The nights out are so good, everything's open till late and it's such a vibrant busy city. The lanes are really cool but so is Churchill square. Brighton has so many shops, all that you could want pretty much

Relly nice vity lots of atractions and tge newly made i360 is amazing. The young people have lots of activities and events to engage with as 2ell as festivals to attend. This is xity by the sea gives you the advantage to go and have a tan in summer, every day as well as a nice dip in the ocean. The pier has lots of amazing rides for the brave and also apropiate ones for choldren. The city is suited for differnt age groups and perfect for a family retreat in the holiday.

I would strongly reccommend taking a stroll through the north laines. There are some really cute shops and fantastic restaurants! The photo booth shop is brilliant, I would highly rate there. Also if you fancy it Guru Body Piercing are awesome, really friendly guys if piercings are your jam.

As a place to live in your 20s, Brighton is fun and vibrant. In my experience it is richer in pub and bar culture than clubbing, which is perfectly suited to the strong creative presence in the city. Often there will be so many live music events on one night, the only struggle will be which one to go to. As the vegan capital of the UK, there is also an incredible amount of eating out options for everyone, whatever their diet. Downsides are that everything is expensive - rent, drinks, food, even charity shops - and it is very usual to get paid minimum wage here. It is also a place that really lacks is ethnic and culture diversity, something you'll really notice if moving here from somewhere like London or Bristol.Bristol. But overall it is an exciting place to live and learn and meet new people .

Brighton is the best place to be a student! The city is feueled by them! Shopping is great, you have high street shops in Churchill square, high end brands in south lanes, and then quirky retro shops in north lanes. Then you can find charity shops which are great for students based in areas like london road and kemptown. The choice of restaurants is so wide, deliveroo is also available. Prices are around the same as London however. I spend most nights out in patterns, because this is the primary club which hosts electronic dance music. Entry is around £7-£10 at the weekends but they also host student events during the week. Clubbing is sometimes limited to patterns because there are generic student clubs based down at the seafront eg shoosh. Recently promoters have been putting on nights in theatres and restaurants which is great to see. I couldn't imagine being a student anywhere else!

Brighton itself has a great atmosphere and is a wonderful place to live and study. It offers fun nights out for students and lots of food places and things to do for people with lots of different tasted. I would definitely recommend studying here.

There's a lot of choices for food in Brighton. I am happy that I will never felt boring with variety of food.

Night life is great, although not loads of places there's such a range of music, and the pubs are fab with a variety of different nights. There's also so much good food in Brighton especially for veggie/vegans and not ridiculous prices either! Shopping is great whether you want the classic shops in Churchill square or the more hippy shops down the lanes with plenty of vintage and second hand shops

Great city, everything you could need. Constant transport to every part of the city, including at night. Range of restaurants, both chain and independent. Loads of shops. Night life is fab! Something for everyone. Only downside is it can get so busy at the weekend and during summer!

Brighton is such a great student town. It has everything a student could ever need from a huge shopping centre to various clubs dotted around the town. As Churchill square shopping centre, the Laines are also packed full of quirky little shops varying I anything from clothes to food to tech and the list goes on. For food places Brighton is thriving with culture and has a wide range of restaurants and cafes for everyone's taste. The nightlife is always constant with a club for everyone's taste especially popular with students. As well as night life there's always something to be found to do in the day wether is strolling around the high street, exploring the huge pier or going to the sealife centre is packed full of activities for any age range.

I mostly get around by foot or bike so don't use the transport very often. Every night out I've had has been pretty good. There a lot of nice vintage shops in The Lanes but it's all a little pricey. Vegan food options are 10/10 but as like most things in town a little overpriced. Entertainment in the city is fab!

Brighton nights out are the closest thing you can get to going abroad. Every music genre is catered for and Pryzm Disco room may or may not be god sent. Churchill square has everything for shopping and there's loads to do. Only down side is you pay London prices, so pick your night wisely.

Brighton! Where to begin! It's so unique when compared to any other city that I've been to. It's a cosy, hilly city, with lots and lots to offer. Going to university is such a pleasure in this city, the nightlife does not disappoint! It boasts one of the best gay clubs in the uk - revenge, some really cool venues for music acts e.g. Concorde 2 for a really special night, and patterns for something a little more different and quirky. All of these are located next to the amazing, the beautiful, Brighton beach! It's pebbly greatness is something I'm so bless to live close to! Shopping is great too, if you're after the classic popular brands, head on up to Churchill square and catch some bites afterwards in the upstairs food area! Or if you're after something a little niche, the laines is the place for you, where you will find tiny, fascinating little shops with great deals on clothing and jewellery and all things nice that you definitely couldn't find elsewhere. Brighton being so close to London (50 min train) is also really great, for work or nights out. Brighton Pride festival in the summer is the biggest pride event in the UK, and it never disappoints. Overall, fab city.

I found Brighton had a lot to offer for students with the main town not being to far from most of the campuses. It was also easy to travel round and was a small town so had lots to explore and experience with restaurants, activities, clubs and bars it's a vibrant city with lots to offer.

Awesome nights out with many bars and clubs to choose from. Can be a tad expensive, but it is Brighton after all! Look for cheap student nights! LocTion of Brighton is amazing and a must see! The Brighton landmarks such as the pier, the pavilion and so much more! Think of a shop and 90% of the time it is there! Eating out is awesome with a variety of options from cheap dining to luxurious dining!

Brighton is an amazing place to go out, eat and shop. There’s always lots of things going on with amazing student deals throughout the week. However, the living cost in Brighton is high. It’s expensive to rent anywhere in the area which is a shame.

Brighton is perfectly sized, with events happening all the time. The nightlife is great due to the amount of students living in the city. Brighton is also close to London, as well as my home town (Hastings).

Brighton Is an amazing place. The shopping has such a wide range from vintage clothing to high street shops. The nightlife is great, especially Thursday Revenge or Haunt. It's by the beach so great in summer. Buses all day for a good price so easy to get around. Amazing range of vegan restaurants as well as plenty for meat eaters.

Brighton is quite an expensive place to live, but you pay for the amazing ambience that comes with the city. It seems that no matter what day of the week it is, there is always something to go see or do. Not only is the hustle and bustle amazing, but brighton is saturated with wonderful, socially minded and quirky people. Being the only Green Party constituency in the UK has given the city a reputation for its left leaning and environmentally conscious politics, and this is reinforced with the plethora of ethical and vegan shops and cafes all around the city.

Great nights out, festivals, bars, there’s always something to do in Brighton. The beach is pebbly but nice and clean. Wherever you live it is easy to get to town or the train station.

I enjoyed my time at my UNI doing a foundation year. I lived an hour from the uni as i was living at home so got a train everyday. The transportation was great and there were buses available to take from the station to the uni which was a less than 10 minute ride, however for £4.50 for a single it was quite expensive! so I decided to walk the 30 minute walk most days. Brighton is a lovely unique city with a great nightlife and plenty of vegan options in terms of food!

I absolutely loved Brighton as a location for being a university student as it was fun, vibrant and friendly. There was something for everyone including great shops, a huge selection of restaurants, cafes and bars as well as live music and clubs. It had a brilliant city life but also so close to the beach and country - ideal!

The Univeristy of Sussex is located in the beautiful South Downs National Park. Only a stone throw away from Brighton, the campus is in an ideal location for those who seek the campus experience, but also wish to be able to escape into city life. Whatever your interests, Brighton will be sure to fulfil your needs, from typical high street stores, to unique boutiques in the Lanes, and bars on every corner. That’s not to forget the large stretch of clubs on the seafront, and 24/7 bus transport to/from campus for those drunken, early mornings. Most importantly, however, is the strong security presence within Brighton. Due to the vast quantity of pubs, bars, and clubs, there is security on every corner, and as a consequence of this, Brighton feels incredibly safe regardless of the time of night. Overall, Brighton is a fabulously unique city, with a bohemian vibe. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any prospective students.
