Second city is very good. Despite current developments resulting in diversions and cranes along the skyline, existing attractions, restaraunts and clubs are good

I have really enjoyed the food and shopping aspects great value money. I look forward to trying a night out with it.

Great Nightlife, good value and a mixture of everything you could want, always got a good atmosphere, can be a little rough at times, especially on Saturday nights, but majority of the time, pretty safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Has all the shopping and eating you could possibly need, bullring is extensive but sometimes crowded, queues for escalators never great, but overall not too bad of you avoid the really busy times of the week.

Overall it’s a banging place to be. The highlifht is really the nightlife, as there are so many bars and clubs open to students. Drinks are cheap and there is a large student population in Birmingham. They also have wicked music events like Lil Uzi Vert.

It has lovely shops, a few nice parks. However, it very much lacks an oldtown. The city is commercialized, lack character. I find it tough to find cool and cozy places to hang out with friends in. Also, prices for everyone are high: starting with groceries, food to public transportation and entertainment. The city has a few parks, but they're very small and can be walked around in a span of a few minutes. The centre lacks greenness, but there are nicer places as well such as Edgbaston, where trees make everything look nicer. I think someone with a lot of money and a busy, work driven lifestyle would love it, however those, who like culture, history, nature and try to save a bit of money can have a hard time enjoying their time at Birmingham.

About 10 mins from Broard Street, is goooood. All the unis are pretty central and have acces to stores to buy shit

Night life is amazing and relatively cheap. Shopping is great with the bullring not far from the campus. There is loads of attractions around and the pricing of stuff is reasonable

The place of Birmingham, is very nice. I am from London myself and does not seem very different which is good. The nightlife is great, so even if the student union of Aston University is not having a good event, Broad Street or Arcadian never fails to please! Shopping is also awesome, they have a Bullring (within walking distance) which is very convinent. They have all shops here, and their food places have recently started to be good with Las Igunas! Although, shopping for food for home is not the best, because the cheapest place would be Tesco Metro, and there is no big grocery shoppig place closeby - furthest is like 45 mins walk. So the value for money for weekly shopping is not great and can get pretty expensive. On the weekends, there is not much you can do within short distance. On the weekdays, theres always something happening, whether thats a Gosta night out or a cinema night with friends.

The city centre is small so doesn't have as much to offer as some other cities, there are only a couple of clubs that I go to because most play the same kind of music that doesn't interest me. The bullring and shopping areas are very busy so I avoid them. There are some great bars and music venues, I love the music scene in Birmingham.

Selly oak is the heart of students - within 3 miles there’s an amazing shopping centre which is only a cheap train ride away. The nights out are good in digbeth, nights out on broad street are for freshers usually. Bham is an expensive place to live but has good public transport so it’s easier to get around

Town centre always has something to do

At my Uni all campuses are easily accessible by public transport. My campus is in walking distance of broad street where loads of pubs/bars/clubs are there is also a big morrisons, 2 cinemas, at least 1 gym, bowling alley and a rock climbing centre within a 10min walk from my campus.

Birmingham is host to lively nightlife with areas such as Digbeth, The Jewelry Quarter and of course Broad Streer for a students pub, club and bar needs. Tickets for club nights vary but usually average around a fiver with student nights with £2 singles in places. The Bullring and City Centre offer excellent shopping destinations and the UKs next flagship Primark is due to open late 2018!

Cheap friendly and fun

Clubs on Broad Street are expensive and often overcrowded. Lots of other great, cheap places in Digbeth if you’re willing to go looking for them. Shopping is great as we have the Bullring, New Street and Grand Central.

Birmingham is an amazing city - there is a full range of things on offer. From nightlife to musems to art and music. If you want a vibrant, upcoming and exciting city you need to go to uni in Birmingham

For shopping /food it’s the best but for things to do it’s not great. Trying to go for cute walks or looking for cute places is gross.

The accomadation is pretty close to the city centre and uni itself. Its close to broad street with nightlife and there's a bus stop right outside

Lots of bars and clubs in both central and outside of the city centre. Variety of music and genres of music to suit all. Shopping centres in city centre are suitable for both High Street and high-end purchases.

Birmingham is a very busy place. The nightlife is the best. There is a lot of opportunities for young people and people of all different ages. There is a lot of places to go shopping and range from different prices. There are a lot of restaurants for you to eat out independantly and eat as part as a group.

At first time I heard of Birmingham I heard it was a lot city. It's hard to be serious with uni and alot of others. Then I came to Aston university which is basically in the city centre lol. It has been truly fun in a healthy way. Well I love shopping and eating and playing anf I don't enjoy reading but it has really been a fun experience even with my studies. I have been able to balance having fun with studying.wierdest combo ever but it's not so bad after all.
