Bolton Town

• there are quite a few places to enjoy quiz nights, dancing, and drinking • several shops have been closing due to unsatisfactory demands e.g. high street shops • Bolton Interchange makes it easier for people to wait for public transport • Some restaurants offer cheaper prices on their menu compared to Manchester’s prices e.g. Subway • Bolton Market Place and Crompton Place have their share of different shops to visit such as Starbucks, Zara, Topshop, River Island, Debenhams, Next, and Boots • There is also a wet market that people can buy fresh fruits, fish, and meats from. • Sainsbury’s, Marks and Spencer and Morrissons are fairly close to each other with Home Bargains and TKMaxx and also Argos. • The Vaults Bolton in Market Place offers few places for drinks too, Prezzo and Nando’s for a meal.

Theres a nandos so all is good with food. Also levels is lit. Buses are easy and so are trains. Manchester is easy to get to and is better than bolton.

Nights out at Bolton are very limited, most places close up and you’re left to very little choice on what to do, as a resident I find myself travelling to other places out of the town for fun nights out. The food here is pretty good, the variety is is neither amazing or bad, plenty of take aways and a couple restaurants and bars which are always a plus. Shopping in the town is Deminishing slowly as the town center has shops which are closing down continuously, however the typical high street clothing shops are still here and the overall experience in Bolton town for shopping is pretty good in “the vaults” and also the largest retail park in the country located in Bolton, Horwich.

Good quiet place to live but can get very boring at times with there being a selective amount of activities to do that eventually get dull. Food wise there's endless options from healthy restaurants to your local takeaway.

The like the market place. It's great with amazing food and cinema and shops. Taxi is very cheap. Night out is alright, the price is okay too

Uni was the best thing I ever did, the independence is brilliant and going to a smaller uni was in my benefit, I love a drink and I love the nightlife here

Tried the Punk IPA in the Brewdog bar Manchester and it changed my drinking habits for good, it has opened me up to the world of ales and tastier beers!

The uni is great location to go and eat or go into town as it’s not exactly in town centre as it’s about 5 mins walk away but it also hidden

The location of the uni is pretty great. Within 30 mins distance of two major cities like Manchester and Preston. It has everything in the town centre, all your favourite fast food chains and shops. Everything is within a walking distance and the local shops are great value for money.

Great town, close to all the brands and basic amenities. Cheap and easy public transport. Close to bigger cities like Manchester, Preston, Liverpool, Leeds. The fact that it's a quiet, cheap, and close to major big cities was one of the deciding factors for me to choose this place. Shopping is pretty good too.

Good range of shops and would only have to go to, Manchester for something specific. Easy to get to as there's a big transport hub. Shame there's not Met Link.
