Station is a 10 minute walk to the university, many train links to central London. Brent cross shopping centre is near for entertainment, shopping and food and not too far from Canden for a good night out.

There’s so much to do in London. Even though I’ve lived here all my life, it’s really exciting when you go to places in central London. There’s so many shopping centres and there are many restaurants omg! Literally you can go out and not be bored or hungry there’s a food shop in every corner

Amazing nightlife, good food scene and generally clean. To improve: safety in certain areas, peak hours on transports

London is a paradise for all theatre-goers, nightlife-lovers, canal-walkers, art-junkies, foodies and in general anyone who appreciates the beautiful, the historical and the cultural - and that is a well-known fact. The biggest drawbacks of London are: 1) the cost of living - whatever you earn, you spend 2) the life-work balance - you are expected to be available online off the clock (all work, no play) 3) housing - accommodation standards can be very poor indeed: box rooms without windows are not hard to spot on Gumtree, rental agencies can let weeks go by before repairing a broken boiler, rat and/or bedbug infestations do occur in London's many flats - flats, incidentally, which can only be purchased via leasehold, not via freehold - a very British anomaly) Like all major metropolises, London is a city that can be enjoyed if you have a stable, high-paying job that leaves you the time off you need to pop down the V&A on weekends. If you are trapped in a minimum-wage job, have to work double shifts to make ends meet and live in zone 4, ten-miles away from the nearest attraction, then you might as well live in Coventry.

Everything you could ever need is right on your doorstep and never far away. Such a diverse place to live, very busy and life is always hectic. Beautiful but exceedingly expensive!

Absolutely buzzing with life even at night. Especially in Central. Transport is great and cheap. No shortage of shops or places out to eat. Can be a bit expensive though.

London is a fantastic city . Easily the most multicultural city in the world . So many different sights , cultures & things to do . There are many landmarks in London and they have a great history to it. However, the city is polluted.

Food is quite expensive, but there isn't any city like London for various reasons. You'll learn to love it and dislike bits of it slightly - but it's easy to avoid mostly!

The food is the best thing in my opinion about London, there’s a large variety of different cuisines, shopping is easy to do because of the number of malls and shopping areas. The commute around London is very easy to do, with great transport links making it easy to get from one place to another. The only negative is the area can be pricey for students

Expensive but hard to get bored in London if you have the money. Good travel links but always busy! Spoiled for options for nights out but again pretty expensive unless you get to know the good places for happy hours around each neighbourhood. Soho and Chinatown is a must if you’re a foodie.

In London there are lots of things to do. During the day, you have quaint, yet affordable coffee shops with friendly staff. In addition to this if you don't like sitting down, you can venture into one of the many parks or try an escape room. Or if you like sonething a little bit more fancy you can dine at the top of the shard or sky garden; which takes dining with a view to another level. The food in London is also quite nice: you do have to know where to go though because London is so big choice is too however that doesn't mean everywhere is great. However the value for money is there.

Since day 1 I knew London was going to be the city of entertainment. From a ridiculous amount of art galleries, to hundreds of gigs a week and extensive program at the theatre. As a student it is best to make use of all the discount we get. Go out there and let London culture absorb you. Probably my favourite venue for music venue is the O2 in Brixton, it is a small and intimate space but if you are looking for something cheaper check out the lantern society. Charity shopping at Oxfam and crisis are ideal for students. Find Zara for £5 and save up for the fun stuff! There is such a great variety for food. You'll find any type of cuisine. If you are veggie or vegan head to archway to the loving hut for a £6 all you can eat lunch. I guess the only negative aspect of London is that it can get very lonely for the amount of people who live there.

Pretty good, lots of stuff to do but can be expensive so might need to have some quiet nights in, luckily there's lots of great delivery places. The clubs are alright but play the same music but if you're into that then don't worry. There's a lack of greenery and nature but that's expected, although there's some nice parks if you want that
