The location of Trevs is ideal, as it’s situated only a 5 minute walk away from the science site, and about 20 minutes away from town. Within college, there are always events being put on, which appeal to a wide demographic — there’s something for everyone! There are tons of facilities, like the bar (cheap drinks), the buttery (a shop for essentials), social spaces and also a dining room for catered meals. The food is excellent, a huge variety and very generous portions. During freshers week the freshers reps make a huge effort to make the week as welcoming and exciting as possible. The quality of the rooms is reasonably good. Although they’re quite old, they are cleaned well each week and have all the necessary furniture. The only downside is value for money in terms of room quality, since it’s an expensive rent, yet the rooms aren’t furnished as modernly as other uni halls.

The community feel in ‘Trevs’ is what makes it such an incredible place to live: the layout of ‘landings’ in hexagons (!!) means you are able to socialise and feel like you’re living in a group from day 1. The rooms themselves vary from refurbished to older, but all are decent size and include a sink and everything else you need, with particularly large wardrobes!! Everything from the bar to the library facilitates both a focus on studying and a break any time you need one!
