Pre-drinks is the best part of a night out. The night is young, energy levels are high and your Spotify is doing bits for your social life.
Everyone (generally) smells and looks amazing, buzzing with anticipation of the night to follow.
But if there’s only one thing better than hosting pre-drinks, it’s the booze that’s left behind. You won’t want to think about it for a full 24 hours, or at least until your hangover’s gone. But when it clears, you’re sitting on a goldmine my friend.
So why not leave the echo falls in the fridge, and try your hand at some of these easy cocktails. Hey, it might even bring you and your new housemates closer together. Because let’s face it, you know you can do better than vodka-squash. 🙌
FIRST THINGS FIRST...
You don’t need fancy kitchenware to make delicious drinks, you just need spirit! Okay, that was a bad joke, but it’s true. You can make amazing cocktails with whatever you have in the kitchen.
Improvisation is key. Not shot pourer? No problem, just use the lid from the bottle. No fancy glasses? No worries, mugs will do. Just remember to make some ice, and everyone will be happy.
THE VODKA ONE
Woo Woo
Refreshing, tropical and boujee
🍹Glass shape: tall (pint will do)
Ingredients: Vodka, peach schnapps, cranberry juice, ice
Feeling fancy? Throw some orange juice in there, and you’ve got yourself a Sex On The Beach (check you out!)
THE GIN ONE
Gin Rickey
Some say it’s the poor man's G&T, but we don’t care for labels

Ingredients: Gin (any), ½ a lime (juice), sparkling water, ice
Feeling fancy? Splash out on some elderflower cordial or sugar syrup for a much sweeter taste.
THE RUM ONE
Lemonade Rum Punch
Bring the tiki bar to you! The shores of Hawaii to student halls

Ingredients: Rum (any), pineapple juice, lemonade, ice
Feeling fancy? Leftover Malibu goes a treat in this tropical tipple. And if you have dark rum to hand, add it last – it floats on the top!
THE SOURZ ONE

For those of you that like it sour

Ingredients: Raspberry (or Cherry) Sourz, lemonade, cranberry juice, ice
Big Apple

Red Bull Vodka Spritz
