Harrow Hall

47th in London

Coming from Canada, I was anticipating Harrow to be much closer to central London than it actually is. That’s one of the major drawbacks of the residence. The highlight lows were not having hot water in our bathrooms for 8 days straight at the end of last year, and the same situation occurring in February of this year for much less time. You also begin to appreciate the non-plastic consistency of your bed at home and the unclogged bathroom sinks and showers. You pay a LOT more than what you get.

If excitement is what you’re looking for- Harrow halls isn’t the place to be. Go and stay at raffles where everyone goes to raves and they get the joy of the night tube. Harrow is where students come to be depressed and moan about their lectures. 2 stars because messy Mondays was good for meeting people in the first week.

Very expensive prices for what the halls offer. One kitchen has to be shared with other 8 or 10 people and, despite being usually very large, it does not look nice and it often very messy because of the amount of people using it on a daily basis. The rooms are ok but quite small for the price offered to students. Students book halls because they do not know where and how to find a room in London and sometimes do not even check other prices.
