Lupton had great outdoor spaces with very large grassy areas and benches (as well as a fire pit for bonfires or a bbq). Kitchens were small and so were the bedrooms. But the place has a very good vibe to it and it’s very safe because the doors and gates are unlocked using fob keys. Was quite a long walk to uni. But overall was decent because it was fairly cheap.

Lupton Residence’s is a very social hall with around 600 people. There is very limited social space, but this doesn’t prevent a good social experience. It’s quite a trek from the uni, but there are frequent buses taking you straight there. Bbq spaces outside are v nice in the spring/summer as well.

Lupton residences is cheap for those that want to save money, however it is off-campus and a 30 minute walk to uni. Despite this it is based in a nice area (headingley) with lots of pubs/resteraunts/shops nearby. Lupton is quite a social halls however there is a lack of social space (no common room / lounge just a bedroom and kitchen which is quite uncomfortable to socialise in). The room size is quite large with lots of storage space but a single bed, large desk, big windows. The internet is quite fast speed.

Sufficient, close to headingley area, next to a massive sainsburys and in proximity of a lot of small pubs and restaurants. Family friendly

Good facilities for the cheap price! ( I think the cheapest halls of residence). Headingley is a nice area but about a 40 min walk to uni - so worth getting a bus pass for going in and out!

Pretty decent accommodation, about 30 mins on foot to uni. Worst thing would be the insulation of the windows. Great place for meeting new people, very social and cheaper compared to the other halls.

Location: in Headingley, which is great fun, lots of places to eat and drink, can do shopping at Sainsburys just around the corner and so good that there's a Wilkos and Superdrug next to Sainsburys, so very easy to get stuff. BUT about 40 minute walk to uni at a normal pace and about 20 minute walk to the next big halls, which is James Baillie. I got a bus pass so I just got the bus in every day, but it is quite expensive. Faculties: has everything that would need with a laundry room at reception which is easy to get to. Also people who run it really good at getting people in if there are any problems with ovens, heating, etc. BUT rooms and kitchens all quite small and sharing bathroom between 5 people was a bit of a struggle when all had similar timetables. Social Experience: Really big mixture of people staying here because such a big halls, and everyone in blocks so really easy to get to know everyone from your own block, bit harder to mingle with those in other blocks.

The best people, as there is no common room/big kitchens it is very communal spirit. Nobody picks Lupton but ends up loving it.

Altho slightly further out from the uni this halls is in the centre of Headingley close to lots of pubs and shops. The most sociable halls and great value.

It was a really social halls of accommodation, you got to meet a lot of people. However there was no communal area so that definitely hindered it a lot. In terms of distance from the University it was approximately a 30-40 minute walk, though the bus was around 10 minutes and they are really regular. There are also shops nearby, a sainsbury's is around a 2 minute walk away.

Lipton was not a nice place to live. Dirty dirty halls with disgusting people playing their loud music all the time. The wardens were unhelpful. The laundry service was expensive. Also it was really far from uni so I had to walk.

Lupton provided both cheap and free events to meet other students which really helped the process of moving away from home and from family and friends. Headingley is an ideal student area with plenty of shops and pubs around.

Lupton was great socially, I met my friends for life there. Going out and going to the shops was okay as there's a Sainsbury's and a bus stop at your doorstep. However, going into uni everyday was quite long, it took 40mins to walk and the bus was quite pricey if you were getting it twice or more per day. There was no social area and the committee only organised one event which I thought was strange as we pay them with our rent to organise socials. The rooms had a massive desk to work on and a nice single bed but my particular room had some silverfish in which I wasn't happy about. No one else that I knew had this problem though and it was fixed immediately when I asked. We also got free credit to use the washing machines and dryers... I still have some credit left on mine. For the price and social aspects it was a great place to live.

The location was very good in Headingley surrounded by bars and shops. However the facilities were poor, a lack of living space and uneven sized bedrooms with a shared bathroom that was not the best. In our flat we had silverfish

The location is great in the centre of headingley with shops, bars and great public transport. The facilities at lupton are abysmal, the kitchen in my flat was falling apart and I had terrible dampnin my room that they refused to fix until I moved out. The bathroom was disgusting with no extractor fans working so there was a buildup of damp. The noise levels were hard to cope with at night especially with drunk people ringing flat buzzers at 4/5am. The security of the site was shocking none of the gates worked so people could get in and security would take 30+ minutes To arrive in emergency situations. Do not move here pay more for a better quality of halls.

While sociable and friendly the halls themselves are ugly with mustard yellow doors and ugly carpets. The bedrooms are spacious and comftable really good for the price of the halls, just wish the kitchen was a little better and the bathroom too the shower isnt great.

Great location, surrounded by pubs and bars and right behind the biggest sainsbury’s In the area. Only 10 minutes to uni steps on the bus, no where near as far as you think. Not worth paying more for any of the other accommodations.

For overall it's very sociable and basic no proper communal space just a round table in the kitchen. Some rooms are bigger than others and some flats nicer than overs. As far as distance goes it's a good 30 mins to uni and 20 to Aldi but not bad for the price of it

The bedrooms in Lupton are standard sizes with a single bed and inbuilt desk. However the kitchen is minute with only one round kitchen table in the corner, a tiny worktop and even smaller floor space. For five flat mates it is very small. You get what you pay for in that it is small, old and facilities are not ideal. Outside is lovely however with well kept grass and picnic benches that fit good amount on

Although the halls were slightly out of the city and away from campus, being in headingly still aloud a full student experience and night life was very good, travel connections (bus and Uber) in to the city I frequently used. The halls have an amazing atmosphere, grounds, and are verh social

Excellent social aspect, always something going on. Only downside is the long trek to uni but you can get the bus for a pound or a bus pass.

One of the best halls for social life but no communal areas apart from small kitchen and bathroom meaning that social activities are small. I love my time at lupton and would recommend About 30 mins from uni walking or bus

The social experience is very good at Lupton, however there are no communal areas apart from a small kitchen.

Really social halls. Half an hour walk to uni but walk was nice and being in headingley was a really nice area. Also made good separation from home and work.
