As a big city girl, coming to Carlisle seemed like a shock. Very small however I felt very welcome due to its size. The locals are friendly and all the students know and help each other out. Freshers week is good for socialising and making friends for life who will support you going forward The shopping and restaurants are a downpoint however the train station will take you too all major cities ... Newcastle and Liverpool are great for shopping
