Took a long time to be properly installed. Once this was done continually cut out. Although we are receiving a refund it was very disruptive. As well as this it is not that fast and often still cuts out.

When things go well, they are great. However, when things go wrong they are terrible at responding. We had an issue where we were left without internet, after calling up they said that they would come and have a look at our box to see if everything is okay. I took a day off of work to wait in for them, for then no one to show up. After calling them again, they said on their notes there was no answer which is in fact not true. In the end, we had been left almost a month with no internet, they refunded us a small amount for the inconvenience but I still do not think this was enough.

I have enjoyed virgin media over any other internet provider as they are more reliable and they don't cut the internet speed randomly. It allows me to do my work etc on time with no delays. The download speed isn't overly impressive but it gets it done no problems every time.

Great speeds when it works however very expensive and you have to return the equipment after you finish your contract. Quite unreliable, speeds drop at peak hours quite a lot.

Customer service is awful. However even though its a slightly more expensive option the speed is quick. If the equipment is faulty they do try to replace it as quick as possible

The speed of my internet is meant to be rather good however this is not the case, sometimes the internet doesn't even work. However whenever I call to cancel they always offer me an upgrade which I can never say no to at the price however it doesn't seem to Change my issues that much.

Very good service, cheap and reliable. I live in a house with 9 others and the speed is generally consistently good. Much faster and better service than Sky.

Internet connection was inconsistent at best. We often had to spend hours on the phone to get a response, and rarely was a fix provided.

i have the 350mb bb and whenever i have to download any game even if it is around 50gb to 70gb i can very easily have it done in around 30 to 40 mins anytime of the day and no matter how many people are on it.

Good value for money considering theres 5 people with multiple devices, it's fast when it does work however a lot of the time it will randomly stop working for 5-10 minutes which is very inconvenient when trying to get uni work done! has also been multiple occassions where it is down for a full day for maintenance. although we get given warning its also very annoying and inconvenient.

The speed of the WiFi is good, however the service is atrocious. The reliability of the internet is very poor and the customer service is obscene. I have yet to find a broadband provider who increases the monthly phone bill whilst knowing that the landline hasn't been used in months ( and has subsequently been cut off) due to being unable to pay the ridiculously expensive phone bill, and yet virgin media still charges for not actually using the phone, and when you call them up to question them, they keep coming up with lies about backdated bills. I am just waiting now for the contract to be over to change providers.

Good value for money, very fast works well with streaming websites such as Netflix and YouTube. Great packages especially for PlayStation users with phone and game packages.

I would recommend virgin media due to it being a fast broadband, tv service is great with all catchup and other apps, all easy to set up and connect too. However, when downstairs far from the WiFi rota it is very slow at loading things and can cut off sometimes so you have to try and reconnect. Also we have had issues without catch up that is says error and won't always connect. 7/10 I would give

Virgin media has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. When signing up they promised me all these offers which I later found out didn't exist and had to pay them buckets of money. I cancelled my contact after being with them 6 weeks. Speed of the internet was good and phone was fine but TV channel range is veryyyy limited. Don't expect them to solve any of your problems though, customer service assistants as well as managers are rude and unhelpful. They basically lied to get me to sign up to virgin and later denied ever offering any such things.

We have a VIVID 100 fibre broadband for 29 pounds a month. It has enough speed for watching movies for 4 people, however very often, especially on the weekends, internet access disappears, forcing us to reload the router multiple times to get it back up. It is not clear what causes this, and how to fix this, but we know from asking people also using virgin that we are not the only ones. I would not recommend it for people whose job rely on internet not failing every hour. Otherwise, the speed is satisfactory both for browsing, watching or downloading.

The speed can be slow and sometimes doesn't work at all. This leads to having to turn the box on and off. It is good for money though so I can't complain too much. And when the WiFi works it is fast.

We are a student house of 5 people and have the virgin media student package. We have never had a problem with the reliability and the download speed is excellent - even with all 5 of us using it at once. Very easy set up and reasonably priced.

We have a student contract so signed up when it was as cheap as possible with a good deal for speed. For me it is fast, however, it does not reach some rooms due to the walls even if the router is close. We have called many times to sort this, sometimes staff are helpful, other are not. Sometimes the router would stop working and we have to reset it.

For me, the speed is fast, however for the other tenants the speed is slow due to the walls and the wifi boosters do not help much. We have called many times to sort this out and get advice, some staff are helpful and some are not at all. The wifi tends to go off every now and then meaning we have to reset it a lot.

Customer service is always excellent with Virgin, however the broadband we have in our house isn't always reliable - we often have to reboot the rooter, which subsequently means extenders are offline for a fair while. That being said when the broadband is working it is always a fantastic service; fast, reliable and efficient. It is also a good price.

Had virgin media whilst I was house-sharing at university. Was quick and easy to install - an engineer came almost immediately after purchasing the plan to set it up. Internet stretched perfectly over a three story house once we had the booster. Internet speed was fast, and we got the deal with the television set too which was also good. Will be purchasing again for next year!

On average virgin media are a good broadband provider. We live in a student flat and it doesn't slow despite the amount of devices connected to it. However it doesn't have the best coverage as we need a WiFi extender so that we can reach the WiFi in every room. The only problem we have had with this broadband is when virgin media went down back in October and we couldn't access the internet for around a day.

We pay for the top speed and package and which is about 350bmps but in the room across we only get 50. We also pay for 2 extra boosters which make it worse! Shocking customer service who have never come out to us to try and sort the problem. For the first month we were without WiFi's altogether.

Easy to set up via the phone, someone came to set up the box very quickly. WiFi signal doesn't extend the length of my tiny flat so have to use an extender.

The signal is great on the first floor but unfortunately is weaker on the ground floor. When I contacted the customer service line they said I'd need a booster which I have to pay extra for!

When the Wifi was working the speed was fine. Unfortunately most of the time you couldn't diagnose any problem with the Wifi box or connection but the pages just would not load. You would just have to wait it out until they started loading again. We got the impression that they gave students very intermittent connection but did not leave any evidence of this as diagnostics were all fine. The wifi did not reach very far at all. When I called up to talk about both of these issues I spent pretty much the whole morning in the queue THEN when I got through to someone they couldn't resolve my problem themselves, told me they would put me on hold. I WAS ON HOLD FOR 25 MINUTES when I realised that they weren't coming back and were probably having their lunch or something. Morning wasted, I was furious. DON'T get fooled by the flashy broadband speeds and low prices there is no point in having a high download speed if 40% of the time the Wifi doesn't connected to the internet. Although we got a £50 Nandos voucher I would recommend going to Sky for more reliable service. We are happy with Sky now.

Good connection, however got sent multiple routers and had to buy a landline which never turned up. Customer service was good, value for money was good. Speed was fine but couldn't withstand the advertised amount of people.

Generally they are very good and the internet is not bad considering we have about 16 devices on the standard WiFi. However sometimes they do shut down without warning anyone and there are moments at which it can get extremely slow- it has definitely been slower on our second year with them than the first. The customer service can also be a bit trying. However overall the service is good.

The speed of Virgin Media's broadband service is brilliant at times, where I can receive up to 50Mbps, however, the reliability of this is less consistent. There have been a few times a year where the connection will completely drop, and the household would be without the connection for a few hours, and once we were out of service for a whole week! Customer service seems to mostly be good, but could definitely be better. At times, we would have issues, and the engineer would not be avaiable until the next day. The deal we receive is broadband, tv service and phone line. For the price, it can be expensive, around £80 per month, however compared to Sky, seems to be better value for money.

Generally quite good, difficult to get signal to reach top floors of old houses with concrete walls. Value for money; very similar to most other companies. There was a perk on offer via the student hut which ended up not working, something that I believe to be common. Although not virgin's fault, not ideal to advocate a £100 gift voucher to then not be able to claim it.

Virgin media has got to be one of the best broadband providers you can be offered. The speed of the top package boxes are brilliant, I can receive the same amount of speed on my networking products from wherever in the house without any problems and all works the same speed which is very fast

Started out very reliable including fast set up. This was about six months ago, however the last 2/3 have been appalling. I am a student living in a student house with 6 other people, we purchased the most expensive package to ensure all of us could connect and stream at the same time if we wanted too. We have complained this week to ask why it has suddenly become an issue. Virgin are always good with customer service and do always have good student packages on, however I am very disappointed with my current situation

Virgin media offers reliable Internet. I have used them for over 4 years and they have attended to all our needs. We have had to purchase a WiFi extender as the signal was not strong enough for the whole flat. We have also had the router replaced free of charge as it s occasionally going offline.

In comparison to other providers, virgin did the best student deal in terms of price and quality. Although not having any problems for the first year, it has become problematic this year and cuts out regularly with long intervals where there is no WiFi in the house.

Customer service when setting up an account, choosing a plan and choosing a self-installation delivery date was very good and an overall smooth experience, originally only expected 300Mbps internet speed but was informed that they offered a minimum of 350Mbps at the price point I was looking at, the internet speed I actually get (over ethernet or very good WiFi when close to the router) is a minimum of 350Mbps a rated average of about 360-370Mbps and I often get download speeds of about 400Mbps assuming whatever I'm downloaded doesn't have its speed bottle-necked by the website I'm downloading it from, however this normally isn't an issue as the speeds I get are still ridiculously fast and the bottle-necking tends to only happen on smaller downloads. The only thing I would like to be different is to have more admin controls over the network traffic through the router but the features I'd like to have are fairly rare even on high-end network equipment and requires fairly in-depth knowledge of what you're doing so I'm not surprised that features such as bandwidth allocation aren't available on the router provided. The package I got was the Fibre 350 one and it also includes a Tivo V6 freeveiw box at no extra cost. Overall a very good internet service provider.

Best fastest Broadband. In my opinion the best thing about virgin media is that they provide outstanding fast fibre optic broadband as mine is 100 mega bites per second which allows me to play my play station 4 online competitive games at a fast pace without any lag.

After 2 years of superb service from Virgin media during my time at University, the download and upload speeds are always stable and reliable. It is definitely worth the money! Virgin media has not broken down once and the router is well built. During moments of large downloads, the speeds have not affected my other house mates and they are still able to stream videos and such.

The WiFi speed is generally good and it isn't hugely affect when multiple devices are connected to it, however the connection range is very poor, and living in a small house where the WiFi doesn't connect from an upstairs room to a downstairs room, it can make simple tasks like using a laptop or phone in the kitchen/living area more hassle than it should be. I have previously used BT broadband and that has definitely had a wider range than what this virgin broadband has With out this issue, it would be a 4*, and an increased broadband speed would make the system 5*.

The speed of virgin media wifi is slow if you are more than 10-15 yards away, signal upstairs in my home is very weak and i often have to use my mobile hotspot. One time we got an engineer in to fix the problem of the speed, the engineer was rude and the problem was fixed for a maximum of 2 weeks. It is good value for money with the TV and broadband package but if you were doing these two seperate i would chose a different broadband supplier.

Virgin is a really good provider for students, you don't have to wait for someone to come and set up the WiFi, especially when it's the beginning of the academic year and really busy, because there is self set up. The only downside is that despite getting the deal for a lot of devices as I am in a house of 8, I have had to get a WiFi extender. On the whole virgin is affordable.

Unreliable internet which cuts at random times and the customer service is awful. They overcharge and upgrade my subscription without my consent or permission, and I am not contacted to be informed that this has occurred. I am intending on changing broadband provider due to numerous incidents.

The best broadband company out there as we've changed more than three times in the last ten years. Excellent customer service with the flexibility to change your package as according to your financial situation, since they don't want their customers to walk away. Wifi is decent for our family of 7 with high internet usage and gaming, etc. Sometimes a bit slow during peak hours but it's hardly noticeable. Only downside might be if you don't live in a virgin covered network area your wifi might be considerably slower.

First of all the actual broadband is perfect. Really can't fault them on the service they provide. I get a constant 100mbps download speed (it's just me in my flat), which constantly runs my Apple Home system, ps4 gaming, smart TV and general wifi use on my iPhone and MacBook. HOWEVER. Their customer service is literally the worst. It's almost impossible to speak to anybody to get anything sorted, and when you do, it's a chore for them to help and few times they just hung up on me after a few hours of being on the phone. Their engineers who installed my wifi are also useless, and didn't even try to use common sense in installing my broadband connection. If it hadn't been for my amazing landlords, they would have left and refused to install it. Despite this, i got a good deal on my broadband, got a free crate of wine which is always nice, and got a free landline connection. Overall i'm happy with my Virgin as my broadband provider- i just hope that i don't come across any further issues!

I am currently a second year student at university, and share a house with 4 other people. We decided to get virgin as it seemed to have the best deal out of all the other broadbands. I pay £9 a month (£45 for the house) and get a reasonable connection. From time to time I have experienced very slow wifi and sometimes even having to use my 3G in order to get a connection. Overall it's not bad for its price but personally I think that there are better broadbands out there.

Very good service, the app is very useful as well because you can pick up free WiFi hotspots around the country and it tells you where to find them. Sometimes the WiFi cuts out but it is soon solved quickly and efficiently. Virgin media is a very good company and I would definitely recommend using them as a broadband provider. I have given 4 stars just because there have been some issues with internet connection from time to time, but like I said these problems are soon fixed.

Although I think this broadband provider is a bit pricey, it has excellent service and is extremely reliable. In my house there is next to no phone signal but the broadband is very fast and without it I would really struggle streaming anything or even receiving messages and so on.

There was a package deal on offer when we signed up which was great. Internet is patchy throughout the house and cuts out occasionally so not great for reliability. But, when it is working, speed is fine. Sometimes calls to customer service can take a long time (being put on hold a lot or bounced to different people.

Before being upgraded, the broadband was very unreliable. It rarely lasted more than a few minutes before you had to shut off the router and reconnect. Living with 5 other people, we needed something that was more reliable. After a few phone calls to the friendly helpline we got an upgrade which is far better. It still uas it's moments of slowness but overall a reasonable reliable broadband.

As this is my third year In study I have genrally trusted virgin media to provide good quality broadband which they do most of the time. The down sides to it I would say is the option to end the contract early especially if you are a student who comes to the end of their tenancy. Also in a large house the broadband does not tend to be as strong when distributed amongst devices.

The speed of the internet is extremely slow, and that's when it's working. It switches off most of the time and stops me from being able to work from my house. However, when it decides to work it does load websites and sometimes allows you to watch and stream videos.

The internet speed varies and can't handle downloading small files. Sometimes it doesn't even work. The perks are not that good and the customer service is awful as you are directed to some indian fella called "Dave" and if you complain enough you will get put through to someone who's first language is English.

First, I'll starty off by saying that Virgin Media speeds are awesome. Virgin Media offers a credit option that allows you to build up 2 months of bills before you're expected to pay if you choose the Pay Online option. You are only required to pay the last bill of the two to restore your services if you are unable to pay the bill for one month. This is great for anyone who may have financial diffulties or are self employed. The service has 24/7 Technical support which is awesome but the billing team is only avalible Mon-Fri so try to be ontop of your bill or call before the weekend if a bill is due and you need a little more time to pay it. The service has failed about 2-3 times in the 4 years that I've been with them and three places that I've lived. Virgin Media has always done their best to resolve any issues and their automatic bot seems to fix a few before the agent even answers the phone. I'd reccomend Virgin Media to anyone because of it's speed, reliablity and it's agent avaliblity.

I've been quite satisfied with the speed of the broadband internet I get but lately, it's been rather slow. The prices are fairly high for the speed we get. Paying around forty pounds a month for 6.85 Mbps is very slow therefore I've thought of changing the broadband provider. My Internet connection should be able to handle one device at a time streaming a video. If multiple devices are using this connection at the same time, I run into some congestion which is highly unpleasant. Another problem with this broadband is the time it took for the provider to install it in my flat. I waited between 2 and 3 months.

They get you at first with their deals and high internet speeds but then when your deal ends they charge you a ridiculous amount and late fees if you don't have a direct debit and you miss it. I'm changing soon.

Installation was quick and the customer service was excellent. We were also offered a discount on our bill for recommending to a friend. However, we often find that the speed can be relatively slow or that we cannot connect to the Wi-Fi at all and we have a child lock on the Wi-Fi that we can't remove which isn't ideal.

Great that they're one of the few broadbands that provide 9 month student contracts, however you are not warned that you have to cancel the contract and that the cancellation takes 30 days and therefore you need to pay for another month. Connection is also slow regardless of there if there is 1 device connected or 10.

Okay first off I am changing ISP from virgin to Zen internet because of customer service and ping times and the overall service. I am not keen on the customer service from virgin but being a cable customer for about 10 years it is time for a change. The internet connection from virgin is fine it self for me with WiFi dropping though and the super hub 3 is pants. Anyways the customer service from Zen is much better in my experience which is what I experienced personally when compared to virgins customer service. 3 stars because the broadband is fine and satisfactory but 2 less due to rubbish customer service.

We've had Virgin WiFi in our student house with few problems. Occasionally it will stop working but after a reset usually kicks in again. Its never stopped working fit longer than an hour or two. Its a bit slow for streaming things like Netflix when 3+ of us are trying to use it at once but generally its good for the day to day. No real complaints

The actual broadband was great and never faulted for us at our house last year. I never had to switch to my own internet on my phone which I was grateful for. However, their customer service angered me greatly. When it came to our cancelling our contract they extended it without telling us from a 9 month contract to a 12 month contract. They then informed me that although this had happened, they couldn't give me a refund for our money. I was furious. We paid 13 months worth of broadband although, we were no longer living at our address.

Virgin Media is a good provider in terms of coverage and speed. However, on a yearly basis the company rise the price. I have started on 18 monthly payment and end up paying 24 within 3 years' time. Automatically the price of current customer plan increases without any reason and without adding any value to its service/product. Customer service could also improve. For example, different departments do not seem to be on the same policy page and most of the time advise customer with different information. When being transferred through various department , each time customers have to go through security questions.

My flatmates and I have been using Virgin Media as our internet provider for two years in student houses. I haven't had any reason to complain so far. Virgin Media internet is very fast & since living in my house for the past 5 months, it has not cut out once which I am very happy about. We signed up on an offer of £27 a month but when we saw the contract online (After the deal had been finalised) we saw we were getting charged extra. We had to ring up and chase Virgin Media several times until the price got updated to the original £27 we had been promised. I would say they need to update their account section on their website & also have more online chat operators to help out on situations like this. Having to ring is very annoying. & time consuming.

We opted for the 100mps fibre optic broadband package. Speeds were not initially as promised, although after calling they were happy to help us to reach the best speeds we could get. Customer services can be a pain, it can take a long time to get through at some times the day, and the hold music is enough to drive you insane. Though, overall the service is positive and they offer decent price packages. I would recommend. Set-up was easy to follow, download speeds are decent. It's a shame they don't offer 9 month packages for students, as this would have been more ideal and we had to sign up for 12 months and will have to cancel early, though this is consistent across most suppliers.

Unfortunately that's becoming less and less often and good luck if you have to call with a fault: be prepared for endless repetition in a pointless 2 hour plus phone call with no rectification of the problem and much frustration on your part. Internet speed is extremely fast and pretty reliable, with us having no issues with losing connection as of yet. It is also fairly good value for money purely due to the fact that the broadband speed is so quick and reliable. The only issue we have had with the broadband is that our router doesn't always cover all areas of the house, for example the kitchen right at the back of house can sometimes drop out of range. admittedly this may have something to do with the shape of the flat we live in rather than the connection. Virgin has been helpful in trying to solve this issue for the most part, but the only solution so far has been to buy a booster, which is not ideal as it is an extra fee for us. Overall however I would highly recommend this broadband provider as their broadband is extremely fast and reliable.

The speed of the internet is great, and it's very reliable. It's also very reasonable price wise (just remember to cancel your contract every year, and put it in someone else's name so your flat gets the best deal!) In fact, the only problem I have with Virgin Media is their staff and customer service. It is very difficult to contact them, and when you do they don't always follow through on what they say. When trying to get my broad band installed earlier this year I booked an appointment for an engineer to come out via their website. The day comes around and no one shows - turns out they'd rebooked and not bothered to tell me, which wouldn't have been so bad but unfortunately as a student, who also works, I can't hang around my flat all day (I wish!) After numerous attempts at contacting them through online chat, and via the phone it ended up that the appointment was rescheduled 4 different times because of their mistakes, meanwhile we did not have internet for almost 3 weeks! The staff were incredibly rude over the phone and blamed us for all the errors... although they did have to apologise in the end when we produced email proof that we did book on the original date we said. Eventually we did get it installed and it has worked perfectly ever since (although the engineer cut one of the wires very short so now rather than sitting on top of our tv stand it has to go underneath - but I am not going through another phonecall saga for about 30cm of cable so it'll have to do!)

You will need an extender, the signal drops a lot even with virgin tv. There are a lot of technical issues regularly which you have to call in order to get reimbursed for. They will never call you even when they know issues exist and they don't offer any quick options for fixing.

We have the VIVID 350 and in our area we get up to 450Mbps even though it says up to 350Mbps. The speed is insane. However their customer support is terrible. They can't help even if you explain what is happening. The reliability of their broadband depends, sometime it can become really slow for no reason but it fixes itself afterwards. I would say that our bundle was worth the price. For such insane speed, we only pay £49.

Virgin Media provided us initially with a new customer deal that got us 50mbps speed at £32.99 a month. Over the first 6 months of the contract they boosted our speed to 200mbps for no extra cost which meant we we were more than happy to stay with Virgin again. The speed rarely goes below 180mbps and while there is the occasional dropout of connection, it usually comes back within a couple of minutes. Once the first year ended, the bill was going to go up significantly so I rang and they were more than happy to try and sort out the best deal for us to stay with them. Really good customer service and a reliable broadband choice. It's a shame that their fibre needs a connection that is not yet available everywhere as I would happily use them again if I could.

Set-up with ease as previous host already had installed cabling. This saved me some money so was worth checking. Speed wws great with only one downage which was corrected over the weekend with engineers sent out asap. Also had good start up incentive the previos year with a £50 shopping voucher.

I signed up in September 2018. The speed of my broadband should be around 50mb but to my surprise most of the time it id considerably lower, and Virgin media makes the whole building share this connection meaning that the speed is never 50 and not what we paid for at all! Its very unreliable with several days having no connections due to area issues and it really isn't value for money. Customer service however is friendly and they try to tackle issues as soon as they can.

Very impressed when we got the virgin media WiFi as they offered a great student deal, although we soon found that this doesn't apply in your second year of using it so we have to pay more this year, it would be helpful if they were to warn us of this and perhaps have another offer to suggest as we are still students! Also the WiFi reliability hasn't been great, very hit and miss, but it isn't too bad when you're connected to it and not many people are on it at the same time (although hard when you live with lots of people.

It was the cheapest price deal I found and seems to be the most popular among students (that I know anyway). However I find the connection really bad on my phone and have to use my 4g most of the time. It works usually works on my laptop though so I'm not sure what the issue is there. I know it isn't my phone because other people have also had the same issue. So basically if you're looking for a cheap deal Virgin Media is the way to go but if you're looking for something reliable and fast then maybe look elsewhere.

I have Fiber optic services with Virgin Media and I have rarely had any trouble with speed or connection. My connection was lost just once and I phoned a helpline and received helpful advice and my connection was restored shortly after. The internet speed is very fast and I am able to stream TV and films whilst also having a smooth connection whilst playing video games online.

I have Virgin Media Internet provider, second year in a row but different house each year. Last year, it was okey with speed but sometimes broadband would do some works and didn't inform us, therfore we were left without internet for 2-3 days. In the house I live now, the speed is really bad. It's somehow okey for the Xbox, but not for my laptop or phone. I sometimes can't do video calls as I can't hear properly what person is talking about on the other side. Netflix won't loar time to time and it's infuriating. But in the house next door, the internet is all good. Both of our houses have splitter as the internet won't cover the whole house. I have to use additional WiFi router to have Internet in my room. I don't recommend this broadband.

Was very fast, and reliable, just annoying having to wait a few weeks for when it is ready, and also having to post the box back. Bills are easy to do, and the few problems we had were solved pretty quickly. Would be good to state clearly about cancelling the broadband need to do it a month before and also have to cancel it after the 9/12 month contract otherwise it automatically rolls over.

Virgin promised us they'd have our internet ready soon after we moved in, if not before. They came a week after they said they would, and finally installed it. Two weeks later it all stops working, I rang up and they said I wasn't the account holder and wouldn't speak to me. Turns out they had installed the router meant for upstairs in our flat, and totally disregarded our order, despite me having proof of payment. So after around a month of no Internet and thousands of phone calls they finally set it up for us, and the router they give you is so bad we had to buy a new one just to have a functioning signal. It often disconnects for no reason and customer service are famously unhelpful.

The speed of the internet tends to be very fast when it works, although the connection and reliability vary. Sometimes the connection can just drop and the quality can become poor. I dislike the throttling of my download and upload speed during peak hour. I have been using the fibre high speed internet for the past 4 years and there have been an increase in price every year. Virgin media provide a fast Internet connection and download speed, however when this occurs is up to the wifi. What I mean by this is that the connection of virgin media is very inconsistent, some days it will be fine, but most are full of disconnections and interruptions for no apparent reason.

Also the fact that they offer the free WiFi on the go service meaning I can connect to millions of WiFi places through the Uk free of charge just for being a customer. The customer service is brilliant and always happy to help when I have a question. The overall cost for phone, broadband and tv is the perfect price for my budget. Unlike Sky who charged over the odds for a service that broadband was always slow, had to keep restarting the router and the movie channels where just the same all the time. Speed is fantastic on a good day. We pay for 300mbps but of course it never reaches full speed but rather 270 or lower. It's not very consistent so sometimes we only get around 80mbps, which is still fast but not exactly what we're paying for. If you're considering signing up with Virgin then it's probably best to start off with a smaller package otherwise you'll be spending extra money on speed you wont receive. The customer service is okay, takes a very long time to get through to them but once you do get to talk to them they can be helpful. Although sometimes if your issue is speed they have no idea what to do.

Customer service: Had problems when we first set it up, we couldn't get it to work by ourselves but it worked fine once we had someone fix it. I think it did cost extra though, probably £20. Value for money: Works out to be £10 each (£40 for the month). As a student, I'll want it cheaper but its good so no complaints. I do feel like there could be cheaper alternatives for the same package though. Perks: It doesn't come with any student/customer offers or any perks...that I know of.

My house mates and I have bee with Virgin Broadband since first year. when setting up an account and getting the box delivered they were very helpful when needing an deliver date. And where really helpful for when trying to get the best and cheapest deals When there were any problems with connections, we simply rang up and the customer service was always really friendly and helpful

Good internet with fast download. Slow upload, bad bandwidth and not reliable but I do not think that it is good for gamers as I lag all the time on Fifa. It is only good and reliable with an Ethernet cable but it is still poor. I would not recommend using virgin media as it isn't reliable

Expensive but very high speed and efficient, especially with a TV-broadband package. It's good for a number of students at the same time, works very well even if 5 people are streaming at the same time. But for smaller numbers, it's not as reasonably priced as it is between 4-6 students in one house (relatively big house).

Speed is often good for a house of 6 but a lot of times the speed will drop if all 6 people are using it. Works best if you a close to it.

The speed is good for London. The only problem i had recently with Virgin Media was a stability issue. My internet just dropped out of nowhere but luckily the wi fi i am using has dual band signal so i was able to get my connection going using the other band.

I have often experienced connectivity issues with virgin wifi, it will turn itself off or need rebooting very often which is inconvenient but when it is working its very good.

We received an excellent choice of perks when we signed up, from a Bose Bluetooth speaker to a Fitbit watch. We chose the speaker worth £150 and it's a great addition to our home. However, the value of money of the broadband could be improved. There are only two of us in the house yet to both use our laptops/ a laptop and the Apple TV at the same time, the speed is incredibly slow on one of the devices. When only one device is in use, the speed is excellent. I would recommend but do think it is slightly overpriced for the quality of speed.

The speed is very good and the service is constant. I have not had a problem in two years. Besides, it's really easy to install and have immediate wifi after moving into a property. I believe it's the best value for money broadband provider.

The internet speed is fast and able to handle over 7 devices at any time. Occasionally, the internet stops working which requires a reboot. It is very expensive and if there is another provider that can provide similar speed and cheaper, I would change.

Speed is usually quite good, and covers a house of 7 of us. When we've had problems, we've used a booster which has resolved them quickly, easily and cheaply.

Virgin is the Broadband WiFi that we have for our University house and it couldn't be more patchy! When we all first moved into our house of 7 it was fine for about a week, and then the patchiness began. It started cutting out mainly in the evening, this is understandable since it is the time when most of us are using the WiFi, however it is the most infuriating part as we pay for more than 15 devices I believe, and yet it still glitches! Even when only 2 people are In the house, it still can cut out sometimes and especially when connected to online TV services it stops working!!It is very frustrating and the last thing I should be worrying about as a student, I should be able to rely on large broadband companies to supply me with an affordable and dependable service, not have to spend time stressing.

I was not the happiest with this broadband provider. The internet goes down a lot, cutting out for long peiords of time. When we phone to ask they say turn it off and back on again which i know is bad and slows your speed down, and still doesn't fix it. The speed is okay when it is working but still not the best. In a flat with 3 people using it, it does struggle.

Virgin Media offers a great price per month for the service that we receive. The speed of the broadband is excellent; we recently upgraded our box and it is so much better. The service is usually very reliable and if there is ever a problem with it the customer service is quite helpful and respond quickly to any concerns we have. Last Thursday the network shut down and I couldn't use the internet for about 2 hours. The notice on the virgin media website said it would return in about 6 hours but it actually was sorted out much sooner which was very useful.

When it works it is good and fast but it always goes down or runs extremely slowly due to being told that virgin signed up too many customers in their area! Should not have signed up so many customers if they could not provide reliable broadband

The service is great. It was easy to set up. I had a few problems in the beginninh with my property but the people at Virgin Media provided all the help I needed and everything was sorted in one phone call.

Terrible on an evening, usually gets good when no one is in the house but usually quite slow. In a built up area so might be why but never experienced internet like this with virgin at my prior property. Overall im not really satisfied with the internet

Virgin media offer amazing quality internet, with speeds that exceed anything I've seen. Just for a regular connection I am looking at around 100mb/s which is great.

Customer service was friendly and helpful enough when I originally signed up for the broadband. The Internet speed tends to be ok, although when streaming catch up TV, buffering often occurs. The service has disappeared on a couple of occasions.

Purchased the 200mbps package. Strangely, speed is as advertised with download speeds hitting up to 25MB/s (1MB = 8mb) consistently. Down time is on the service is very rare, I have had two instances of downtime this year due to problems on their end. Payment is flexible and credit available up to £110 without loss of service. Only issue I found is their costumer support seems to try very hard to push extra stuff onto your package. I would say the 200mbps package is of average value. I definitely recommend this isp in the london area.

After complaining several times through various telephone conversation, I have no received a good service. However, originally I had very poor speed and reliability. They managed to increase my speed for free and had an engineer to check the connections at my appartment, which did the trick and has worked ever since. Although it shouldn't have taken so long to fix, e.i 6 months. Additionally, the tend to prewar of expected outages, which they should have originally done. Although still very expensive as I'm a student, just wanting fast, reliable internet.

The installation of the virgin media box was very quick and easy. The engineer was very helpful in explaining the way the box worked too. The deal from virgin was competitively priced and came with a free gift. The bills and online forum is very quick and simple for ease of access. However, the internet can be slightly inconsistent, and the boxes range is less than the range of our BT box last year. Overall Virgin Media has been a better experience, and the internet has been more consistent than BT's.

The internet is always slow and very often doesn't work at all. We were overcharged by £90 last month and when we had it installed we paid for them to set it up and it was just left at our door.

The speed of the Virgin Media Broadband is by far the best we have had in comparison to Sky. Although, ocassionally once in a while the wifi does not work or appear so we have to phone the customer service team. Additionally, the customer service is bad since we usually have to wait half an hour before we are put to through to the right department. We also have an inconsistent billing sometimes such as extra charges which are not made clear in the monthly statement so we often have to enquire about that.

The speed of the internet is top in the country as far as I am aware and that is super. The download and upload speeds will satisfy any user guaranteed. It can be a little on and off at points with the speeds as well as random maintenance. Though, in general i'm giving it 4/5 stars just because it tends to achieve most of the factors that broadband should have. Nevertheless customer services could be a little more simplistic, but they never are. If you ask them about anything specific they will give you the most long and confusing answer with a billion options leaving you thinking if talking to customer services was really the best choice, thereagain if you have time to chat to them they do give up eventually and tell you what you need to know.

Didn't turn up the first installation date and then lied and said we weren't home, when they never showed up. Then the second date arranged they came late. Also overcharged us on the first bill. but since then there have been no problems - reliable internet speeds and quality.

We are using the full-speed package. The overall quality is quite good. Generally, there are no problems with loading pages and using multiple devices at the same time. It took a while to Virgin to install it though! Recently we have also been experiencing a lot of buffering on all devices. On a couple of occasions we have been completely cut off with no connection.
