Recommend aitken so much! So social and being on meal plan is so much easier and helps you socialise. It's so much better value for money than most other accomdation! Sink in the room is so convient and in most flats 2 bathrooms for 6 people so never any issues waiting. Also you need to be on the vale! Enjoyed aitken so much!!!

I lived here for 2/3 years during my undergraduate programme and I loved it because it was a 5 minute walk away from university, 20 minute walk away from town, and 15 minute walk away from work!

Kinda felt like a prison at times because of the small rooms. if you didn't have good flatmates then it's definitely harder to find friends. In summer / hot weather the rooms are horrid

Curzon was a good Halls to life at. I enjoyed living there as the nightlife was good and there were many parties. My housemates were really sound people and I got on with all of them, we had many good times together as a flat.

The rooms themselves are really lovely and can be made to feel really homely. Kitchens are nice if your flatmates contribute to cleaning. Onsite laundry is good however is rather expensive.

Staff are friendly and try to be helpful hence 3* but the water stops randomly for a day sometimes every week, the internet is appalling and the signal bad, the beds and mattresses are really hard and unforgiving and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of security once staff leave.

Halls themselves are okay, water gets turned off a lot but reception staff are lovely and always have free fruit, snacks and things available.

This place is awful!!! Half the time we have no water due to maintenance problems, the other half of the time the water comes out as white as milk! The heating is awful, you will 100% need a plug in heater in order to not freeze. The rooms are dirty and old, the decoration is outdated and not worth what you have to pay to live here. However, the staff are lovely and they really do try their best. The location is perfect if you’re at the mileniuk point or curzon campus as it’s literally across the road. It’s also only 10 mins from the bullring.

Lived in these halls in first year, while they're a very fun accommodation to live in if you're an outgoing, party loving kind of person, the overall experience wasn't great. Despite our best efforts to keep our halls clean, over the year we got many fly and rat infestations. The gate was broken for a few months so anybody could walk in, and security did very little to take care of any noise complaints. Although I enjoyed my stay for the most part and met some friends for life, the accommodation didn't live up to the price we were paying for it.

I stayed at curzon gateway for two years and heres my overall experience Value for money is very low. You get a bed that’s like sleeping on a rock, the minimal amount of space possible, I can guarantee from the moment you move in something will be not working or broken in your flat or kitchen - we had to take photographic evidence of everything. Sadly I don’t have the photos anymore but here’s a taster of the list of issues that I had within say 2 months of being there - Toaster needed replacing Bedroom lock needed replacing Kettle broke Microwave broke Fridge needed replacing Computer chair needed replacing from the moment I moved in Hoover needed replacing The price is constantly increasing by ridiculous amounts - I couldn’t afford the rooms on almost the highest amount of student finance available in their most basic available rooms It’s not all doom and gloom The staff are super friendly and will help you out incredibly quick with any issues The internet’s surprisingly fast! There are pleasantly of social areas, if you want to use them although I never did And it’s just across the road from the city centre campus - no getting up ridiculously early to catch a bus for 9am lectures

My flat is delightful! Everyone around the accomidation is so friendly and the staff are amazing. The facilities and rooms are good for the price and the housekeeping defiantly helps us!

The rooms were really good. I loved the blackout curtains and the heating, and the people at the front desk were always so kind and helpful whenever we needed anything. When we had problems with a flatmate they kept us in good contact and did offer some great advice and options. Overall a great place to live as it is so close to the uni, and the atmosphere is really fun.

Very homely feel, the staff are great and the location is perfect. Only a 5 minute walk from Millennium Point and Parkside, which is so useful. Really enjoyable. Common area with the pool table tends to be dominated by druggies though.

Room was well designed. Fit more in it than I could fit at home even though my room at home was smaller; the storage solutions are great. The courtyard and proximity to the city centre make it a great place to make friends. It's proximity to university allows for rolling out of bed into class and has amazing views of the city centre! 10/10 would recommend for a great experience. I stayed there for two years.
