Where does our data come from?

League Tables

Our league tables are compiled from our reviews (we’ve got more than 100,000 of them!). We get current and past students, who have first-hand knowledge, to review and rate a wide range of university-related categories. We then compile league tables to show you the best of what UK universities have to offer.

Our league tables work on average ratings, but sometimes they also take volume of reviews into account. We use this system to ensure that universities (or nightclubs, societies, etc.) with just one or two five star reviews don’t always end up at the top of every league table. By taking into account how many reviews something has, as well as the average ratings of these reviews, we are able to compile a league table in which the top spots are given to those which receive a lot of consistently high ratings, therefore creating a ranking resource that you can really trust.
