and shops were really close by.

Great city, lots of things to do. Good places to eat, at cheap prices. Good theatres and entertainment.

Being in the centre of London is THE most incredible experience ever. London has anything you could possibly wish for. My favourite London Tap Jam, a monthly night of improvised tap!

Great city! Big shopping centre where you can find everything you need, lots of student-friendly places to eat and, of course, brilliant nights out!

Transport in East London is great, it runs till late with the overground, underground, buses and taxi’s all easily available. Westfield shopping Center is right next to the station providing easy access to shopping facilities and places to eat. In terms of night life, there’s a few pubs, some fairly cheap and some clubs and bar within a short distance. Overall, though it’s an expensive place to be, it does have a lot for it.

A prime location. You get pretty much everything, shopping centres, bars, pubs, clubs, recreational centres, and so on alongside meeting all sorts of people

The location of Queen Mary is incredible, as it is in the vibrant and up and coming part of East London. It is extremely close to central by being located on the central line in zone 2 and is near to the best night life areas including shoreditch and soho. There are also loads of cheap events and free things to do and a lot of sights to see!

London boasts the best nightlife of any place I've ever lived in or been to. Whether you fancy going to the pub/a bar/a club, you can guarantee that London won't leave you disappointed. Food here is great - again, there is essentially an unlimited selection of restaurants to choose from if you fancy eating out. Supermarkets are always in close proximity, however most of them are small due to being located centrally so the choice can sometimes be limited (not really an issue). Shopping for anything else is easy, whether it be for clothes, university resources, things for the house etc... - all you need to do is head towards zone 1. London, albeit expensive, is good value for money in my opinion. I appreciate that there are other places in the UK where you are able to get that city experience for less, but for me it's a case of you get what you pay for. I personally feel that it's a shame that many students overlook London because they've heard it's too expensive or doesn't allow for a good student experience.

London is amazing for students. There’s so much to do that’s free, the nights out are so student friendly. The only issue is the expense of living here. But if you’re savvy, you can definitely have fun in the capital. Getting student discount on travel helps but it is quite lonely if you’re not on a campus uni set up.

Lots to do and so easy to get around quivkly on the tubes. Loads of theatres for shows and always restaurants near. Only downside is london is so expensive, but other than that its fab!

London in general is an amazing city if you have the time, means and mental capacity to fully utilise it! For me, the experience doesn't always outweigh the cost of living, and that's something all undergraduates should really take into account. London itself can be quite an isolating city, just because it's so big and bustling, but it's also a goldmine of fun and opportunity!

London is a multicultural hub. There are many different cultures, languages and for many - more job opportunities. With a vast range of eateries and night experiences there is something for everyone. Ranging from edgy Camden to Hipster Shoreditch to upscale Mayfair and Chelsea. Transport links are generally reliable in central London with night tube on Friday & Saturday evenings for most of central London.

Nights out can be good especially in local pubs near me university which are a lot cheaper then other bars, you can find a verity of food everywhere you go and shopping for all types of people on many many streets and corners. You can go to parks for nice picnics and visit free attractions like local events and museums and you can see amazing live film showings at most parks on the weekend great fun for you and your friends.
