Fantastic cheap city with plenty of nice bars and pubs in old town, the avenues and humber street. Everywhere is easy enough to get to and there's plenty to see and get involved with.

Great city for drinking as there's plenty of unique bars, loads of places to eat out and it's not too expensive. Only thing that let's it down is the shopping, there's not much variety.

The uni i decided to attend was not my first choice. However, the experience i had was very thrilling, fun and cheap! lots of student-friendly places to eat and visit.

Hull has a great night life and a rich music scene. There is always something to go and see or do! There are clubs in the town centre and the uni also has a club on campus. There are also many music venues.

Amazing night life, the best value for money I've ever know and all the shops you could hope for!

Good location, only a short bus journey to the city centre and train station. Which is good for students. Nightlife isn’t far away either

Old town is fantastic, with a wide and varied assortment of bars, clubs, pubs and coffee houses. Town centre is idyllic since the renovations, with outlet stores and plans for further construction leading to a massive consumer hub.

There are a variety of nightclubs for all tastes in music, Spiders being a personal favourite. There's a vast variety of takeaways and places to eat. The value for money in Hull is better than most places. Always meet interesting people as it's a very cultured city.

Having been the UK City of Culture in 2017, there is broad and diverse range of cultural activities on offer within Hull. Newland Avenue and Beverley Road are located close to the University and the plethora of shops, bars and restaurants are targeted towards students. Hull's city centre, particularly its old town, provide yet more opportunity to engage with local culture.

Great for students as they Are a major focus of the small city. Shopping and night life isn't great in the city centre but the student union makes up for that

Not a great city, in the two years that I have been here I have had my bike stolen, someone tried to mug me and I got jumped on a night out. Although as long as you use public transport you will be a lot safer

Clubs in hull are up to a decent standard with a least a club to everyone’s preference, however there is not much choice in between. Loads of cocktail places around !!!. Food and shopping is decent, but variety within stores is not very good... all the basic bad quality stores

Hull city it’s a small but lively little town. You can get the the best of both worlds becaus you Can also get the lifestyle of the country side. The accents here are very thick and very Yorkshire, which is hard to understand but I love it anyways. The people are great, very friendly. The town itself, the city center, has great shops and great food to try anywhere you choose. You can do many things like the cinema, shopping, coffee by the sea. I love how they are right by the sea, which shows great walks for everyone to enjoy.Hull is far from york or Scarborough and you can take the train for about 5pound and explore Yorkshire really cheap. Hull is great and I recommend people to study here.

The amount of food places are brilliant, lots to do (especially things to do for free, lots of museums which are very interesting and tell you a lot of things that even I didn’t know about the city and I live there.) The night life is great, lots of bars which are cheap and always an easy way to get home. On Saturday nights there is a bus that takes you straight back to the university and halls which is good for everybody.

I’m enjoying my time in Hull, the prices are cheap and the city centre is beautiful. Sometimes some areas do feel unsafe but generally I would recommend it!

The location is good; close to Lidl on Beverly road, and Sainsbury’s local. New land avenue is close by with loads of bars and clubs and restaurants. There are also local shops and corner shops like tesco express. There are banks too. The city centre is a 30 minute bus ride away, and buses come every 5-10 minutes outside the uni, with a single ticket to the interchange bus station costing just £1.80. The city centre has a lot of shops and restaurants, and there are many cinemas too.

Hull is mint, best night out I've been on bar none. Class events, brilliant people, top food and very very very cheap booze. Is not synonymous with hell as people believe, pretty class time.

The university has a great night life with a huge selection of places to eat too. Burger joints such as kerbedge or dope burger are must eats with nightclubs ranging from the rock music filled spiders to the indie shuffle at Welly to the hits in Asylum.

Small city with enough to do whether it be nights out or other leisure activities, everything is easy to get to.

good value for money but poor night out - not many clubs to go to and boring taxi's are awful have to wait hours or book days in advance for a night out good independent restraints down newland princes though

University is great overall. I have enjoyed my threes at the university. It has great places to eat near by, beautiful environment with the trees and areas to eat especially with the new buildings being built.

Hull, or Kingston upon Hull, is a port city in East Yorkshire, England. Where the River Hull meets the Humber Estuary, The Deep aquarium is a futuristic building with an underwater viewing tunnel and hands-on displays.

Only come to Hull if it's your only option or if you wanna save money otherwise there are plenty of other unis in greater locations with much more things to do on weekends and places to go ... Attractions to see ... Etc. It's not horrible though to be fair I'd give it a 6/10 compared to other uni cities.
