Bangor City is a nice place if you like quiet strolls and some good views, if you know where to look. During Christmas time the High Street is filled with Christmas lights that make it shine during the night making it really beautiful. Shopping is average but has shops like H&M, River Island and topman. For nights out there are only two clubs that people got to, the Cube and Academi. Academi is university owned and has some pretty good events on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

There are plenty of shops of all different types, clothing, food, household, beauty etc... Bangor has quite good prices all round, most restaurants and shops aren't too pricy and student discount is usually available. Many pubs and a few nightclubs around town, Academi and Cube (nightclubs) have quite good reviews and I've had many friends go there. Only downfall I believe is public transport, I've often had buses not arrive on time or even at all. They are often late and sometimes get cancelled. Buses come roughly once an hour. Bangor is in a nice area as you can easily travel around and if you'd like to go out of Bangor you can just follow the coast to somewhere like Llandudno for a day out.

Bangor is a quaint city on the banks of the Menai straights. It is predominantly a student city with plenty of pubs and bars to keep yourself hydrated. The high street consists of a verity of shops and cafes, ranging from big name brands to smaller local businesses. The city’s football club also has a healthy following, a couple hundred fans watch every game at the stadium which is located on the outskirts of town. They also offer discounted tickets for students, the perfect way to spend your Friday nights before heading out for a big night in town. The main club is Cube which is by far the busiest in the city. Two floors of music and bars and a huge dance floor to match. Bangor is a perfect place to spend your years of studying if you’re looking for a small, quiet welsh city.

Irs a really nice small city. There's a lot of pubs but only a couple of nightclubs. Everything is close together so it's very easy to get around.

Bangor is a very small town so when you are out and about you nearly always see some one you know which is nice! But the size is also limited to things to do, it can often get repetitive so travelling outside the city is the alternative. Nightlife is okay, the clubs and pubs try their best! I think being with a good group of people on a night out here make it!

Nights out: Academi is ok but nights in there always tend to be the same and often I find it quite young and almost too cheesy in there. Some nights it is pretty quiet in there too. Cube is good, range of students and locals and the choice of 4 different rooms keeos the night interesting. Pubs around Bangor are all good, incl Spoons, Paddys, Rascals and Harp. Club DB seems to be popular with locals and is very much hit or miss. There are a number of places to eat and shop around Bangor, but if you are from a bigger city it will be seemingly lacking in things to do.

As Bangor is quite a small place, I understood beforehand that my options to do things were limited. However I didn't understand just how much this would be. Firstly, the 'high street' consisting of the main shops is subpar at best - there aren't many stores at all and there are a lot of empty, run down buildings. Nights out are okay, if you become accustomed to the (frankly disappointing) student run night club and the other, much larger (but still somewhat lacking) club. An upside to Bangor however is its places to eat, as they cater to many different food needs.

the nights out are ‘alright’ in bangor. there are three clubs and one of them is terrible, the music choice isn’t good. the actual town is mediocre. you can definitely tell it’s full of young adults as there is trash everywhere. the weather probably doesn’t help either as the wind is very strong. the high street is very tired and needs a lot of improvement. the train station is vary close to the main university site and travel is very easy
