There are tow main clubs in Coventry, one with a vibe catering for undergraduates and another with an older vibe. Both are good with cheap drinks and cool guests.

Coventry is a nice city but it is too small, and the number of students is to big, maybe 90% of the habitants are students and it can be quite boring sometimes.

Although a little worn down in places, Coventry is a decent place for shopping and eating out. Warwick uni is quite far out, taking the bus is pretty much necessary.

The town centre is quite small but as of recently, a lot more restaurants have opened giving you loads of options, there are some staple stores missing but the ones we do have do regular sales giving you more value for money. In the town centre there aren’t many bars or things to do quite late but with Birmingham a 20 Minute train ride away you’re not missing much.

Coventry - also known as Cov - is a little city with a very interesting vibe and ambiance. As a student I find that it's a great city to live in because everything (even the university) is close to the CBD, which makes it easier to get thimgs done in a fast environment.

Coventry has a wide range of shops to visit, most notably Ikea, Primark and the shops in the Lower Precinct and the West Orchard shopping centres. There are a plethora of places to dine and a great amount of activities such as ice skating, Odeon and the swimming pool which all make for a good family day out. Coventry is also very accessible by bus to many - it is served by both National Express and Stagecoach buses, amongst many other companies, and coaches can be taken to airports and other cities from here.

Coventry city has a fascinating history and there are many places to visit in regards to it. Furthermore, beautiful gothic buildings and the amount of parks in every direction creates a wide variety of choices to go to when you want to wind down and admire the view. To add on, the city has a nice selection of delicious fresh foods to fit everybody’s needs. From traditional English kitchen to Korean, Japanese, Turkish, Italian and much more! The way Coventry is situated in the UK is also a huge bonus since you are able to travel freely from it to every direction and in a few hours time be in another big city. Unfortunately, there are quite a frw factors that do not add anything positive to the city. Firstly, there are many homeless people all around the city center and very high levels of littering. Another issue is the public transport. It is very unpredictable and unreliable. The board at the bus stop can be saying that the bus is due but you end up waiting for another 20-40 minutes for it to arrive. Other than that, I am fairly satisfied with the city of Coventry and would say that it is definitely worth visiting at least once.

Coventry has the great potential to have a thriving night life and shopping experience but it is currently being blocked by poor choices from the council. There is a few good places to eat and have drinks but bar that it’s pretty dull and undesirable.

Coventry city centre is pretty small and I would argue that the only good thing about it is the three spoons that are in walking distance from everywhere. The shopping is pretty poor for “going shopping” but you can always manage to find what you want for a fair price. The activities side of things, I find that there are more and more places that are opening each month, for example the crazy golf bar that opened recently. The night life is great, if you want to go for a drink. The real two student bars are the oak which offers a night of rock and metal and is open until late every night of the week, and quids which is the place to find most other students. The Phoenix claims to be a student bar, but their prices are only for the very rich students although the do offer a quiz night every Sunday. The night clubs in Coventry are pretty dire and if you don’t go on a student night they are horrific. The prices on student night are fair, £2.50 for a double but on a Saturday you’re going to be paying £7-8. for the final and probably the worst things about coventry, the accommodation. If you go and see old friends in other universities, you are quickly going to realise that they are paying much less for a much nicer place. If you want anywhere that you actually feel comfortable to live in, you’re going to be paying upwards of £600 a month. Most of the time rent doesn’t include bills either and therefore it’s very hard to find somewhere that for example the student loan will cover go and entire year. Equally living at how is going to end up being just as expensive due to there no longer being any student parking. Not only did they not advertise they had student parking but now they have built on it. Making it very difficult to find cheap parking.

The shopping within Coventry is not the best for those who like to shop for high end clothing including myself as there are only 2 stores which sell high end clothes and they do not have the largest of selections to be honest so it is much preferred to go to places like Birmingham.

Covebtry has great transport links thats can get you to London within an hour or Birmingham in less than 15 minutes. There is more restaurants emerging and nice range if value and choice to choose from

The city life in Coventry could be better but I wouldn't complain because the food places are amazing

It's like a concrete jungle in the middle of town. Lots of shops but not a pleasant environment to shop in. Some nicer places not in the centre like the war memorial park.

It's known for having a bad reputation, but I actually like it. Coventry has everything you could want for a little city, most the popular shops, lots of restaurants. A good mixture of cheap and expensive. It has a good range of clubs for all types of music! I thinks it can be a cheap city to live in if your careful. The centre has alot of history from world war 2. It also has alot to do with the automotive industry and has a musuem all about the history of that.

Coventry is good for a night out and is in a good location to go out in Birmingham as well. It has all the facilities of a big city (shops restaurants etc) but has a cozier atmosphere and is less bustling. There are a wide variety of restaurants and chains and plenty of takeaway and delivery options

Town has almost everything you need but maybe not everything you want! It's relatively easy to get into the centre from surrounding towns. A range of daytime activities, from escape rooms to mini golf scattered about. Great vegetarian "fish and chip" shop that is definitely one of the highlights of Cov!

Coventry is a good city for meeting new people in uni but the night life is not the best it gets repetitive, there isn't many shops and eating out isn't the best either. If you wanna have a house party it's good it chill with friends and order food then it's good for that

The city has many different types of shops which cater for all different needs. The night life if not bad with cocktail bars , golf bars , ball pit bars and fairly decent night clubs. The city is one of the best places now in the uk for university due to the mass of accommodation and courses available from art to business it has everything you could ever need plus it's allways exspanding

Coventry is a very nice town. It is very modern and tidy there are plenty things to do such as going to the cinemas , bowling, golf, and lots more. They have a wide range of restaurants which gives you more options.

It's a busy city always with something to do. However it isn't so big that you can't get to places to transport to uni, city centre, shops it's easy to walk or Uber. And to get out of Coventry the train station is close enough meaning living here gives you access to bigger things. For a night out there's multiple places to go depending on what night you go out there's always one club with something on. Overall it's a busy yet homely place to live.

Not many places for food. Shopping is decent but nothing amazing. Not many things to do other than typical things like cinema, bowling. Although the ice skating rink is good. Good value for money- pretty cheap area! Transport can be a bit expensive and annoying, especially as there's multiple bus companies so can't get a day ticket to cover all areas.

In general, Coventry is a multicultural city with a lot to do with friends and family. From food to days out, there are a lot of options in this respect; cinema, lazertag, ice skating, and even bowling. However, living as a student in this city comes at a heavy price, the price of food could be more student friendly and affordable. However there are a wide range of place to eat in the city centre, from favourites such as KFC and Pepes, to top Italian restaurants such as Zizzi's. Overall a lively place to live for students and families alike.

I have been a student at Coventry University for four years now (one year placement abroad) and originally I am from Cambridge. The city of Coventry is relatively small, with everything situated within the centre. I have had the best few years of my life here and made some brilliant friends! The city is good, things are a LOT cheaper than in Cambridge (£1 Jagers every Friday) so for students that is great! In terms of clubs, there is three main ones, but one of them is mainly for the sports societies on Wednesdays, so really there's only 2. This is good initially but novelty wears off so could do with more clubs! However they are fun and cheap so can't complain. I love the bars and pubs there are so many to choose from with a lot of different vibes so that's nice! The shops are alright, they close quite early at 5pm weekdays which is a bit annoying but easily adaptable. There is limited supermarkets within walking distance of most residential areas near the town centre so that could do with improvement. Restaurants are great this year they've introduced a few more such as Zizzi and Bistro Pierre and The Botanist! So yeah restaurants is a five star from me! All in all, Coventry is a great place to go for a student who likes easy access to a city centre as everything is in walking distance, relatively good night life, very very cheap, a good amount of leisure activities to choose from and fab place to meet friends!

Coventry is a great city to live as a student, there are plenty of bars next to the university and also lots of smaller restaurants who don't charge exorbitant prices. There are a few night clubs but not a great selection to choose from, however the ones they have are pretty good and will mean a good night out.
