The facilities are great and allow great sporting opportunities! However, I found the people in my flat not that sociable so I've struggled with the social side of university

very good accomodation! Would definetly reccomend a fresher to stay in cyncoed for their first year. If you stay anywhere else it is less practical and you will feel like you are missing out. Catered is also a good idea

AMAZING LOCATION TO LECTURES - Waltz out of bed 10 mins before and bang you make it to your lectures on time!!! Amazing atmosphere, everyone's friends and like a big community, always buzzing

Nice refurbished rooms but so far from everything. Bus on campus is handy however. So handy being less than 5 minutes away from your lectures

Really good double bedroom size with plenty of storage and study space. Facilities around the campus were brilliant and to a very high standard. Close to the centre which has great nightlife and events going on.

Has good facilities although is is a bit of a trek to the washing room from my room. WiFi in my room isn't very good keeps dropping out unless you are in the middle of the room, social life is very good lots of night clubs in the city and has a good student union bar which holds events every year. Room size with an en suite is a god send and they useful.

It was Cleaned once a week by univserity campus cleaners however we had issues with mice, causing chaos within the flat, eating our dry food etc.

Let’s jaut say my halls weren’t great, 16 people in a flat, with 3 showers and 3 toilets that always smelt. The kitchen was about the size of a shoe box and didn’t even have an oven. The rooms were reasonably sized however I had to move out of my original room due to a leak.

Was very old, the mix of people wasn’t great either and a lot of people leave to go home for the weekend which means the atmosphere is dead on halls. However it was quite communal during the week and the kitchen was a nice space for everyone to meet.

Neville Halls on Cyncoed was great because the rooms were spacious and it was a short walk away from everything on campus. And by short, I mean 30 seconds if that! The only down fall was that the shared bathroom wasn’t the best and the kitchen was very small.

I love the atmosphere within halls. Everyone knows everyone and you're only a walk away from anyone else's flat. The flats I am in are good quality for what you get, whereas on campus, I've seen better conditions in poor countries! The rooms are decent sizes and so are kitchens for self-catered students, and having an en-suite has been the most helpful thing in the world! Would totally recommend living in halls for the social experience and independence.

The location of he halls is incredibly convenient. The SU is an asset. The rooms are not soundproof and the plumbing is awful. The catered food is horrible

Location is about 10/15 minutes away from the centre however facilities are very good on campuses with a small shop/ bar. Most of the halfs are refurbished however the Ellis block that I live in are very old and worn down meaning things get broken very easy. Also in these blocks there are no ovens which is not ideal.

Small room for the price, if I got the option again I wouldnt do catered because I don’t eat there anyway so waisting money, because food not the best. Got unlucky with the people in my flat. Good socially, just have to find the right people.

Flatmates are horrible, walls are paper thin, soundproofing is a myth, half the flat is falling apart, neighbours are unreasonably loud with bass blasting so loudly my bed moves even though theyre in a different building and they often beep their car horns at 3 am, the water very often is full of white shit even if you leave it running for five minutes. Management arent hugely helpful at times, hugely overpriced compared to private halls which are all cheaper and have much higher quality rooms.

Quite newly renovated which is good as I stayed there a few years ago Wi-Fi can be really slow at times Great that food is included, not always a great choice though

Location of the halls are perfect as they are literally a 2 min walk to lecture theatres on campus. The en-suited self catered rooms are okay, could do with being slightly modernised but in general really good social campus. However could do with a social space apart from the kitchen.
