The location of my halls was probably the best of all of them, close to the library so it was great for study purposes. It wasn’t the most luxurious of halls, but it had all the basic necessities and the social sphere was amazing for first year students. Would definitely recommend.

Old, a bit tacky, but very lovable. The rooms are a decent size with a good ensuite too. The kitchens are alright, breakfast bar and an electric hob, good storage for 5 people. The halls are all open plan, no seperation into flats like other halls, just bedrooms and kitchens along corridors, everyone got to know each other. Only downside was no good living area for TV etc. Had to buy and IKEA table and an extension lead and sit in the corridor with pals. Good memories made there though.

Robert Bryson halls are the closest halls to the library and main buildings. There is a laundry room, lounge, comouter room and every five bedrooms share a kitchen. You can pretty much walk anywhere inside at anytime very easily and so makes it very easy to find friends and socialise. The room itself is a perfect fit for all the basic belongings you need with your own, decent sized ensuite.

Campus university, so quite far from town. There's buses that can take you into town. There's a gym. They're many activities. Social life here is good. Ubereats will not drive to the uni. There's not a living room in our halls, so all socialising is done in the kitchen or the lounge.

Very Expensive for what you get. Laundry is extortionate. Having halls on campus is good to get you into the swing of things at your 1st year of University. Good way to meet people and make friends. Not enough Social spaces in this hall.

The hall is like 5 minutes walking distance tops from my lectures, which is awesome, as I don’t have to commute by bus or so.

Rooms are absolutely fine, good size and comfy bed but kitchen is small and there is no communal area, you end up eating on your room alone! not very social

Pretty good. I like staying close to the university without the halls inconveniencing me . I would recommend this to any friend or new student.

Great support from housekeeping and the wardens, always felt safe there. Standard of rooms wasn't great, as a ground floor room I had mild growing in my bathroom shower and under my desk on the walls. Maintenance would just paint over and it would grow back through. Kitchen was basic but spacious and functional. Location was great academically, being on campus made a real difference. I never needed to upgrade to the paid wifi service, the standard one was fast and reliable.

The location of Robert Bryson Halls is perfect if you want to wait until the last minute to run to your lectures as it's 10 minutes away from the main university building. Also, the design of Robert Bryson is great for the social aspect as there are no locked corridors so it is great to make new friends as you can easily get to other flats and socialise with others, this also means if you don't get along with your flatmates as much there isn't as much segregation between your flat and other flats. Robert Bryson previously had been the party halls and in my year of living there there generally was people going out and partying in the lounge most of the evenings. However, this wasn't to say it was noisy all the time as my flat was situated in the corner of the building so it was generally very quiet but i'm sure some other rooms may have had noise problems, it's just the luck of the draw. As for the rooms i think they were very nice with an ensuite and spacious square room especially as they were the cheapest accomodation I would definitely recomend Robert Bryson.

The bathrooms are quite spacious but the kitchens are quite small compared to other halls and there is one big lounge for the entire floor, definitely the closest to campus so can get out of bed later and the facilities are decent kitchens and bathroom cleaned regularly
