Birmingham

Birmingham is the second biggest city in the UK so i had high expectations. The uni is a train or bus or 5 pound uber away, which is nice to not be in the busy city but is still close enough, although it would be nicer for nights out if it was a walk away. The city itself is rammed with shops and restaraunts, everything you want is there. The nightlife is good too, with most of the clubs on the same streeet.

The accommodation is very old fashioned, it’s in an unpleasant area of Birmingham. Other than this it is accessible for things such as shopping and travel. Nights out are not so accessible

Birmingham has lots to offer in terms of entertainment. It is cheap to get taxis and buses and there is a mix of places to eat including in the Bullring. The nightlife can get boring sometimes as there are only a few good clubs but when there is a student night it is very cheap.

Florida amazing for fun things to do. Great shopping and everything is cheap, loads of theme parks and things to do with animals. Food is A M A Z I N G! Loads for the price and the people are so nice! It's expensive but way worth it.

Great location with lots of nightlife and food places. Close links to London and other major cities in the UK. Lots of high street and high end fashion. Not too expensive here

Birmingham sometimes doesn’t get the best name, but with recent investment into the city some areas are really springing up. There is always plenty to do, be that nights out, and plenty of places to explore between various parks, restaurants, pubs and cafes. The shopping opportunities are good, and transport into town is incredibly easy from studenty Selly Oak.

Birmingham is a great city, with some great universities. The University of Birmingham is situated right in the heart of Birmingham, on its very own campus in Edgbaston. It’s only ten minutes from the city and can be easily accessed by train, car or bus! Everything you need is available practically on your doorstep, from nightlife to cinemas to shopping at the Bullring.

There are many shops which are easily accessible when going out to shop and any nights out the food place are so diverse from a spicy indian to the classical british fish and chips. Some of the shops are quite pricey but theres a shop for eveyone on a budget. The transport can be difficult if travelling by car the parking takes time and cost quiet a bit. However if you were to go on public transport it parks up right near the bullring which is easily approcable plus it takes you to many destinations around birmingham.

The city by it self is ok. Usually is windy and cloudy, probably same in other parts of UK. Birmongham offer great amount of places for night out, there is always something open during the week.

The location of uni is perfect. The city's not super expensive, much better than London, loads of shopping centres very near, eating out options with various cuisines and even vegan options. All clubs we go to have student offers so drinks are pretty cheap. Favourite things to do: going to the spa, bowling or cinema.

Birmingham is one of the best cities for all ages and cultures of people. With amazing night life for students, leisure facilities and shopping centres. Birmingham provides London quality shopping at cheaper prices. Also, the transport system in Birmingham is great with bus routes and train routes to all parts of Birmingham.

Location of the uni is very convenient, near enough to Birmingham city centre and so easy access to so many shops and all the transport links of buses, trams and trains.

The location is great, it’s near edgbaston as well as harbourne, which is a great small town with all the shops you need. As well as this, the uni is in great walking distance with the uni train station being only a 10 minute walk and a 6 minute train journey to the centre of Birmingham. The shopping is great here as is the night life as there are hundreds of places to choose from about where to eat, shop and drink. You also have the sea life centre close as well as Cadbury world just a short train stop away!

I go to university in Birmingham. I think it’s a wonderful city especially because it’s known to be the second largest student city in the UK. Meaning nights out, student life and general day to day living is something to look forward to when you live in a place like Birmingham!

I love the location of Birmingham. Everything is so close to student living, the clubs are a 5 minute drive away and shops only a train stop away or 10 minute drive. There are loads of shops and restaurants so plenty of variety.

Amazing city, couldn’t recommend it enough for a student. The bullring shopping centre is great, and right in the centre of the city, and the new Grand Central station has countless restaurants as well as more retail outlets! There are nights out to suit everyone, ranging from cheesy, student events, bar crawls, Rnb nights and underground music/ raves. Digbeth dining club every Friday is an amazing street food market and a fab social event to go to also.

Great city with an amazing blend of cultures. Everything is conveniently placed with transport, train systems can have small delays! Great atmosphere and something to do for everyone. Restaurants and food is very good, and a wide variety from more expensive to very cheap. Student discounts are accepted widely including £5 tickets to lots of concerts in many venues.

The uni is a 10 minute train journey from the city centre. It's perfect if you want a campus uni but don't want to feel like you are living entirely in a uni bubble. Birmingham has loads of clubs, pubs and bars, the Bull ring shopping centre and other things to do such as Cadbury world. It also has a really good music scene!

The uni night life is amaizng! So many clubs and bars to go to, even if you don’t drink there some many other things to do like mini golf, jump nation type place

There is a variety and diverse range of things to do in Birmingham. The best things to do are the nightlife with a range of clubs, bars and other activities such as drink golf! It is amazing!

Birmingham is the ultimate student city. Nights out are one of the best you will ever get in the country. However, they can be fairly expensive, with taxi fares, actual tickets and price of drinks. Bullring is the hotspot for shopping and it has every brand you can think of, from high street to high end shops. Grand Central and The Mailbox have a selection of restaurants which offer a wide range of cuisines, that you should try. The city has good dessert places as well as takeaways. If you are a health concious student and want to burn calories from those cheesy chips after a night out, there are also plenty of Gyms in the city like PureGym, EasyGym and TheGymGroup. There are great job opportunities for students too. So if you are looking to move out of your home, to an affordable and diverse city with a good nightlife, Birmingham is the place to be!

Birmingham is a big place, and it has loads to offer, with so many amazing shops, tourist attractions, many nightlife events, and the food is amazing, u can find everything your looking for in Birmingham

Birmingham is probably one of the most underrated cities in the UK. Having only heard negative things before coming I was pleasantly surprised to find lots of activities, great people and a wonderful city centre. Pints are much cheaper than down south as well!

The city centre is great for daytime drinking and a great choice in restaurants. The night out leaves a lot to be desired. Poor choice of clubs and also expensive.
