Great for students and good fun on students nights like Fab n Fresh. The food and drink is relativley cheap.

The bar itself is in a great location inside the university of Birmingham and it's very student friendly with all student workers, pool table and even an app where you can control the music playing.

A great place to eat and meet friends after a long day of lectures. They've recently added a vegan menu which is very budget friendly and tasty!

Good atmosphere for students looking for a quick bite to eat or drink and catch up with friends. Also very spacious.

Great food, great friendly staff, cheap prices. On the odd occasion the food service has been slow but only at busy times.

The staff at joes are always really friendly and there is a nice lively atmosphere. The chips are the best thing on the menu especially the curly fries and there is very quick service. Sometimes it is a little busy if you go at peak time but during the day it is a nice relaxing place and they have lots of seating. The fried breakfast on the Sunday is also really nice and is on all day and good value so I would recommend it. They do sometimes have music playing quite loud so sometimes it is not the easiest to talk in. It also has a nice outdoor seating area for when it is sunny.

Great food and good for both day time or evening. Reasonable prices and friendly student staff! Fab is also a great night out when Joes is turned into a club.

Good atmosphere including music. Plenty of seating including outside facilities. Good choice of food and drink. Very student friendly.

Good atmosphere with relatively cheap food, very good shout for students. You can pick the music via an app however the video doesn't always match the music. Very good vibe overall.

JOE'S bar is the best place for friends. You live a hole new life in the night. Mates,Girls,Guys and don't forget the dance. It all perfect for us students. We can feel free from our pain and live our night life. Best part is that it's quite cheap after a while. U meet new friends who buy u drinks. Ha. Just remembering the music in call is so fun. Only problem is remembering it.

Whether you live in the Vale, Pritchatts or Selly oak, Joe's bar is a great central location to meet up on a spontaneous trip after a stressful day of lectures or for a planned chilled evening drink with your mates. It's filled with students which gives it a good atmosphere and is a great place to meet new people. On a regular day it has a pub like atmosphere where music is playing but you can still hear eachother speak however, it's modern design makes it a whole new experience to your traditional pub. it even has an app where the customers control the music which means you'll have something new every day. However for a student bar, drinks and food are overpriced and the food is a bit average for what you pay for. On a Saturday night hosts it's famous student night Fab n Fresh which is a great student night as you have two floors with the top floor playing chart music and the occasional cheese with downstairs playing house tunes so it has something for everyone. Although it's convenient as it's a walk away so you don't need to spend money on taxis, it is very expensive. Out of all the student nights in Birmingham, Fab is by far the most expensive to buy drinks. On some nights it does get too overcrowded and it becomes a tedeous night of waiting 30 minutes for a drink just for everyone to knock it over after. So overall Joe's bar is a convenient and fun place to hang out however if you live in Selly oak there at much better places for a casual drink such as the Goose and the Soak which both have cheaper food and drink and is even closer for people in Selly Oak. It's student night is great fun but the tunes get a bit repetitive and it's a bit expensive compared to other student nights.

Great for chilled drinks and even better for sports night and fab n fresh, best night out in Birmingham.

Joe's bar is the best for students as it is exclusively for students so you know what you're gonna be getting. The two mainly week events are sports night and fab n fresh, which are equally good. Sports night is a great laugh as each team dresses up in a different theme every week.

Fab is THE best night out in Birmingham. Must make sure to have a few drinks in you before the night begins though!

Joe’s bar is a lovely little restaurant/bar on campus at the University of Birmingham. The atmosphere is very relaxed and is a great place for students to go and have lunch or dinner and a few drinks whenever they need a break or to wind down from their lectures, assignments and/or their exams. The food is lovely and reasonably priced, as well as the drinks. Staff are mostly students themselves and always appear friendly and easy to approach.

Great venue. Easy to navigate on campus: easily accessible from Selly Oak. Relatively cheap drinks. Music in the underground is good. Silent disco is awful and needs improving or should be replaced with an actual DJ for Dance/electric music. The middle floor where Joe’s Bar is located has terrible music. Joe the DJ is awful and should be replaced.

Located in the heart of the University of Birmingham campus, Joes Bar is a great place for students to catch up with friends during the day. During Wednesday and Saturday evenings it doubles up as a club which sells out every week. Great prices and great vibes. The only criticism is a lack of choice in terms of beer but other than that you can’t go wrong! Good food is also available which tends to be very popular

really good value, best place to go on a Saturday night. Everyone is a student so will know lots of people.

Great staff, even better milkshakes. Decent prices but having to spend £5 or more to pay with your card will get you drunk quick

Overpriced drinks. Awful Coke. Doesn’t taste right. The food is nice but overall a lot of money for a student union bar. No deals.

Good place to meet some pretty ladies. I met my girlfriend there and we’re already planning on getting married once we graduate (:

Really friendly bar, nice decor and spacious. The food is really reasonably priced and tasty. Perfect location on campus where you can grab something to eat or drink at any time.

The pub is good value (with a Joe's card) and the food is alright. The ability to add songs to the playlist is pretty good and pool tables are always a nice touch. Can be a bit short on table space at times but is convenient being on campus.

The price of drinks are standard, with some good deals on shots given that its a student bar. The bar has a friedly atmosphere, with a good range of food, which us discounted with a Joe's Card. The music is good and contibuted towards the relaxed atmosphere
