A lovely, traditional small-scale campus for someone wanting to go to university without a huge change from previous education. Everything you need is on campus, a bar, a shop, great sport facilities and eating areas. Halls are all a 5 minute walk, easy access and in a lovey area. Staff are great!
I feel very comfortable at my university and there are many social activities and clubs to keep me busy. They give me a break from uni work and help relief stress.
The campus is close to Manchester city centre with good transport links. There's lots of deals for students on and around campus, the staff are helpful and student life in general is good, the SU has lots of study spaces and communal areas as an alternative to other places on campus. There's lots of support regarding careers and opportunities to work on campus too
The university overall is a good university with great facilities. However, for my degree and possibly many others, the university lacks in providing support for its students. Academically wise.
The campus is big with nice buildings and parks and a very friendly vibe. The level of education is great I really enjoy my course and feel like my tutors really care
Great place to study with friendly tutors and staff. Students well supported when needed and wonderful facilities to study in.
It has a good campus with good sized classrooms, always enough space for all people. Also, lectureses have microphones which allows for wveyone to be able to hear then no matter where they're sitting as well as being able to see the huge board from far away.
Half way through my last year doing sociology and it’s just great. I throughly enjoy all the modules and all the staff are so encouraging and devoted to making you not only a better student but also a better person by instilling important corr values
This university provides great learning areas, with plenty of useful resources in order for every student on every course to get the best out of their university life. I think more could be made of the union area, a more pup-like/sociable feel would help it a lot.
There are helpful lecturers and an array of facilities within your course and health and well-being.
The campus is very nice, my course is very interesting, I love the food the give at the union, the careers services provide us with useful information for future careers as well as it shows us opportunities on-campus or other organisations
Teachers and other students ate friendly and informative. The teachers in my course are very helpful for when it comes to information also because I have children they offer me loads of support
Nice places to get food. Good buildings and lecturers. Could have more parking Weekly emails about the careers thT are open to us as university students. Good big sized halls
Overall a good uni, good facilities, good range of clubs. There is also a lot of sources for all kinds of support.
I do love Manchester metropolitan university as I feel I have grown throughout my degree. Getting support from tutors, facilities and various activities provided has made a significant impact on how I learn and enabled better grades. A lot of out of hours activities the university set up are unique for every student which ensures everyone's included.
The campus is modern and there is always space in the library to get a computer. Courses are great and lectures are a massive help when you need them.
The facilities at MMU business school are absolutely incredible and the campus is a stunning piece of architecture. My course could be better, lectures and tutorials are boring however, the final year units are practical and engaging.
Campus is nice and lecturers are friendly, student union is very stylish and inviting and provides a wide range of facilities. My lectures are taught well and have interesting content
Campus is fairly spread out but everything is still close to each other. All buildings and rooms are easily accessible and lecture theatres are quite small compared to other universities I've seen. Facilities available are of high quality including labs and equipment for all courses. Careers service is good, I've heard, although I don't know too much about it personally.
I'm studying on the acting course and I receive minimum 30 contact hours a week. Although our temporary building isn't great, the teaching staff work very hard.
Manchester metropolitan university is a decent university, it has fairly good facilities and some nice buildings. It could use more computers in the library etc as it can be a struggle to find one in peak exam period .
Career services are very good with drop in sessions every week, student union has an exhaustive selection of societies to join, facilities are great and modern, could do with less independent study time during the week and more lecture time
Manchester Metropolitan University is a University that cares about its students. Most of my lectures are recorded so if I miss one I can catch up at a later date. The lecturers offer extra help when you need it.
Overall i would say that i enjoy my course. the work and assignments are fine and the teachers offer enough help with it that it's easy, there are a few options for people suffering with a mental health issue, such as personal learning plans and tutor support and there are many extra groups outside of classes that makes it easier to meet new people and meet friends.
