The building is dirty with a lot of things broken including the main door. The staff are very unhelpful on reception if you have a problem. The location is good and very central and there is a bus close by. There are also several shops.

My flat is very nice, with the the communal areas being a decent size ans the bedrrooms being a very nice size. The main guys at reception are extremely nice and easy to talk to and will usually sort out any problems as soon as they know about them. Theres a big outdoor area for people to smoke but is also really nice to hang out there when its a nice day. It is super central so you don't have to walk far for anything at all as its also right by all the main bus stops. The social/communal area is also a nice addition with a pool table and table tennis as well as lots of seating. The only downside I have found this year is that the lifts have been out of order a few times and will sometimes take a while to get fixed, but there are 2 lifts and most of the time it is only 1 lift that doesn't work.

Good location. Quite far walk to campus. Terrible social life there. Rooms are good and spacious. No problems with WiFi. Currently undergoing refurbishment. Lifts never work so walking to seventh floor was always fun times

Halls had recently been renovated when I arrived (2014) so were of a nice standard. Double beds in rooms which not all people received and fairly modern kitchens although they were never clean (but that’s due to flat mates). Downsides are that the rent is extortionate! £750 a month where as comparitively you can go private house shares for as little as £300 per month and he experience doesn’t really differ. However, if you do choose to go private in your first years I would suggest somewhere near the centre (bedminster, Clifton, Gloucester Road) in order to gain the best experience. It’s probably also a good idea to join a house with people in the same year as you, that way you’re all be in the same page. Drake house was fun first year but so expensive that it crippled my experiences. Another side point, communal areas such as the lift and courtyard were never kept very clean and often smelled. The communal games room was a bonus though and location was really good.

The location is based in the city centre, right next to cabbot circus. This is perfect for access to transport routes, shops and venues. All the flats are very spacious with rooms designed to allow students to work, relax and feel at home with personal decorations. Overall Nelson and Drake is filled with a friendly and social atmosphere, where students can socialise in the common room and courtyard and ease into the lifestyle of Bristol.

You get to live in the middle of Bristol's city center in an incredibly modern and well design flat. Accommodation provides great social space. You get loads of space, especially in the shared kitchen. It also has this weird open shower thing - it's not bad, you get used to it. You are sharing the bathroom.

The location of the flat is perfectly slap bang in the middle of Bristol allowing easy access to any part of the city via the bus routes. The receptionists of the building are friendly, welcoming and warm there are no complaints. The rooms however are a little beaten and bruized but still carry character with more space than most student accomodation and bigger beds than my last place of residence. The vending machine however is always broken or empty and that sucks.

Pay includes cleaning in social areas every two weeks however not always cleaned. When there are security reasons staff do little about it and take (in my case) three weeks to solve a security problem.

Great location, right in the heart of Bristol so going out is very easy with many bus links right next to the building. Staff are relaxed, and there is a chance mom room with a pool table and tv which is great for hanging out with mates in. Overall would highly recommend to any first year student!

The furniture in the room is very modern, with white finishing, the rooms are also a very big size, the kitchen area is nice and big, plenty of cupboard space. There is also an outside area where you can smoke which is very useful!

The location is amazing and halls are mainly quiet and tidy but far too much money considering no ensuite and I’ve personally struggled with making friends here.
