Good location - 15 min walk into uni or city centre. Rooms decent size considering its student accommodation. Common room available but rarely used. Shame you don't get free laundry washes like other Leeds uni halls.

Social experience , flat mates nice but walls very undsoundoroof therefore every time my flatmate has her friends round was loud . The actual room I had was shocking , heating didn’t work properly, dark and very tatty . Came back from Christmas holidays room had had a mysterious leak . Some staff helpful overall but never really felt welcome there . Resulted in a room transfer now now at concept place which is owned by unite students but is far better .

The rooms are quite nice and so is the kitchen. Maintenance is speedy and reception staff are friendly. However far too expensive for how far you are from uni and no social events.

Although the tannery was not on campus, it was only a 10 minute walk from where I needed to be and so was a handy location. The rooms were a very good size, considerably larger than many other rooms that I’d seen in other accommodations. The fact that all rooms were on suite was ideal and very beneficial.

The location is good close to city and uni, facilities are good but not amazing e.g. not enough washers and dryers for clothes, no tv in kitchen. The social experience is not the best but the rooms are nice.

Overall the accommodation is nice, tidy and initially quite social. The rooms are big and spacious although the shower itself isn’t up to scratch although it has pressure which is amazing. One thing I will mention is that they have good social spaces such as the common room, which people definitely take advantage of. I will say however some of the issues with accommodation could be dealt with quicker but in general the staff are nice. Definitely suggest this if you just want a nice room ect which is close to uni and town. It is quite expensive and that seems to be the only issue.

The location is good 10 min walk to uni however felt quite out of the student area which is more toward Hyde park. The rooms were good very spacious and double bed. The social experience wansnt good should maybe be more common areas and events organised to mingle with other residents.

Great halls for first year students, comfy, feel very homely. Abit outdated and old fashioned but they're all like that.

Overall good accommodation. Decent security, with fobs needed to access the different blocks. Friendly and helpful staff on site Good area for socialising with pool table and frequent pizza nights

Have been really impressed with the Tannery. Didn't apply for it initially and ended up here because my first choice accommodation was rejected. But have seen other accommodations such as Sentinel Towers and Leodis Residences and out of all three I'm so happy I ended up here. It's social, very homely and the Nisa shop on the ground floor is a godsend! Couldn't have asked for a better accommodation first year.

Good sized rooms and nice to have an en-suite. Location is close to uni however up-hill walk all the way there which often felt like it took forever. Good washing/drying facilities. Nice to have an on site shop, however this was sometimes expensive for certain items.

My room was massive and really nice!! However my shower was broken and I had to wait 2 weeks for them to fix it. At least it was an ice breaker me knocking on my flatmates doors to use their showers! Overall fab experience miss it tremendously

Overall the halls were well maintained. Flats were of 5 people with all bedrooms en suite. Maintanence issues were dealt with quickly.

The location is great. There are a bunch of eateries and grocery store nearby and the city centre is only a 20-minutes walk away.

Good location 10 mins from uni. Washing facilities were a little small and half of them were broken most of the time. Rooms had plenty of space for a Uni residence and we’re all pretty equal size. Kitchen could have been slightly bigger as there was not much space for 5 people to cook and eat, however it worked ok for us as we were nurses working different shifts. Common room was nice with a big tv and pool tables which is good if that’s your kind of thing.

The Tannery seems like it's going to be unsocial but will surprise you. I found it to be a perfect combination of pretty social but not so much so that there's noise all the time. With a brisk 10/15 minute walk to uni and being close to town it also has a decent location. The main issue I had was the price. For what you pay, the rooms and bathrooms could be nicer and internet faster. Also it's not like you're living right next to uni. There are pros and cons to all accommodations. Depends what your priorities are. If you prefer very social but don't mind distance, go for Lupton.

The location is fairly central, equidistant from the uni and city centre and surrounded by lots of other accommodations. The maintenance problems are addressed quickly, but the issues often come back due to the nature of the facilities.

Really good location for healthcare students I.e. close to LGI Also close to town which made life very easy!! Personally thought it was sociable enough-liked everyone-quite loud all the time though so quite hard to study there. Room was very small however had a 3/4 bed and ensure which made life easy.

I love living at the Tannery. The rooms are pretty spacious with loads of storage and a good size desk for working. The bathrooms are small but do the job and the kitchens are big with a seating area which makes the flat a lot more social. There’s lots of jobs and fridges. The walk to uni is 15-25 mins depending on where on campus you’re going. The only problem is there is a massive hill and 5 flights of stairs so you deffinately keep fit! Socially the halls are good, everyone knows each other and have pres and parties pretty often. There is occasionally social events but this is quite rare if I’m honest. The WiFi is okay but can be slow at peak times, often videos buffer or won’t load kind of thing. There is a common room and courtyard which is good for socialising. Also plenty of washers and dryers though they are quite expensive. Safe, clean and quiet. Overall, it’s a pretty good social halls and good value for money.

Everything in the kitchen doesn’t work or is broken. Reception closes half way through the day without any notice, so if you have a delivery coming it doesn’t get delivered. Block B doesn’t have a very good social experience like blocks a and c do

Great halls, equal distance from town, the train station and uni. However, think it all comes down to luck of who you get as flat mates, but isn’t this the case for every halls?

Original room had a flood due to broken 2ater boiler, but great receptionist (?) have helped in everyway and am now happily relocated to another block. Top floor makes weird noises when windy due to the wires for maintenance outside but otherwise all good! Maintenance requests also get solved extremely quickly too. Would recommend 8/10

Good location, fairly close to campus but good amenities near by. Good facilities, on suite is nice, rooms a bit small though. Made good friends with the people in my flat and floor and social events were always great. Overall compared to other halls I think the tannery is a good choice, fairly decent price for location. Would've liked a tv though. Cleaner was semi decent.
