Virgin Media Mobile Networks Reviews

I find virgin a pretty good network. Customer service is okay, there are sometimes long waits to get through to someone but I've never had any major issues and have always got what i needed sorted. Coverage tends to be pretty good all over but I've never been on another network so don't realy have a comparison. As I've been on the network for so long I get quite a good deal, with 6g of data and unlimited minutes etc.

Coverage is not always great but great value for money if you're a virgin media customer. They also allow for rollover data which is great. They keep pestering me to upgrade though when I'm happy with my current phone.

Virgin Mobile has pretty good coverage, and decent prices for what you get. I've had some trouble using their website/my account, as it's under my mum's name but she doesn't remember signing up for an account and neither her nor my emails work and we were unable to get through to customer services (bear in mind this was on the sunday after black friday) which meant we missed out on a better deal. However, the times we've visited a shop have all gone smoothly, the people are friendly and helpful in there. Overall, I like being with this provider.

I recently switched to virgin media after hearing many good reviews, and am not disappointed! The customer service side of it was long-winded and a little difficult to get through, but my plan was set up pretty quickly and was working within an hour so I was very satisfied with that. I'm never without signal and the amount of data allowances and calls/messages I get for the money I pay is very impressive.

Me and my family all use Virgin which is very handy as we all get to make free phone calls between us, however if someone in our family doesn't use Virgin then we do not get this perk.

Great speed great features on being able to connect to any wifi decent signal been with them since 2013 or so useful in alot of areas nice customer service

Always great customer service. Very good service including postage of SIM etc...Had some replacement SIMs free of charge. Helpful when I have a problem.

The deals are really good (especially wrt data), and the coverage is also good, but sometimes even when there is coverage and 4G, download speeds can be slow, this maybe because Virgin uses EE network, so EE's traffic might be prioritized over Virgin.

Virgin have been a great network provider. I have had great service when it comes to coverage, as a I have encountered very few areas where I have required service and had no connection. There have only been certain areas which already had poor service to begin with. On top of that, the speed of their network has been satisfactory. I have also thoroughly enjoyed the use of their mobile app to track my data use and also discover new benefits to my mobile plan such as rollover data which I make use of every month new, very useful. On top of that, I would like to see Virgin making ways to implement 5G technology when it becomes a viable option through new data plans.

Overall the cost of the contract is good for the amount of data, messages and minutes I get, however, it has slowly increased over the past year to the point it is 25 percent higher than the initial contract I signed up for. Coverage is good, especially when abroad.

Phone network goes down alot and cannot call or use data and it is very inconvenient. Data although still left, does not work in certain careas such as bilston and doesnt work in some houses. Sometimes i have to stand outside just to search something or to make a phone call. Texts dont send because of no data and continhe to try and send as an imessage allthough ive pressed send as text

Fantastic company to be with, brilliant signal, and cheap affordable contract for an iPhone 6. I have never have a problem with service. The only issue I have is data usage, as you don't get much for the price you pay.

My contract is a £20 a month sim only contract with a bonus offer of upgrading my phone after 2 months. It comes with unlimited texts, unlimited calls and 30GB which I feel like is a very good deal. I was originally on a phone contract however my phone is still good to use so I decided against paying the extra £20 for another Phone, I spoke to them on the phone and they were very good at helping me find the best offer and switching.
Anonymous
MY contract is a sim only that is £20 a month. I think it's a very good deal as I get unlimited texts, unlimited calls and 30GB of data, I was originally on a phone contract offer however I found the sim only one to be a better deal as I don't really need a new phone. I spoke to the people at virgin and they were very helpful and informative with what would be the best deal. They also offered me a bonus with 2 months into my contract of upgrading my phone which makes it an even better deal.
Anonymous
Very good contract that is not only affordable but gives me everything I need - 100 mins, Unlimited texts and 5gb data/month. Not to mention the awesome monthly rollover for unused data from the previous month, sublime!
Anonymous
Good price for the contract bundle and good flexibility. Terrible phone signal and increase the prices without letting you know.

Great mobile coverage, never have an issue using my mobile data. I recently got a new iPhone after my original broke and received great customer service from Virgin both online and over the phone. I didn't have the best credit but when I explained my situation they put my application through so that I could get the contract/phone I wanted.

Excellent coverage and network. Do roll over for data so I always have way more than I need. Get coverage absoloutely everywhere and a really decent price too! Definitely recommend it!
Anonymous
I enjoy this network, which provides great deals and I enjoy that if your family shares the same network then it is free phone calls which is nice.

Mostly have been with Virign! Hardly had any problems and if you do they're quick to fix it. When I was going to leave the service in the past they've given me really good deal so it's defo worth ringing up and asking! Only thing I've had more trouble with is service and data abroad.

Super affordable pay monthly contracts for the latest phones. Many extra perks such as roll over data, free wifi in many locations, data free social media messaging! All this is amazing especially as a student. The network it self is realiable and fast. There are times where the connection is low but it is a rare ocassion. Customer service can be variable! Overall, would reccomend.

Really nice. Price and quality wise. Recently bought the pay monthly package was basically a phone contract which is 24 month long. First off the deal that I got was really amazing unlimited everything and 100 go data which is a lot. Then the icing on the cake was the price of the contract. I have been searching a lot but I couldn't find a Better deal. Truest amazing. Coming towards the service. The device is amazing the 4g is cnonnectivity is always provide.

great service coverage, always get useful alerts, customer service is incredible, the employees are very polite and patient with difficult problems.

My 12 month SIM offers me free data when using social media apps and also data roll over, which I find really helps me out in the next month. A few thousand calls and texts, which is basically unlimited for me! Really great value for money.

Virgin Mobile had provided great customer service skills especially after I lost my phone they cancelled my contract and sent me a new sim with the same number so that I didn't have to change it. The phone plan itself is great with rollover data so if I don't use my data limit for the month I can keep it for next month.

The perks offered in my monthly plan are very good and completely worth it e.g 40GB data, unlimited texts and unlimited minutes. However the data is very slow and lags during the day especially during time when I need it the most. However, the quality of coverage when calling is manageable and good enough especially when I am in a place where it is likely to be very low. Overall the cost of my contract is worth it as I am a student and do not want to have to pay a big amount each month

Outages are rare, signal coverage is great, and the price is extremely good for the amount of data and minutes I get. The free WiFi on the tube is also a big plus!
Anonymous
Good coverage in my village, where I normally get little to no reception. Pretty good pricing for contracts aswell.

Overall Virgin is a very good mobile provider - when phoning up customer services they are usually very friendly and willing to help in any way they can. One example of this was when I received a new sim and was told it would take a day for it to start working, I needed credit fast as I was out all day and it was essential that I could contact people via text, phone, or Internet messaging. The man who I spoke to when calling up Virgin very kindly put £5 credit on to my sim card which saved me a lot of trouble that day. One thing I would say however is that I have very bad signal in certain areas, especially at home which isn't great as sometimes texts don't come through for hours and sometimes these are texts alerting me of missed calls. Overall though Virgin is a great mobile network to be on.
Anonymous
I was given a very good offer with a new phone too. I didn't have to pay a deposit and I receive the phone 2 days later.
Anonymous
Good service with good connectivity almost everywhere I go. Don't have any reasons to complain with a good deal on how much data I receive and how much I pay.
Anonymous
They're customer service is very efficient and they offer excellent prices. However, in busy places, especially central London, the signal can be dodgy. Still, I'd definitely recommend them as they offer fantastic deals.
Anonymous
Great service good amount of data and minutes for what I'm paying never been without 4g like other networks
Anonymous
Contract is inexpensive. Just £12 a month for 12G data, 2500 minutes, and unlimatided text. Great value for money. With great coverage.
Anonymous
Great network provider which lets you carry on unnised data to the following month, but after the 2nd month it's wiped clean so you have to save up data again. Great coverage and with the app you can use WiFi hotspots throughout the country to help save data. Overall great value for money.
Anonymous
Phone signal is great, coverage nearly everywhere I've been to, even in the middle of nowhere, 4g signal is just as good and very speedy connection.

I have never experienced any problems with Virgin Mobile the customer service is open for long hours and they are helpful when needed. I have been with Virgin Mobile for 5 years.
Anonymous
Excellent service. Got a great data package of 20GB for a very affordable price. Rarely have any issues with coverage and there is access to the Virgin Mobile App letting me see exactly how much data, how many minutes and texts I have left. Can't imagine changing providers any time soon
Anonymous
I have found that the service and 3G accessibility is almost always accessible. The customer service is good when I have had to approach them.
Anonymous
Unlimited texts, 2500 mins and 8GB data for £12/month. Data rollover is good, I usually have 12GB at the start of each month. The app is useful to track your usage, although Virgin sometimes give you unwanted phone calls to try and sell you things, which is annoying. Have had issues with EU roaming not working in the past, leading to call centre phone calls while on holiday.
Anonymous
I have an amazing plan of 6 GB for £10 a month! It is all good! Although there could be more perks but that is my only problem with Virgin mobile!
Anonymous
The workers were helpful in store showing me what phone would work best for me, and what plan would work best with the chosen phone. The coverage is always good, and as I am often in Europe, the plan not charging for usage in the EU is also very beneficial. There are not many perks that come with choosing the network, apart from the free WiFi in certain places, however I have never found this beneficial and so this is a downfall of Virgin Mobile in comparison to other networks e.g. EE with cinema tickets, or 3 with constant freebies and presales.
Anonymous
I love how the data I don't use gets rolled over to my next months contract. I feel as not many providers advertise this so I was very happy when Virgin told me they did have data rollover. I am also very happy with the price of my contract relating to the price.
Anonymous
As a foreigner, it was difficult to get the SIM in the first place. Later on, though, all the services were perfect. The customer service was always of high quality and the staff attentive to me. The coverage is also good.
Anonymous
I like that I get data roll over as some months I do not use all my data. I don't really have any bad comments
Anonymous
Great peaks of being on virgin mobile with the package options only downside is in some areas of the country the 4g/3g doesn't work well.
Anonymous
Virgin has great mobile phone service that is strong is most areas. The customer service is of a very high standard as they adjusted mobile plans to meet my needs. Their plans are also very good value and include 4G.
Anonymous
Virgin Mobile is very good value for money, and a reliable provider where I very have a problem with connecting to service or internet. The tracking app you can download to your phone is accurate and the text reminders are very useful.

Been with Virgin Mobile for about 2 years. I jumped over from GiffGaff as Virgin had better deals. I'm a light data user having wifi coverage at at home and at my place of study so the £6 deal suited my needs. Unused data ca be rolled over to the next month and using Whatsapp doesn't eat into your data allowance. Network coverage is good since it uses the EE network. I've had no problems with them yet. I haven't tried international roaming since I haven't travelled abroad for the past few years so cannot speak about that.
Anonymous
Great deal and excellent rollover. Didn't expect that much data to be rolled over. Pleasantly surprised! :)
Anonymous
Excellent service all over the country. Brilliant 4G connection majority of the time. I have a really good date package for a really low price meaning my bill is always the same
Anonymous
I have been with this company for quite a few years now and right now I wouldn't consider leaving, due to the rewards they give you for being a loyal customer and it is easy enough to swap between different deals based on what you need from your contract.
Anonymous
Really good service, always high speed with 4 students living in the same flat, and was easy to get it set up and delivered.
Anonymous
I bought my iPhone 8 Plus during a deal costing £44 a month. This included the phone, unlimited calls and texts and 40gb of data per month plus 20gb from rollover.
Anonymous
For the monthly payment of £15, i get unlimited calls and texts as well as 25GB data which is a lot cheaper compared to other mobile providers. However, the 3G can sometimes be a bit hit and miss. Overall, i would recommend virgin mobile to anyone who needs high amounts of data for a low price
Anonymous
I get more data and everythingn but theyve put child restrictions on facebook articles ican look at. Im 20?
Anonymous
I've not had any issues since joining Virgin Mobile. As a Virgin Media customer at home, I was offered a sim only contract which I could not refuse. I had 20 GB of data which rolls over if I don't use it, which means it never ends. The signal is always great - of course there are some places where signal is not the best but this is to be expected.
Anonymous
Good coverage almost everywhere. Virgin now with EE so data rollover really helps with value for money. Overall cost of contact cheaper than other vendors for price of phone and pay monthly.
Anonymous
Extremely cheap and value for money. They have excellent coverage whereever i am. Due to the plan i am, i dont ever need to worry about switching to wifi as when would one spend 200gb data in a single month.
Anonymous
The quality of the service is extraordinary and so are the features Reason i gave it a 3 three star is because of the poor customer service It could definitely be improved easily but someome needs to pay attention towards it
Anonymous
The phone company is good and provides great network service, the only downfall is you can't change the name on your contract without losing it and having to get a new one.
Anonymous
Good mobile phone provider. Reasonable price per month and good value package included. Only issue is network signal can be poor in places.
Anonymous
Virgin provides good coverage most of the time, and great deals for 4G. Would be great if network coverage for WiFi were extended to more remote areas as I live in the countryside and would like my WiFi to be on virgin too! Very good value for money.
Anonymous
Decent monthly rate but lose signal a lot and customer service is poor. Was with for 24 months and trued to upgrade online but had issues so I went in store they did not have a clue what they were doing.
Anonymous
Main benefit is a cheap contract with all the basics - decent data allowance and early upgrade options for the price you pay. Network coverage is also average. Main issue for me is lack of ability to customise your plan based on your needs, and I have also run into problems several times when changing my SIM - takes a long time to be activated. A call to customer services usually sorts things out but this can be slow
Anonymous
The deal i was offered was perfectly suited to me and great value for money. After buying my phone separately it was easy to set up my sim and arrange for my number to be transferred. The roll over property of my contract helps ensure my bill never goes over and that i am getting the most out of my money.
Anonymous
Service is always moderate and my data plan is highly recommended. Only paying just below £7 a month and I always get enough data every month. the rollover is a great idea as wifi is available where I currently am everywhere so the data that I don't use roll-over to the next month which means I have more data to use.
Anonymous
Very cheap and reliable - I never have had any problems at all with this network, theres service available wherever ago. It's also very cheap (I pay just over £10 for unlimited texts, calls and 4GB data).
Anonymous
Best part of the plan is that any data gets rolled over to keep. Unlimited texts and many minutes. Good service.
Anonymous
I changed from 3 last year when my phone contract ended but my phone was still in condition. I have absolutely no regrets as I am paying1/3rd of the price and I get better signal! Only thing that would make it better is having WiFi call as when I'm at my parents I have no signal! Love the data rollover
Anonymous
The internet is so slow in the night. I have 4g, I have to continue to refresh my internet, turn it off and off, just wished the connection was better.
Anonymous
Good network. Has the mobile app to keep track which is very useful, and an option to limit how much you go over your contract every month. Customer service is not too bad. No perks
Anonymous
Virgin have been excellent in providing a great price for a long term customer. They have been helpful in helping me sort my package when my phone was stolen and provide good data perks.
