Amazing people there, everyone was always friendly and willing to help you out with any problems. The washing machines were a lot better after Easter when we got new ones, beforehand they were awful. Location is good as Tolcross has lots of cute cafes and the canal to walk down. Also not too far from uni or princes street. My room was great with lots of storage space. No common room which was a major shame

Room is decently spacious and there’s a sink in the room aswell which is a huge bonus. The bed is 3/4 so you can’t really complain. 6 people to a flat, kitchen is mediocre, there can only be one person cooking at once since there wasn’t much room. There’s a tv in the flat, but it wasn’t used very often. Its a super good area too, two local Tesco’s, a Sainsbury’s and a Co-op surrounding the place, and the best club to go out on Friday is right around the corner (don’t worry its far enough to not hear anything when you’re trying to sleep). The main Campus is only a 10 minute walk, the Lidl (lifesaver) is about 15 mins in the same direction. I’m pretty sure they look at who’s studying what and try to place you with people studying the same thing, as one of my flatmates did the same course as me, as well as two girls above us were placed together and studied the same course. Could be coincidence though. One problem is that the gym is about a half an hour walk, so if you want to join a sports club, good luck getting up early in the morning for the morning training sessions.

Looks nice and modern but facilities are lacking in quality, e.g shower barely works and also the glass smashed and the halls tried to charge us for it

The flats were nice and the weekly cleaners were a godsend. My flatmates were awful and noisy and messy but that’s just the luck of the draw. They are in a really good location and of I’d had a different flat my experience would’ve been much better. (Although it would’ve been nice do the bins got emptied regularly)

Overall I would say that Mansion Fountainbridge is good value for money. The rooms are spacious with double beds and sinks, and there are two bathrooms between 6 people. The building is situated right next to one of the biggest clubs in Edinburgh (Atik) which is handy. The only problem I have experienced is the noise from the busy road outside.
