Liverpool is a really nice city. The people are really friendly and it's easy to get around. Also hanging about the docks and the river is wonderful after a long day. It definitely lives up to being one of the best places in the UK for nightlife. The only think that could be better is the amount of places to eat and the lack of variety compared to places like Manchester where you can easily get a Turkish, Indian and Chinese etc. restaurant/takeway on every other street other than that its a lovely city and I would recommend it to people who want to live in a city that's big but tight knit.

Great city great people, the longer you’re here the better it gets. Go out and talk to the locals, work in a bar, the more you become involved in the city the more fun you’ll have! Also make sure you get out of the student areas the city is so much better than concert square and Barbaa, find places like camp and furnace, 24 kitchen street and constellations

The location of my uni is in the middle of the city centre - handy for shopping, getting lunch, and nights out! Shops near the uni are all fairly cheap, which is good for students.

I am located in the perfect place to do all the things I could possibly need. Shops and clubs close by but to also beautiful culture at the docks. I also love the art galleries in Liverpool!!

Very welcoming environment! As an international student from a small American town, I felt very comfortable and accepted. It is a city with a small town feel!

Probably one of the most ideal places for students to stay and study!! Not only are it’s universities well respected but LJMU and Uni of Liverpool are perfectly placed right in the heart of the city centre with accommodation expanding at an ever growing rate!! Nightlife here is amazing, there is literally a club or bar for every person, every type of music etc. There are plenty of friendly people here too! Super helpful and always ready to chat you really can’t fault the people of liverpool, they really are the best!! Everything you need and more:)

Go to Albert Fock and Pier Head during the day and at night. They give you different feelings when visited at diff times. Try out the wheel at Albert Dock to have a full glance of Liverpool and Birkenhead. Lots of brands, shopping is good. The city is around 20 mins walk from the uni of liverpoil

I chose Liverpool for my city of further education because I had visited the city before and it was a lively, busy area which wasnt too big. Making it an ideal place for a student. It has all the essentials and more, with great shopping, clubs, even an upcoming area for the edgey crowd. There is always something new to do.

Amazing independent restaurants. Good rave scene. Lots of student offers. Liverpool one is a big shopping centre with lots of chains but bold street has the best charity shops and food places. Accommodation is cheap.

Bars and cafes in town are lit. Clubs, in my opinion, inc the famous LEVELS club are so so. L1 offers a lot of brands and most provides student discount. Just download Unidays apps. Groceries are cheapest at Home Bargains and Lidl.

I absolutely love Liverpool- having never been here before uni, I now want to live here once I finish. The night life is incredible, a place for absolutely every taste and places open every night. The events are always fun and different and exciting, I always look forward to the events in town. There is great shopping here- Bold Street especially I love! And there are so many food places here- I've been here two years and still have so many places to go to! Overall, I love Liverpool!

Liverpool is a lovely friendly place. It’s a city so you have plenty of good food options great shopping right by university. As well as having the docks and stunning buildings that make it a beautiful place to be. Up north you tend to get more value for money and this has been emphasised to me regarding Liverpool by London born students. Not necessarily the best night out in England but there’s plenty of options for every body and plenty of well priced student nights every day of the week.

Really unique city that is perfect for student living. It's relatively cheap (good student accomodation can be found for as little as £75 pw depending on how far out you're willing to live). As a result it is quite easy to live in the city centre where there are a range of activities you can do, such as yoga, salsa, sightseeing and cultural activities (Liverpool is known as the capital of culture and has many good museums) or even drinking. It has a good nightlife for all ages and the locals are very friendly and are well known for their love of going out. Seel street is a road filled with bars and clubs (many of which are free to get into and offer free shots). For foodies there are also lots of good and reasonably priced restaurants, cafes and bars to try.

A fantastic university overall. Great transport links to and from university. The city centre is amazing with an amazing shopping centre such as Liverpool One. Amazing food all over the city. Would definitely recommend and definitely would come back.

The university isn't too close to the city centre, but also not too far to walk there. There is a huge variety of shops, especially clothing and fast food places/ restaurants. It isn't far from the docks which is a good place to go and chill on a day off, and there is a cinema in Liverpool One. There is also no shortage of parks.

An amazing city with so much to do! Concert square is a classic for student nights out, while locals rather head to Matthew Street. Liverpool one offers loads of high street shops, and bold street has lots of vintage cloths shops and different types of cuisine. All the unis are located near the centre, or just a short walk away. It’s easy to get around as there are loads of arriva and stagecoach busses.

One of the best city’s!! Not too small but also not too big, everyone is friendly (most of the time) and no matter where you go you can always guarantee you will get chatting to people! The nights out are so versatile from house music to hip hop and because there are so many universities everything is super cheap! There are the classic restaurant chains but also a selection of small and unique restaurants which are reasonably priced! I couldn’t imagine myself living anywhere else.
