Pros: Every day's a beach day :P Always events going on like Brighton fringe All the clothes shops and chain restaurants you could need Always have vintage kilo sales on if you're into that kind of thing Cons: No wilkos!?! Hot chocolate is way over priced and I'm yet to find one actually worth the cost All the best cafes shops are always packed, and most of them only sell over priced cakes, it's difficult to find lunch options or cheese straws

Brighton is an amazing city to visit and live in. If you like shopping in independent shops and eating in delicious cafes and restaurants, Brighton will tick all the boxes. One thing to mention is that it is quite expensive, however if you're smart you don't have to spend a lot of money to have a good time. The beach is free!

Brighton is known for its cute, quirky bars and cafés and annual event, Pride. It also has lots of restaurants and clubs by the seafront so you’ll never get bored of the city. The Brighton Marina also has a wide range of restaurants and activities such as bowling, cinema and glow in the dark mini-golf. Brighton Dome and Komedia also have some great entertainment and The Grand provides afternoon tea and other dining experiences which are perfect for reunions or other special occasions. A few other places I recommend going to are The Lanes, Royal Pavilion and Brighton Pier. All the places listed above are within walking distance from each other but there are buses going to all parts of the city if you’re feeling lazy!

While this city is on the pricier side, the experience of living here is unbeatable. The variety of activity in this city means you simply never get bored. The beach is beautiful and always buzzing. One end has more clubs, there the hove side is calmer and full of beautiful bars and restaurants.

Brighton has a variety of different things to entertain you, it has a pier with various sources of amusement as well as the beach. In the summer months there is plenty to do including the brighton fringe festival. I love. the variety of restaurants as well as the variety of clubs meaning there is night life for you no matter what music you like

Brighton town has everything that a student could possibly need. Churchill square for all the shopping , and then lanes full of different restaurants, ranging in prices. Perfect for a cheap eat on a student budget, but also places for a date night eat. Night life is great, and summer in Brighton is one of my favourite things!

Lovely place, full of lots of friendly people. Always feel safe here but it is way too expensive everywhere. Also needs a cheaper cinema.

Nights out are so fun ranging from live music in clubs and bars, Irish pubs, hipster bars and gay clubs. Most clubs are on the seafront so you are able to take in the beautiful panoramic views on a night out. What's more Brighton has the famous pier, with an arcade and fun rides at the end and typical seaside food at the entrance it's a great place for all ages. There's is such a wide range of wonderful places to buy food from quirky vegan cafes in the north laines, yummy Italians by the sea front and heaps of great take away places to get value for money, yummy food! What's more Churchill Square offers a fab range of high street shops and chain restaurants. However the Lanes is another option with high end and designer shops aswell as quirky and unique shops offering one off gifts and treats.

Friendly atmosphere, small city so I don't feel particularly unsafe if im walking alone. Loads of places to eat and go out. I find the clothes shopping to be quite limited and prefer to go into bigger cities to do that. Good transport links, buses to all parts of the city and outskirts are regular throughout the day and night.

I live in Brighton. Brighton is a really colourful , young, lively student town. It has 31,000 students or could be more. It has beautiful beach and alot of fun activities too. As it is a studenty town, it has amazing activities and festivals going on all the time. It has big shopping centre with all the brands one can think of. The nightlife is also full of life. Good food joints one can try and the view at the Pier is a feather in the cap.

Brighton is a really great city with a vibrant atmosphere that accepts people from all walks of life. The only reason why it doesn't have 5 stars is because it isn't big enough for me, I'd personally like a bit more hussle and bussle. However, the gorgeous lanes are a sight to see on a cold December's evening.

Pros: lots of good places to eat and drink, beach, amazing during the summer, good transport links to the rest of the UK as well as internationally through which is a 30 minute train journey away, people are (generally) friendly, a large proportion of the population aren't from Brighton originally so you don't feel like an outsider and it feels very welcoming, an outrageous amount of pubs and a lot have nice beer gardens Cons: things are expensive, almost like London prices without the London minimum wage, it lacks nice bars - you either go pub or go clubbing - there isn't much of an in between

So many independent shops and places to eat which make Brighton so unique. There's so much to do everywhere you go you'll never be bored and you'll always find somewhere great to eat and drink.

Brighton is a young and vibrant city filled with all walks of life. I've lived and worked in Brighton for many years now and spend a lot of my time walking through down the lanes on the hunt for a new coffee house. You really are spoilt for choice and when it comes to finding things to do, a quick look on google maps shows whats around you. it's one of the best ways to explore the city, especially if you get lost like me!

I absolutely love living in Brighton as a uni student ! The small city combines with the amazing lanes with lots of unique shops and restaurants is so cozy. The pier is a day out in itself and not forgetting the nightclubs along the seafront where I have made the most amazing memories. Brighton has so much more to offer than just fish and chips and I would definitely love to live here permanently in the future !

Very vibrant city, perfect for students and young people but not only limited to those. With access to sea and multiple entertainment venues, Brighton attract people every year. It is a very diverse, friendly and a rather liberal city, where any quirks are accommodated for.

Lively city with things to do 24/7. Beach, city and countryside. Plenty of bars and clubs for various scenes- from gay clubs to drum and bass. You can find anything in the centre which is focused in one place. From the Lanes unique shops to Churchill Square. London prices in most places.
