Fika have prepared some great hacks with us which are often overlooked, giving you a little extra help at keeping on top of your emotional wellbeing.

Get a confidence boost by closing your eyes and reliving a past achievement.

A great way of taking your mind off of a stressful experience is to simply remember something positive. Shut your eyes, take a breath and think back to a fond memory.

Do a power pose for a minute or two.

It might sound silly, but this is a great means of improving your state of mind. Try a posture like a superhero, and see how it makes you feel. You never know, you might end up loving it.

Surround yourself with people who reduce your stress, not increase it.

This is the key to keep yourself in a positive state of mind. Often times, the people around us will have a strong effect on how we feel, so by keeping supporting friends and family close is a great advantage.

Your focus is a limited resource. Make sure that you take regular short breaks.

Tiring yourself out does nothing to help your wellbeing. Make sure of give yourself plenty of rests between periods of concentration, as it's a good means of making sure you're not overstressing yourself.

Take time to think about what you've learned and how you've grown.

When things don’t go as well as you would have liked, take some time reflect on what you've learned from the experience. Although challenging at the time, we often can use such periods of time for personal growth, so negatives at first can become positives in the long term.
