Chichester City

Chichester is quite a small but quaint town with so much history. There are some pretty funky shops including a couple of record stores and vintage stores. There are so many places to eat, it has pretty much every kind of restaurant you can imagine and not only that but some cool activities. There’s a canal with great Christmas fireworks and the market has some great quality but affordable food.

If you're not too bothered about night life and love to see pretty views, then this place is for you. It can be frustrating as it seems like you have stepped back in time, however everywhere you look it picturesque. The cathedral takes centre stage in the city centre, and around are lots of perfect quaint places to eat. Cute, sweet but a little old.

Chichester is a great place for shopping and general amicable surroundings, the buildings are beautiful in the town centre and full of a wide variety of shops for all price points. The public transport is frequent and fairly priced and there are lots of things to do ranging from bowling, to the cinema, to trampoline parks. Would thoroughly recommend Chichester as a place to live to any person due to the varying price points it's suitable for all.

A very quiet and peaceful town. A vrey pretty cathedral to visit and many restaurants to eat out. Really close to the coast so you can enjoy sunny warm days. Also really well conected to big cities like Southampton and Portsmouth. It's got a small University with many activities going on during the whole week.

Chichester is a lovely small city, with plenty to offer. It has a wide range of restaurants as well as local cafes. It also has local shops and markets in the town centre as well as having big brand shops. You feel like your in a city but you can walk 10 mins from town centre and you'll be in the countryside, with the beautiful South Downs. A 15 min drive from chichester will get you to the beach!

There is a small town with many shops across the square. Chichester gate is a very good space, with lots of places to eat, things to do and parking spaces available for free! There are pubs around the town and near to the station for friends and family to visit and catch up. Good place to live, but in need of more activities to do in the centre.

Lovely place many shops but also lots of natural spaces and friendly people. The area is well cared for and there are many money saving shops and schemas to take advantage off. Everything you could need is in walking distance and if you need to go further transport via bus train and taxi are all really good

The shops in Chichester are varied and reasonably priced. There are lots of places to eat out, whether you want some thing quick or to make a night of it. The centre of the city has beautiful architecture and a large cathedral. There are lots of places for coffees and overall it is a lovely place to visit.

Chichester is a lovely part of the UK. I visit at least once a year. And I love it, such nice restaurants, however you have to go out on weekends for a night out!

Cute. However there is not much to do. There is only one bar that acts as a club for the nightlife other than the au the university has and daytime there no big shops or basically anything else to socialise on.

Very lacklustre location for nights out and partying, a few small bars with generally older crowd or desperate students. In my second year they converted one bar into more of a ‘club’ bringing in a dance floor, but for the small space, capacity was tiny and the place itself left a lot to be desired. Most of the time we would find ourselves travelling to the next town ‘Bognor Regis’ and visiting their 1 club, which also wasn’t anything special or exciting. Shopping was average, enough shops and places that you need, but again a lot of shops to please the older and richer clientele. Some of them I wouldn’t step foot in on a student budget.

I love this city, the location, the people and the general atmosphere! Choosing this university and area to learn was one of the best choices I made not only for my confidence but for my mental health too!

Chichester is very much an old person town, we only have one pub/club and the student union which is located on campus. As I’m not catered I don’t eat the food from the uni, I do my own shopping. There isn’t much to do here at all so we try and make do with the small bowling ally we have and for fun we just go to each other’s flats

The City of Hichester is a really nice place to be. There are many opportunities to go shopping, to have fun and the restaurants are also great. Such a peaceful area to live in.

There are little clubs in Chichester so night life is not as good. But I don’t go out much so it doesn’t phase me. The location of the campus is lovely, Bognor by the seaside, it’s great. Food is good, Stockbridge is right next to chi gate and tesco extra is close too.

Location wise, chichester is a very small city. There are however lots of restaurants from chains to independent cafes. The nightlife is limited, however we all love it and make the most of it. It certainly has its perks. Also, living so close to the beach, for someone from the midlands, I love the fact that we are so close.

Lovely array of shops and eateries. Pleasant people and nice architecture, perfect for a Saturday when you aren’t too sure what to do; ample cheap parking too, cannot go wrong

Chichester is a friendly and fairly safe city! It has many great restaurants and good shopping facilities

Location is beautiful, however not great for student night life; no clubs, only a few bars. But good shopping in the town.

Chichester as a town is nice! It's small, the amount of shops are varied but don't have a lot of stock, the night life is okay, it's good for me as I'm a social drinker, but it does get frustrating for others. Value for money, i don't have an opinion on as I'm from Brighton... Everything is value for money

Nightlife is low but plenty of bars and shopping around. Transport between campuses is quick but only once or twice an hour.

Good city, lots of things to do. Good options for food and going out. Bus system is good as well. These were definitely things that I considered while choosing Chichester and this should be e anywhere you go.

Chichester is an absolutely amazing place to begin with. The town if huge just for starters. The amount of things places to go is endless. Chichester has many many fun and entertaining choices. Cinema, Bowling, Clubbing, Walking, anything you can pretty much imagine a city to have.
