Although I was unsure about Cartwright before living there it turned out to be the best halls. Everyone was so close cause there were so few people in the halls and that meant that we spent so much time together. The shared bathroom between 2 was actually really nice and the bath was good.

Location was amaizng becayse close to the University, only a 15 minute walk. It is very close to shops and ammeneties, bars, pubs, coffee shops etc. Was also located in a residential street so was not too studenty. However, great location overall.

Despite earning it's nickname 'Clearing Court,' your initial disappointment is made up for by the great community spirit as the population is so small. The rooms are also well sized, much larger than Senghenydd Court even though you pay the same price. The location seems bad at first, but in the grand scheme of things, it is only a 25 minute walk to the student's union and you can explore Roath, Crwys Road and City Road, where there are much more interesting and unique restaurants, pubs and shops. Being able to have proper house parties in first year definitely tops cramming into someone's tiny flat, although the Cartwright flats also have huge kitchens. Don't despair!

At Cartwright Court you share a flat with 6 people. The room sizes are huge for the price you pay, and it is reasonably close to the university! You share a bathroom with only 1 person, which is also big and has a bath! The houses (A and B) are very social and come together for events, meaning it's very easy to make friends and have a great room! It's quiet when you want to sleep, but fun enough to have a good time...

I am very happy with my halls this year, the rooms at cartwright are sizable and the colours on the walls give the room a homely touch. Bathroom facilities are good and it's nice to be in the heart of Cardiff as apposed to on a campus however the walk is a little far from the uni. Overall good experience and if I had to live in halls again I would chose cartwright as I think for this price I got a better deal than staying in tallibont North a smaller accommodation with less charm at the same price.
