I signed up to get a student current account while doing my masters, after having completed a three years bachelor in the UK. The current account application form said that you had to prove to have been living in the UK for threee years prior to your application, which obvioiusly I did. However, when I went to the branch to apply, I have been told that for European students this doesn't apply. I got a normal 1|2|3 account though, which I'm pretty satisfied with for now, because it includes no fes on international bank transfers, whether you're receiving them or sending them, which comes really handy. Moreover, the online banking with Santander is amazing and the retailer offers on the new app are really convenient, they often include trainlinetickets or national express tickets, and you can get certain percentages of cashback each month.
