Great way to meet people RA help is really beneficial for all and the chocolate bar each month! Quite far away from the uni and the bus pass is quite expensive - uni should give free passes.

Absolutely fantastic loved the life there 10/10 would do it again, the social areas allowed for great activities such as pool and table football. It was in a great location to get to the gym and great location to socialise with other people

Meadow Court in Digby Hall is the best, most sociable halls in the Oadby Student Village. Flats contain 4-7 people, so you really do get to know your flatmates and form friendships. Every flat has 2 bathrooms and I have never experienced needing the bathroom when they have both been occupied. The U shape of the blocks makes it feel more sociable as you can see everyone who leaves and comes in leading to familiarity and people start to look out for each other through this. Parties in the Digby House social area, especially during freshers’ week, helped friendships be formed and allowed us to get to know each other. Digby Hall is the closest acommodation to ASDA (5minute walk) which is convienent when doing a larger food shop. We also have to 80A bus stop right outside the accommodation and the 31A is not to far either. This is so convenient as buses come every 20minutes so the more accessible the bus stop, the less likely you will miss it. However, we are the furthest from the reception and Village Hub. The cleaners thoroughly clean the bathrooms and keep the interior of the block really clean. They are also really nice and helpful if you need advise on how to clean something. Unlike most accommodations, Digby Hall provides 3/4 beds and a washbasin. The beds are reasonably comfortable and soft. The washbasin was really useful as it meant you spent less time in the bathroom and the water was drinkable filtered water. The rooms are spacious and have a decent amount storage. The kitchen and the social space was quite roomy and never felt overcrowded. The only downside to this accommodation is that we had consistent problems with heating and hot water throughout the year but due to this we had discounted rent and temporary heaters in place. Digby Hall has been the best foundation in my University experience. The social aspect has helped me not only be close friends with my flatmates but make good friends on my course and get to know them better. I would 100% recommend Digby Hall for the best first year experience.

The social life is great bfor cause everyone knows each other here. It is located in the student village which is also very social. The facilities were ok but sometimes needed maintanences attention because the buildings are quite old. The flat sizes went from 4-7 so there is a lot of space too.

Made amazing friends who I'm living with next year. Social areas are good. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Not too many people sharing the bathrooms. Kitchen is a good size with modern appliances.

Loved living in this accommodation, really sociable and great to socialise and meet people. It is decorated well and has 3/4 beds instead of a single. Rooms have loads of storing space and a good size. Sharing a bathroom was fine never had to wait to shower/use rhe toilet. Highly recommend, Digby is closer to asda and uni but Oadby itself is 15 mins from uni.

40 minute walk away from university, alternative is a bus that costs £4K a year bus pass which is always late and over crowded. Old buildings always in need of maintenance, however staff respond quickly for the most part. Good sense of community though.

Good sized rooms. Warm. Bathrooms cleaned once a week. Furthest from village hub, but not a long walk. Bus stop is last so often not picked up. Tv rooms and pool table in main digby building - always open. Maintenance very fast to fix problems. Burglary target.

Great facilities although quite expensive for a shared bathroom. Overall very lovely to be living in the student village but there is the same problem of all halls in Oadby that it is a fair distance from uni.

I LOVED Digby! Me and my friends there all thought it was the best one in the student village and I'm so glad I was placed there! Great for socialising and especially in the summer as we could sit out on the grass. The rooms were great as they had three quarter beds and a sink and loads of room! Loved living there and was very sad to leave!

Layout makes the environment social, great location, decent rooms and facilities, close to ASDA, shared facilities but have found no issues - great economic option (not cheap but not too expensive)
