The rooms are very basic, very prison like in nature. They are however ensuites with is helpful. The kitchens leave very much to be desired, the tables and chairs resemble what you had in high school, not a comfortable environment meaning you often ate in your room. Very basic you have to make the rooms your own. It’s very close to security however which is a handy meeting spot for people and take away delivery.

When I started uni I was placed in borth because I was a student nurse and so nurses were placed together. This meant we had very limited social opportunities with other students and really effected the overall experience. Although it was nice having our own bathroom the hall was old and needs redecorating as the walls were like jail cells and compared to other halls on campus were very ugly. Other than this they were liveable.

Location really good, very close to the uni. Great bar on campus, and with most students living on ffriddoedd site it made it very social.

If I had not met such amazing people in my flat then halls of residence would have been an absolute disaster. The shower is cramped and lacking power, and the room smells damp as I cannot open the window enough and the fan does not provide adequate ventilation. The halls staff are not there to help with welfare in any way but they are there to fine you and take your money! Displinaries for putting up post-it notes and having pre-drinks in the flat! Ridiculous! Also there is disregard for security of halls, as a spare key was found in a pub to my room and no effort was made to secure the block or my room! I had to threaten contacting higher powers as they had broken laws on housing. Although living in halls has been great fun, the halls staff have tainted my experience. Also nothing is done to help you meet other people in your block: when we organised a gathering ourselves it got shut down!

Room has basic essentials and is a decent size considering the price (a lot cheaper than other universities and one of the cheapest halls in Bangor). Kitchen again is basic, not as nice as the kitchens of other halls and does not have any sofas. Location is great as in the middle of fridd village, round the corner from the gym and right next to rhe laundrette and security. No lifts in the building so if on firsy or second floors a long process of moving in. Ground floor has very little natural light and people tend to look in when walking past.

15 mins from Main Arts building. Practical, warm, well equipped, 24/7 on-site security, weekly cleaners, on-site shop (with friendly staff), helpful Halls office staff.

The room is decent mainly because of the ensuit bathroom, but the social experience within my flat was not good. My flatmates were difficult to live with and uncooperative in terms of cleaning the shared areas.

All of the basics are there, you get a bed, desk, wardrobe, chair, and some shelves. The bathroom is more of a wet room and it can get absolutely soaked when you use the shower. The heating is on a timer which means that you can't use it for most of the day, mine broke halfway through the year and never got fixed. The kitchen felt a little shabby compared to the newer halls like peris, plastic chairs and old tables. One large fridge and a large freezer was definitely enough for the whole flat.
