Food good. People good. Good overall. The city is full of a lot of culture which boosts it into a position of excitement and diversity. The city has many different opportunities and things to offer and you will never ever be bored. There aren’t many great independent shops. Make sure to stop by.

Hull is a small city. The city Center has gone through a lot of change and improvement since being city of culture. There is a wide range of places to eat in Hull, whether chain restaurants of independent. From known restaurants like Nando’s, Zizzi, Dominos etc to smaller like BrazGrill or Thai House. From steakhouses to Chinese food, Hull has it. There are a lot of big shops in Hull. Shops like New Look, Topshop and River Island, Hull has at least 2 in the City Centre. There are a lot of shops for a small city. Hull, however doesn’t have an Apple Shop, which is a little bit inconvienient. But there is a verified seller in Princes Quay. There also aren’t many high end shops here. Shops like Harvey Nichols. There can be a lot to do in Hull when events are taking place. But on the average day, there isn’t a lot to do. There’s things like ice skating and trampolining. The cinema is quite cheap, at £5 for any movie for everyone. For other things, you’d have to go outside Hull. I’m general, Hull is a very cheap place to live. Travel within the city is cheap whether by bus or by taxi. Houses are fairly cheap.

It's a nice town, with a simple layout so you can easily get from place to place. The transport is useful from getting across the town and to and from there. The shopping centres are amazing with cheap stores to high class stores giving everyone a option to shop there.

Hull old town is lovely and great for a cocktail vibe night with friends. Piper does a really good student night. Atik is always nice and busy on weekends. There could be more entertainment around the city. More parking would make commuting alot easier.

The city still has its old charm! The people are great and really warm. You get to move at your own pace, not rushing like everyone in london! Shopping life isn't that great as the city does not have high profile brands.

Not many shops, not great entertainment apart from cinema and going out to eat which all gets boring after re doing the same thing

Has good restaurants and bars. There is a lot to do for young people especially if your at uni there for example the shopping centre and nightlife. A nice little city

The city centre has a lot of shops and plenty of places to eat. The buses are fairly priced and get you the there easily, also on a bus route is the kingswood retail park which includes a cinema, shops and more food places. More locally newline avenue has plenty of food and shopping options also.

The transport makes going out to eat extremely convenient , there is lots of choice especially down newland avenue

Hull is a very nice and calm place. Living in the city center is the best part cause I have noticed that there's not a lot to do as you go outer. Other than that I enjoy living here and the 24/7 tesco is the best.

Doesn't have the best reputation, and was skeptical before I arrived but massively exceeded expectations, is friendly, cheap, with loads to do and the actual uni buildings and environment are really good

The food is good, I like spending time in town looking at the waterfront. I also love going to the cinema late at night to watch the new Star Wars. There's two big shopping centres in Hull so there's choice in what you want. There's also a really good milkshake place that does thick Oreo ones and it's lovely.

Overall Hull is an underrated and misunderstood city. Yes there are bad bits, but what city doesn't have those areas. Transport: Very good, lots of buses. Central hub (train/bus station) is currently under renovation, but has has little effect on the running of the public transport. Would prefer if they had night buses running from town to the student district. Nights out: Always funnnnn. Something for everyone. I always have a good night out. Wouldn't be opposed to having another one in the student area (student area is near to the university), or one that would finish later into the night/early morning. Shopping: Has everything I need in town, 2 shopping centres with good shops in. If you love shopping though, go to a bigger city (e.g. Leeds), but Hull does have everything for me. Eating out: So many places to go. The city centre has more mainstream restaurants, whereas the student area has nice local cafes/resturants. Value for money: Great. So much cheaper than bigger cities. I'm happy with it. From rent to pints, it is good for money. Entertainment: I don't really do much, but there wasn't an option for N/A.

Limited places for nights out, a few different food options but pretty much all fast food, no cheaper than anywhere else to live really?

Hull is known for being a dull city and is often forgot, but I couldn't disagree more! Hull is so amazing and always busy with things to do in the town centre. Hull was the City of Culture 2017 and the dramatic changes to its appearance shows what effect this had. The nightlife in Hull is fantastic as there are so many clubs and pubs to choose from - all having slightly different vibes meaning you can find something to suit your taste! The shopping in Hull is amazing too, as there are multiple shopping centres filled with great shops. Hull is a must visit destination.

The city is great for students! Shops are cheap and accessible, the nights out are cheap located not far from student locations. Shops offer good discounts for students and the city had many attractions such as Gravity Trampoline Parks

Its expensive as some foods at restaurants or even takeaways are really expensive and as a studnet we cant afford it as most of the money goes on books or paying for rent.

I think Hull is just getting better and better, there is so much more to do and see and there is something for everyone! Nights out, my favourite place to go is Princes Avenue, it's lively and such a good atmosphere down there, the food is really good down there too, lots of individual places which I think it's brilliant! Newland Avenue is also good for food and drinks.

Relatively decent places to shop, plenty of places to eat whether it be restaurants or fast food. Spiders night club and The Welly can be to enjoy a fun night out and there are plenty of other bars and clubs around you've just got to look

Great night out, range of pubs / bars all with different varieties of drinks and music. Lots of places to eat, ranging from pizzas pastas to steak and chicken ( everythinf you could imagine ) ! The shopping isn't the best, in comparison to somewhere like leeds however hull centre has virtually everything i need therefore its a good place to live. The entertainment is really the only thing lacking as i believe there could be a few more things to do for teenagers

Hull university is one of the best uni I've been to for the facilities and for staff! On the other hand the nightlife could be improved slightly but the drinks are so cheap everywhere and they have great cinemas and bars on places like new land avenue and hull city centre

Lots of amazing night life, hidden gems including Humber street. Lots to do, amazing music, amazing food, amazing people. Not as bad as people say! Plenty to do for everyone. Would 100% recommend. Wouldn't change it for the world
