Amazingly central location and great for nights out on cowgate. However flat I stayed in was twelve person and far too big, not ideal for everyone. Bathrooms and kitchen were fairly new but poorly constructed, things constantly breaking also issues with mice throughout building.

Great location - a bit pricey for what is offered and heating cannot be manually controlled as it is set up centrally by the university. My bed could do with a back rest and a more comfortable mattress. Excellent showers!

Recently done up and so in good condition, really good showers! Sociable halls. Only flaw is the noise from three sisters.

Even though I enjoy my overall living in Kincaid's it does have some problems. The oisposit aspects are the easy sociability, as there are many of us, the size of the flats, which I consider pretty big, good facilities (bathrooms renewed, good kitchen etc), working heating. On the negative aspects I would say it's not very secure, laundry facilities are not enough for all of us, no lifts in the buildings.

The rooms are fairly standard, mine looked out onto the courtyard which could be fairly noisy when people were outside but otherwise ideal. The kitchens really need updating, they’re old and unclean. This results in a mice infestation, as with anywhere in Edinburgh. Bathrooms are standard and cheap too. This halls was in such a good location though and full of people that were there to have a good time. I made lifelong friends in these halls so I would recommend it to anyone.

Offered one of the cheapest halls but was situated in a perfect place to make the most out of first year at uni. Updating it was definitely required.
