Tiny box room, over priced, prisons cells are probably nicer. Takes maintenance days to come, nearly a week to change a light bulb. Only positive outcome is the social experience you get from living in halls.

These halls are about 10 minutes away from the University, but have lovely views towards the Snowdonia mountain range. As far as facilities are concerned, they could be better. The kitchen area should have more soft seating since there's only 4 chairs to 8 people. Also, we can only put the heating on 4 times in a day (between 7am - 12am) for an hour each time which is absurd because it gets cold at night when you really need it. We have a cleaner which visits every week but she moves everything off of counters (due to there not being enough cupboard space) and doesn't change our hoover bag. There are a lot of events planned for social experiences. The room is big enough (I have one of the average sized rooms) with enough storage however doesn't have a full length mirror for some reason. I personally think £124 a week is overpriced for these halls compared to other universities' halls because it is only a single bed, doesn't have unlimited heating and has dated appliances such as an old kettle, microwave and oven (which broke but got replaced the next day with a brand new one!). All in all, I would recommend these halls - and especially this building to first year students due to it being central to everywhere on the Ffriddoedd site!
