Good range of eating places within the town, particularly within the new Buttermarket build. But could do with more shopping options to make it stand out against other competition.

The Town has great history and wide vary of leisure activities. As well as has undergone new building of shops in the town center.

There are a few late night, trendy bars to go to, but they're quite spread out. There are a range of shops, in recent years the town has got more 'designer' shops like Jack Wills which has Improved the towns image. As for entertainment for young children I would personally say there are other paces to visit, although Ipswich does have a lot of parks with apparatus.

Good range of places to eat and the usual variety of shops you'd expect from a smaller town. Good choice of cinemas with one in town centre and one a bit further out. Transport isn't great with the station being a 20 min walk out and expensive parking everywhere else as well as being quite busy to drive into the town.

Good student life, halls are fun, town centre is nearby and easy to get to. Still a new uni but everything seems very established already, especially the lecturers in their subject fields.

My uni is relatively new in the grand scheme of things. Only getting its university status last year. But its such a great place to study as the cohorts are relatively small you get more one on one time with lecturers. The town centre is only a 15min walk away and there are loads of places to shop and eat. The nightlife is okay and the club regularly do student nights and deals

It's a brilliant university location with lots to do and explore. I came from a small town over four hours away and i'm loving the difference between my hometown and my new town. It has great facilities, great shopping facilities, lots of transport in and around the country.

Not a huge town, but it's got everything that you need like cinema, shopping centre, nightclub and good transport routes to London etc. Nice waterfront location, plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Wider Suffolk area has nice beaches and countryside

Ipswich contains a few standard shops however nothing special, mostly costa and Starbucks! Nights out are rather average with unit 17 bring the go to place for students.
