Good location, average room, bath room and food. Value for money is better than other accommodation at the same uni but not the best compared to other universities.

The accommodation in itself is overpriced when looking at the space and what's included, however I don't think I would have had the same uni experience if I didn't live there through first year. The cleaners are really lovely and the staff in whites dining hall who cater to my dietary intolerance which is really helpful! Would reccomend but would warn them about certain problems we encountered.

Its efficient but isn't great, there isn't a large amount of space in the kitchen, a small fridge with a kettle and a microwave, isn't anywhere to store frozen goods. Mattresses aren't the best but they aren't the worst either, room sizes are decent and you get your own bathroom too.

Good to have an ensuite! However, catered food is not always the best. Very close to the student union so it can get quite loud especially on Friday nights.

Halls is bloody brilliant , you get your own bathroom which is great in first year , and the storage space is much better than what you get in second year. In astbury you are in corridors of 30 so mingling with people is really easy, the common room is a good size but mainly used by ground floor students. It’s also on campus so if you’re on Parkgate , you can literally roll out of bed at 8:55am and still make a 9am lecture

Enjoy the social experience however, the maintenance of the building is poor with essentials such as the showers, windows and some electrics in need of renewal with very little done when mentioned to Porters. The rooms are very small with little storage and seems very expensive for the room itself. The food is awful and we have complained many times with no changes seen. Although, I have enjoyed my experience I would not recommend this house.

The location is great for people studying on main campus as it is right in the middle. Each room has it's own ensuite which was ideal for myself. It also got cleaned once a week and rubbish removed. Price was appropriate for what was offered as it was fully catered. 3 meals a day 7 days a week. A wide range of food to choose from that changed daily. Very easy to make friends as there was 80+ other people in the same accommodation. 3 floors with 30 plus rooms on each floor, all sharing one kitchen which included a microwave, kettle and toaster because most meals were made for in the on site dining hall. Single beds in every room with a spacious desk, wardrobe and shelf. Lovely social area downstairs to meet people. Including a hall warden to offer support who lived in the accomidation also. Internet, gas and electric included in the price.
