The University of Birmingham is in a great location!! Whilst it's a campus uni, the centre is only 7 minutes train journey away so achieves a perfect balance between a campus environment and being able to reach a city filled with a choice of clubs/shops/bars/and other entertainment venues!

Birmingham is an amazing city to be apart of, the nightlife is one of its major perks as there’s always something to do. In terms of the shopping it’s also very good with a variety of shops and food outlets spotted around the city. Transportation methods are also relatively good as there are many buses to all areas, a tram through the town and there are 3 train stations in the city centre.

The location of Aston University is excellent being located right in the heart of the city centre which is full of shops and places to eat. This location makes the university really easily accessible as all bus routes are located in the city centre which also makes getting to all locations super easy. The bullring is located no more than a ten minute walk away from the university which is full of amazing shops, not to mention the grand central which contains delicious eateries such as italian and japanese street food and low cost shops. The bull ring and grand central contain everything you could need and are only a door stop away!

A really great location near the city centre but not too close. Right next to it's own station so it has great transport links. Lots of pubs and shops in close proximity and a small retail park nearby for when you don't want to venture into town.

I love traveling, nights out in Birmingham is fun with friends and there are a few things to do here as well such as bouldering, mini golf, go karting, cinemas etc

Located in the city centre, everything you could possibly need is in close proximity, you will rarely need to use buses/taxis. There is a massive variety of food shops to eat from as well as hundreds of shops to buy what you want/need.

Birmingham is a great city with loads to do. It has great shopping and really fab independent restaurants and bars, and always has loads going on.

University of Birmingham is a beautiful campus that makes it it's own bubble. Spots on campus to keep you busy include the lapworth museum, barber institute of fine arts, and winterbourne gardens. Not to mention having a beer in the new green heart or having a lie down in chancellors court to soak up some sun on a nice day. To leave campus, it's super easy with being the only uni in England to have a railway station on campus. A seven minute train journey takes you to grand central for food and shops, orstep out to the bullring or the markets for some discount fruit and veg. Overall fab location!!

Great city, the nights out are huge and varied, getting into Birmingham is so easy, simple and cheap, but our guild of students on campus is such a good night out as well and it does great food during the day

Amazing culture and nights out. Great food has amazing variety. Town centre is good for shopping, the library is great and spacious. As for places to do, you have a lot of choice in that regard, cadburys world, star city, the mailbox, bullring and broad street. There are also the canals to walk around in or take a canal route by one of the boats. Other places are great for walks have amazing parks such as canon hill park. Overall a great vibrant city to be apart of.

The canal in Birmingham is very well maintained and the bars and restaurants are excellent. An ideal place to spend some time with friends and family after a long walk in the city centre.

I really like the location of my university as there are plenty of public car parks nearby, which are also easy to get to. My uni is also only a 5-10minute walk to the bullring shopping centre and New Street, which is very good if I wanted to go shopping after my lectures.

Birmingham is a great city for students , especially for those who come from abroad. It is multicultural and has loads of great things to offer such as volunteering opportunities, jobs, night clubs, parks, transport and close proximity to all bigger UK cities such as London, Manchester, Liverpool, Cardiff, Bristol etc.

The nights out are a bit dead sometimes, like not many different types of music. Shopping is pretty good, Bullring is huge. It’s just pretty dangerous sometimes and doesn’t feel particularly safe. Know a lot of people that have had car windows smashed and stuff.

Birmingham city centre and surrounding areas provides plenty of day time activities as well as numerous clubs and bars. Some parts of the night life can be repetitive, as the clubs are fairly similar, but this is not a major issue most of the time, as the bars differ greatly. Massive array of shops in the bullring, town, and down corporation street.

Really decent for nights out, easy to get to broad street from all unis. Shopping is great, particularly with the bullring near by, which also has restaurants. Generally you get good value for money, nights out on the weekend can be expensive but normally it’s affordable. There’s not really much to do, there’s a museum and the city library but other than that it lacks entertainment and also green spaces in summer.

Birmingham is in the process if being majorly redone and mordernised, there is always student accommodation being made as well as popular shops bein expanded like Primark. New Street station is very accessible to all university in case of trips and/or going back home if students dont live in birmingham. There is always on somewhere around the city for people to enjoy whether it be a midweek student night or a quiet market stroll on the weekend.

Some of the best nights out. All kinds of music catered to just on broad street itself. Close to Aston and not much in cab fair from UOB. Also have Arcadia which is super lit and also caters to both pop enthusiast or the trap queen. There are also many bars in Brindley Place as well as pubs and places to eat!

Birmingham is a large and vibrant city, there is something for everyone. For the shoppers, there are bullring, the fort or even an outlet haven close to the Birmingham airport. There are plenty of pubs, clubs and bars that are affordable and fun with different themes events. For the chocolate lovers, the Cadbury factory is a 15 min train away. There are wildlife parks, farms and parks around for the nature or animal lovers. Not forgetting all the type of cruisines around, including a Chinatown of their own.

My uni is right by the city centre so super convenient but also means quite a bit of traffic during the day. And then goes really quiet after about 6 and there’s not much to do after that. Has quite a few good places to shop and for entertainment

Nice location, with decent sightseeing, although could be very grey in winter and autumn time, not much to do, but city centre is small and easy to go around.

Studying at Aston University, the university is located approximately a 10 minute walk away from the main shopping, business and entertainment areas of the city. Transportation to these areas is brilliant with the availability of several black cabs outside the university on Aston Street, and a lot of Ubers in the area which are very responsive! Along with the main shopping area, Bullring, comes several food restaurants from Nando’s to Pizza Hut and much more! The choice for food is brilliant and the city as a whole has excellent places to eat outside of the main shopping area, such as Soho Tavern - an Indian restaurant/ pub! Shopping is brilliant at Bullring ranging from designer stores to department stores so be sure to be spoiled for choice! In terms of value for money, it’s brilliant for all leisure activities with cheap gyms a 10 minute walk away and the price of food is standard too! Nightlife is great with Pryzm, Mooch and the new Rosie’s club open on Broad Street offering student nights and cheap drinks most Thursdays excluding term holidays. Finally, people are spoilt for entertainment options with theatres approximately a 5 minute drive away, an Odeon cinema a 10 minute walk from Aston and the o2 Institute offering concerts from top artists, including other events.
