Eon's customer service was brilliant from the moment we signed up. This year me and my flatmate wanted to stay away from splitting companies specifically because we knew they charged way too much, with Eon they haven't only made it affordable, but with the fitted smart meter we can track what we are using and how we are using our electricity. It makes us a lot more concious as students and a lot more secure as we have the full breakdown of our useage to tamper with and adjust the direct debit forthcoming online, on our account.

When moving into my house the energy supplier was already set up as EON. I went on a price comparison website and found a cheaper deal with EON so phoned up but they said I couldn't change over because EON and EON (online) are different. However, I phoned back again later in the weekend and they said I just had to apply through the comparison site and it would automatically switch it over which happened exactly like they said. Good prices if you find a deal (bit pricy otherwise) and they have a really user friendly app where you can supply meter readings, check usage (and how much you have used of different things) etc. Overall really good service and friendly support.

Easy and efficient payment process Kept well informed of any changes to the account Rates comparable with other utility companies Their customer service is not the best, often takes a long time to get through on the phone and get put through to multiple different people before you speak to the correct department.

Customer service was quick and efficient, both with setting up and closing my account. The bills were always received by post AND by email which was handy, and the tariff was reasonably priced as well.

I have been with Eon for the past two years in my student flat. I am extremely happy with the service they provide. Firstly, they are incredibly patient and helpful over the phone. For a student who had never deal with bills, the task was daunting. However, their customer service team was very detailed in the answers they provided and gave me all the time I needed. Secondly, and most importantly, halfway through last year Eon realised we were being overcharged by our contract. Instead of continuing to charge us the previously agreed upon £42 per month, they reduced our bills to £9 per month for the rest of the year. This was because our overpayments were spilt over to the following months. This made me very happy to be with Eon as I knew we were not being scammed or cheated on. I would recommend Eon to anyone!

Very easy to view account and really good money for dual fuel. The staff on the phone are Very helpful and well mannered. Very welcoming energy provider when switching from another energy provider.

Eon customer service has been awful, practically every time I call them regarding anything they are extremely unhelpful, I have been lied to, I have waited on hold for 30 minutes to them be almost immediately hung up on! This is not to say that I haven't encountered some lovely and helpful people, it's just a shame there arent more of them! Furthermore the online website is really badly designed! It is awful to navigate, especially when using mobile and additionally it doesn't seem to be possible to give them an online meter reading without them generating me a bill. I tried to do this a couple of months ago and it generated me a bill for up to that day and so i ended up having to pay 1 and a half months at once (it would only let me pay the full total amount online).

Although it's relatively pricey for a student house, EON has been absolutely fantastic. They have an easily accessed online system where our usage can be tracked and the bill altered, and they update us monthly by email on when our bill is due and what we can do to improve our usage and get the most out of our tariff. They're also incredibly easy to pay - a simple direct debit, taken monthly. They were the best for value when we were hunting for providers, and I would definitely recommend them and use them again, if only for their customer and online services.

Really good, they re-evaluates our monthly payments to make sure we were paying the least after we submitted our second meter readings and they worked out our average spending.
